I’ve been seeing these types of centipedes more often this week than usual, and I was wondering what species they could be? I was able to move the first one I found (a bit bigger than this little guy, maybe about half an inch-to an inch?), but this one ran off before I could move him unfortunately. Apologies if the photos are a bit blurred, they were scurrying off pretty fast.
Hey yall, I was recently given this tank by a friend (already had the substrate and back ground) and was wondering what would work in it, the substrate was apparently 60% terra firma, 30% terra Sahara and then 10% worm castings (she said it was for the plants as she originally wanted to put a hognose in it), I’ve got a few snakes and dart frogs but I don’t think it would be big enough for any of the snakes I have, I’m gonna measure it tomorrow but I think it’s about a 40 gallon. I was thinking about scooping out the substrate and saving it for later and then doing maybe another dart frog enclosure, but I’m open to ideas! (Edit: it’s a 30 gallon so I was about 10 off)
I know this species is a bit “overrated” but I’ve been very excited to finally get some! They came in just two weeks ago and so far I’ve only had one death out of 40 pods (39 I guess now).
So far they’ve taken very well to the bark I’ve put in there and have been eating on they’re cuttlefish bone quite a bit, it’s very entertaining to watch them go after the egg shells I put on that smaller piece of bark in the top right corner, they’ve managed pushed the bark around and off the larger piece just to get to the shells. I’m also kind of excited to be able to finally line breed these guys just to see what I can get from the patterns once they take off a bit more.
If anyone has any advice on breeding for specific patterns please do share! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I’ve been wanting to upgrade my male 2 year old western hog nose into a bioactive enclosure recently, but I’m on the fence on what lighting to use for it. I bought a BioDude solar grow LED 36” for the plants but I’m unsure of what lights to get for my boy, any advice would be appreciated!
Hey y’all, I’ve had this pillow for years now and it’s finally starting to get worn down, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of one like it? I’m not too sure what it’s made of but it’s a beauty rest (I’ll include a picture). When I went to look for it on they’re site they only had three ones for sell and they aren’t really what I’m looking one.
I downloaded it tonight and as soon as I go to use it the UI for it pops up, but it’s not letting me select anything except the exit button out of it.
Ive recently downloaded the paleo “hard hitting herbivore pack” and I’ve enjoyed it so far but I’m a bit confused at not being able to level up my theris harvesting skill. When I press triangle then X on the option it won’t do anything. Anyone else having issues with this on PS5?
This mushroom keeps popping back up every year since about three years ago, the white portion has gotten bigger compared to last years, but I think it’s a reishi? Any thoughts?
I’m wanting to upgrade my male western hognose enclosure to something more bioactive (I have another tank just as large he can go in for the time being) and I was wondering what substrate mix would work best for him? Aswell as what lights yall would recommend. Im worried about the heat not spreading correctly since the current light doesn’t look like it’s going to be enough.
Im pretty sure that it’s just scale coloration, But I noticed it a bit ago once he got a bit older (he’s six) it’s a bit more deeper grey in person. I don’t think it’s anything bad but it’s kind of neat looking since there’s no other real grey on his body other than his neck. Any thoughts?
He was out working with the weed eater and just happened to see it, he was able to move it to the front thankfully. I’m very happy to see that he’s kind of coming around to them. [west Tennessee]
We think it’s a cotton head but it’s difficult to tell without seeing its full body, we do have water snakes around here but it’s uncommon. Any clues on what it might be?
