Post op

Please suggest some candles or wax melts for my first few days post elective limb surgery. I’m expecting an EFFload of pain and want to treat myself to something lovely to look forward to. X

Barrier repair / hydrating face mists?

I’m due to have surgery soon and going to be laid up mostly in bed for a few days, so looking forward to a few bits and pieces for self care in the days afterwards.
Would like to purchase a decent facial mist. I’ve bought Avene and Elf in the past and been a bit meh. Are there any people would recommend please?

Tendre Poison

Had a flashback over how much I used to love this fragrance. Long discontinued. I don’t want to buy a dupe.

Is there anyone who remembers this, with its delightful blend of green / spice / floral / amber / musk? Does anything exist now that evokes it? Bonus points if niche / small brand please rather than big labels.

Day case surgery

Silly question alert.
I’ve been sent instructions to bring pyjamas for post op after I have a Morton’s neuroma and bursa excision soon.
Won’t it be really hard to put pyjamas on over my foot? Would I not be better to bring a dress?
The aim is I will be going home on the same day.

Watermelon fragrances please

Viva La Vida: painted by Frida on her death bed. Watermelon is one of my favourite summer scents. Can anyone recommend please?

Most adults are surprisingly boring, regardless of how much money they have.

It’s not about being unable to afford things. Plenty of people have the time and money to go somewhere new, try a hobby, visit a new place, see a show, explore a nearby town; or just do something different occasionally.

Instead, they seem happy doing the same things week after week, year after year. Same places, same routines, same conversations.

I feel increasingly that curiosity, or even a sense of fun & adventure might be much rarer than people like to admit?

Coffee shop candles but not too much vanilla

Despite loving a good Victoria sponge cake, and ice cream, my husband hates any whiff of vanilla in candles. I’m not a fan of strongly gourmand vanilla perfumes tbh either.

However, I’d really like a nice boutique coffee shop fragranced candle, if such a thing exists, minus vanilla. I want to smell a good double shot espresso with dark chocolate, or brown sugar, maybe cinnamon… Can anyone advise please? I want to smell luxury coffee shop without leaving the house, or baking, or drinking caffeinating after 3pm! X
