Just set this up and immediately destroyed. Trying something new after a month long break

I have the most adorable kitten, about 5ish months old. And every night she wakes me up by instantly licking my face and kneading my neck. It's cute,, but also slightly painful and gross while I'm trying to sleep.

She won't settle down to cuddle either, it's all or nothing. Intense love and grossness on my face, then she's gone.

Is there any way to get her to stop? Or at least lower the intensity? I wouldn't mind cuddling with her at all 🥺

I love these so much,, I remember I used to get them for like, $2. no other salt and vinegar chip burns my tongue the same and I crave that pain. But I can't find them anywhere, not on Walmart, amazon, dollar store etc.

Where can I go to buy these?? Not even lays website had it listed from the brief glance I took

They came from a shelter and we've had them about a week and a half. Is it normal they haven't meowed or made any noise at all?

They aren't super cuddly but they will purr when I pet them and let me hold them, so I do think their starting to warm up a little

I've just been periodically pulling it out, but it's stuck to the wood now. How to I free the wood of this torture?

Also I'm like 80% sure it's growing because I leave the light on too long. I'm working on it. I turn it on in the mornings before I leave for work and don't turn it off until I go to bed because I like watching my fish swim around lol.

Also to get this out of the way: it's a 5 gallon tank

I love my ember tetras, they are very dear to me. But I only ever see them in the mornings when I feed them and that makes me sad :( I'm kinda on the fence rn between keeping them or giving them away to a good home and getting some more confident schooling fish. Maybe guppy's? I'm open to ideas.

I only have 4 right now ?(I knowww, it's so little :(. ) but I just upgraded from the 10 gallon to a 20 so I have more space to add more fishes. But will adding 3-4 more actually help with the confidence? They swim off whenever I enter my room or make some sudden of a noise /movement

I recently upgraded to a 20 gallon long and am trying to decide on what to stick inside it. I love both the hillstreams and khulis, would I be able to fit both instead of just one type? They both live in the bottom area so idk how that works. Currently it just has some ember tetras I might rehome if they don't fit the same parameters as the loach I choose and replace them with something else.

I'm going to wait until I see if my plants do well or die before making any big stocking choices, but do you guys have any advice? And is there any changes I should make before beginning my loach journey?

Just looking for some ideas on what to do with the new tank :)

Pleaseeee tell me oil didn't somehow get into the tank :( I don't even know how I'd clean that up. And I just bought him a nice canister filter to set up so I'd rather not also buy him a whole new aquarium too 😭

Edit: I upped the sponge filter flow and will look I to getting a surface skimmer if that doesn't fix it :)

Their just walking around but I don't see a mom anywhere, not sure what to do? Do moms usually leave them alone for a bit??

Chiller got turned off for winter and I forgot about it. I don't think it ever got emptied, and now when it turns on the flow is reaaaaaly slow. I think there's probably some kind of buildup that grew, and I'm not sure how to clean it??

Can i save it? I'd rather not buy a new one if I can help it. But if i do, how can I go about getting the chiller ready to be off for the winter months?

First ever batch or eggs, I kept them because one of my snails died shorty after they appeared :( so I was hoping maybe on of the children would look like him if they hatch?

However if they are hatching: I should get rid of it because i do not have the space for that many children.

But if it's rotting: oh well, I should still get rid of it and give up on snail children.

I guess i just want to know if I have more snails now?? I took the rest out and put it on a wet paper towel floating above the tank because I didn't want anything to happen while I'm at work just incase.
