Samsung TV Remote "Back" Button Fails on Apple TV Beta 5

On beta 5 my Samsung Remote "Back/Return" button no longer works. Have tired this on two Apple TVs and two different Samsung remotes. Everything is fine on Beta 4, but the "Back/Return" button is no longer working as soon as I upgrade to Beta5. I've reported this in Apple Feedback. Feedback status shows more than 10 reports on this with the status "open"

Apple Remote and the I phone Remote application work fine. Just the Samsung remote back/return button is affected on Beta5

What is the advantage of turning on IPv6?

I’m not a network expert. I have an Orbi RBR750 system running in AP mode with three wired satellites. I have not enabled IPv6 on my Ubiquiti edge router but it’s “available from my ISP”. My network and all devices seem to connect fine and stay connected. What are the advantages of enabling IPv6, or am I just asking for trouble?

Potential Workaround for older Aspire machines for the Microsoft Windows 11 Secure Boot Certificate Problem

Possible Fix/Work around for Secure Boot Certificate ..for the Acer Aspire TC-780

I have an Acer TC-780 running the original BIOS version R01-A0. This machine was purchased in 2016. I forced it to update to Windows 11 Home and it runs reasonably well. Now the MS Windows Security App within Device Security reports that secure boot is on, but new certificates can not be installed automatically.

Good News: I have gone through a process within the BIOS to Restore the Secure Boot Factory Keys. After I did this, the next windows restart and update successfully loaded an update named "Secure Boot Allowed Signature Database (DB) Update". I also used the Power-shell command to Get-UEFISecurBoot Certs and it returns "True" which seems to confirm that the Windows UEFI CA 2023 certificate is physically written into NVRAM cache.

Bad News: Because Windows sees my older 7th gen machine that Acer has officially designated end of life, Windows Security continues to say my machine cannot receive future secure boot certificates. The Windows Security App apparently doesn't actually check the live motherboard keys, but instead only looks at the motherboard board model number and its BIOS creation date of 2016 -- and automatically lists the machine secure boot certificates as not able to be automatically updated.

If anyone would like the specific steps I took or more info, please ask. I'm assuming the basic problem is "solved" even though MS Security still gives the warning. Also I assume given the age of the machine there will be no fixes from Acer on this old machine. And if further/future problems occur, I may just have to turn off Secure Boot in the BIOS and hope the machine will continue to run future versions of Window 11.

Walk Away Lock, Locking at Home Location

I have a 2021 Model 3, recently upgraded to firmware 2026.20.3. Now my car is auto locking when in my home garage even with the check box checked to not lock at home. I've tried a system restart and to disable and re-enable Walk Away Locking. The only way I can prevent the locking at home is to totally disable Walk Away Locking. Any ideas/suggestions? Anyone else having this problem?

The "Set up Talk to Siri" Notification Keeps Coming Back after installation

Hi all,

Wondering if any others are still getting the Settings Notification to "Set up Talk to Siri" after instillation of the new Siri. I keep getting this notification. I'm on IOS 27.0 Beta 2 and have the new Siri installed. Siri seems to be fully installed and is working OK. If I go into the set up (follow the link) there is nothing to set up, the notification prompt goes away, but then keeps coming back later. Any ideas appreciated -- I've reported this as a bug in Feedback.

What to do? RBR50/40/30/20 and Satellites at end of life

Wonder if we can get a discussion going.

I and many others still have RBR/RBS 50/40/30/20 systems actively running. I personally have an RBR50 and a RBS20 wireless satellite active in my home. This system is rock solid and performs well to meet my needs. It runs in router mode.

I realize there will be no firmware updates after June 2026 for the RBR50, but frankly the Netgear firmware updates have been quite infrequent. I'm not highly technical on the support and security risks but would appreciate any discussion on the real risks to continue to use this system over the next 1-2 years. The following questions occur to me:

  1. What is the real risk to my network to simply continue to use the RBR50/RBS20 system? Can someone explain the actual risk profile in non-technical terms?
  2. If I were to install an inexpensive edge router and run the system in AP mode -- would that significantly lower the security risk profile?
  3. Should I consider installing 3rd party (Voxel) firmware (and what is the risk/benefit of doing that) to keep the firmware "supported"?
  4. What would be a reasonable/low cost solution to replace the RBR50/RBS20? I've considered a used RBR750 or RBR850 -- but these are nearing end of life as well, I think.
  5. Other thoughts?

I'm having a problem with Apple Mail using Gmail. This is occurring when I attempt to move messages from my Gmail inbox to other Gmail folders. Since version 26.4 (and continuing in 26.5 beta) the move to my selected target folder always defaults to the "Important" folder. This move default process used to "remember" other folders to move things to (by From source and/or subject topic). Is anyone else seeing this problem? Is there some new setup or setting that controls this new behavior?

This behavior still exists in the Developer 26.5 Beta 2 AND Developer 26.5 Beta 3 released on 4-20-26

Update April 22nd -- Maybe Fixed?? The Mail application recommended a default folder to move an email to (other than "Important"), today April 22nd for the first time. Perhaps this is fixed but not by an application change -- but as an issue fixed between Apple Mail and it's Gmail interface (??). Anyone else seeing new behavior?

Update April 25th -- I thought maybe it was solved since the app did make a single recommendation to move one email to a "correct" different folder, but this has happened only once. So I'm concluding the problem isn't really solved. Perhaps there is an internal ios file used by Mail that gets gradually updated with usage but I'm not sure. Other reddit users report that this is working for some email systems -- but right now its still broken for Gmail. My Apple Feedback case FB22318790 (as a developer beta tester) is still "open" as of today 4/26/26

Update April 30th -- Not resolved in ios 26.5 Beta 4. Apple Feedback case remains open.
