I have been experiencing micro stutters (as if the FPS dropped, but steam overlay still display 90 FPS) and up to 1 minute long freezes on my display.

It is not only limited to the game, but to the second monitor too.

Even during 1 min total frame freezes the game reacts instantly, there is feedback to my actions and there is continuous smooth sound.

I have been experiencing it on Necromunda: Hired Gun and Astroneer, but not on The Talos Principle or Stardew Valley.

Since it only happened on games that need proton I tried switching around between Proton hotfix, 10 and 11, but the supposedly stable versions didnt fix the problem.

I forced performance mode since I read it could be the GPU downclocking, didnt help.

I tried unplugging my second monitor (which is plugged in to the MB and not the GPU.

RAM and CPU usage seems normal, and the temps are around 80-90 which for my CPU should be normal.

Are there any other options I could try?

Im running CachyOS (updated everything this morning, no fix (to my knowledge this should meen that drivers are also up to date))

AMD RX9070XT

Ryzen7 7700X

32GB RAM

Is this information sufficient or should I add anything else?

Im looking for a hardware monitor for CachyOS, that can display CPU/GPU temps, utilization (also for RAM), power draw. I am looking for something visually appealing and customizable that would also look good in a PC case display. Preferably open source. So far I could only find programs very similar to the basic System Monitor.

I want to build a PC that is upgradeable. Some years from now (~5) I want to upgrade to the last AM5 CPU (if necessary) and keep upgrading GPUs. Both of them have a Gen5 PCIe slot, which I think is the only concern for future GPUs.

Gigabyte is $70 more expensive, is it worth it?

One difference that catched my eye is that Gigabyte has 60A DrMOS, while AsRock has 80A. Is that relevant for me? (Ryzen 7 7700X and RX 9070 XT). Would the 60A limit me in upgrading to high-end GPU and CPU in the future? Would it limit overclocking?

According to PCPartPicker the AsRock already needs a BIOS update, is it likely that they wont provide BIOS updates for future AM5 CPUs?

Do fan connectors matter? In the future I plan on adding more RGB stuff (fans, stripes, power cables), in-case screens and similar stuff. Do I need to plan ahead for those?

Are there any differences that I am missing?
