Hi, I am a grad student looking to join any existing basketball groups here. Also I have a basketball if others interested in playing together.
I just play for fun, not super competitive or something, just something chill to wind down from academic stuff.
It might be a dumb question, but I did my undergrad at NTU where they had add/drop during first 2 weeks of classes. From what I've seen in the instructions, I am only able to drop classes currently, but still I want to check if I'm missing something and I am able to add another class.
Reason: I just went to a class today that I didn't enjoy and was hoping I can drop it and take a different one instead. However, if I am not allowed to take a different class then I'll just carry on (because I have planned for next 2 semesters already and I want to take at least 4 mods this semester)
Notebooks I get are of roughly 100 pages, but they run out too fast, I am looking for large notebooks with lots of pages 200++, as much as possible. A4 size is what I am looking for. I've seen students in China have these thick large notebooks and I am looking for something like that. Anyone have any idea where to find them?
Searching for rooms to stay still, and narrowed down to a few, and most of them have partition wall, but have heard before that, can really hear everything on the other side of the wall (from other room) and vice versa. I just want to check from those that have lived in such a scenario, how did you find your experience? Any tips?
Anyone taken this mod as a graduate student? Are there any pre-requisites to this, or can grad students just take it directly

I want to take advantage of my short time at NUS as much as possible. I'm actively seeking intern opportunities during my time here already. I want to know from NUS alumni, as a grad student what are some cool opportunities where you perhaps built something really sick, or were able to talk to some really cool people from the big companies, or won interesting competitions, maybe some research opportunities, anything.
I would love to join CCA's but I'm not sure if they would allow grad students to join, so that is there as well.

They said 22nd July, today, but nothing changed yet.
It says need to arrive by 1:30 for both graduates and guests, but the ceremony only starts at 2 apparently, so what time do you and your guests arrive.
Also, do we both just go to auditorium or do students need to arrive some other place?
Lastly, just to check, most people will arrive at the auditorium just wearing their formal attire and put on their gown and everything after arrival right?

Anyone that has taken this module, I would like to understand what is the rough topic outline for this module, is it just math-heavy modelling, or is there any software engineering aspect, for example, modelling AI's uncertainty (hallucinations) in a RAG.

Only $10 difference between buying and renting, and with transportation cost to go there and return, I think will be around 5$ difference. What are you guys doing?
My housing application was unsuccessful, I assume graduate school housing is super competitive cause I didn't get either of the 3 options I put.
Anyway, I looked through the pdf NUS gave about external hostels, but that looked outdated and also majority of those hostels were no where near NUS.
So, could I kindly ask for your guys' opinion for hostels, housing, or potentially even condos to rent either inside the campus or nearby campus.
Most of my courses will be in School of Computing I'm pretty sure. The only kind of hard stipulation I have is that I want a private (single) room. And if possible its like PGP where it is a single room, private, and no need to live with other people in a shared house, but this is not a hard preference (I know beggars can't be choosers).
I am looking for part-time positions, however, the exact niche I want is not there yet, but there are slightly similar alternatives, some that are only for 2-3 months.
So I was wondering if the quantity of job postings are pretty standard throughout the year or whether most of job postings occur prior to start of semester.
Basically I want to know if I should wait longer for the particular niche I want or should I take what I can get before all of the postings are filled
Recently got an email about orientations from NUS OSA, but I think all of them will be filled almost completely with undergrad students, and not sure if I fit in. So are there going to be any orientation for masters' students? (From School of Computing btw)

Just now got an email about 'Additional Information', it includes that I (graduate student) will recieve an email for registration from 8th June onwards. Wondering if this email I recieved is the actual email, or I will receive another email later on.
