I don’t have an image of it, but the first time I took my Lord Black Cat into comp some said “Wow. A lord Black Cat”

I find it wild they found it wild because it might have been 3 weeks into 7.5, but I know some people who eat, sleep and breathe this character and probably maxed her out by day 3, not day 21. (No shame to those who do this. I find it impressive in fact because you have stronger will and patience than I do)

Here are my current stats. The reason why I don’t have many Emma hours despite being my first true proper main is because I’m off and on of Marvel Rivals.

Which Fem Primarch would be interesting into turning their lovers into… “”Thrones””?

Yes, I’m sorry you just sat down, but this is a bit more spicy subreddit so I hope this flies.

I have a weird fascination with women sitting on men’s faces. I don’t know why, but I just do. Perhaps it’s an extension of male submission and feminine dominance but I just do.

I began to explain each in a monstrous paragraph but stopped myself at Lorgar because that’s my tired mind high jacking my energy, no no, let me leave it up for the community. Bad Tired Brain! Bad! I know you been awake for 21 hours but no! Bad mind!

Also I must thank you because only being so tired am I so bold to even post this.

If the 4 other OG CSM Legions get a generic Chaos Lord equivalent, what do you think we’d get?

So some are obvious but others aren’t really, to me anyway.

First I must preface whom I mean; The Iron Warriors, The Night Lords, The Word Bearers and Alpha Legion.

Iron Warriors are kinda Obvious; a Warsmith. We got a named Warsmith but a generic one could be cool too.

In Space Marine 2, the Chaos Assault(a Night Lord) when respawning states, “The Talonmaster demands my return” so, I guess that? Also I feel there’s an answer in the Night Lord’s Trilogy and the fact I haven’t gotten around to hear or reading those books is really starting to weigh on me.

The Word Bearers are tricky I feel because as much as a Gal Vorbak sounds like the answer, I kinda don’t want them to have a possessed leader because we already got people thinking that Flawless Blades and 8-bound are the elite of their respective factions, naw they are possessed just as a Gal Vorbak is. Would a Gal Vorbak make sense? Yes. Would I want my cousins of the XVIIth to get one? Oh yes. So I guess that’s it unless there’s an answer in a book I haven’t gotten around to reading yet… oof.

Finally the Alpha Legion, I feel like a Harrowmaster is the obvious answer but if I recall, isn’t a Harrowmaster above a typical Chaos Lord or even Chaos Warlord? It’s a rank above all that, the leading head of the converging Hydra. So maybe Harrowmaster or another rank below that in the fluid Alpha Legion.

I made a post like this before but now the thought has resurfaced because I want to pad my Chaos Warbands with fluff, like My World Eater Lord killing a Phoenix Guard or my Black Legionaries fighting with a Night Lord Warband and one of my boys is both astonished and horrified(more so impressed really) at the sight of their cousin’s Chao Lord equivalent.

Is felling Victrix Guard an impressive feat? (For Chaos Marines)

So, I’m a Chaos Guy but I adore these minis, they are wonderful, heck I might pick some up and either make Flawless Blades or just paint them up as proper Victrix Guard, but if I do pick them up, I might steal some heads/helmets or blades for trophies for my Various Chaos characters. Mainly Black Legion, Emperor’s Children and World Eaters… maybe Thousand Sons.

I’m asking you guys because these are your boys, and I feel it’s best to ask the source.

I’m reading through our detachments, enhancements and strats and wow, these are kinda boring and samesies across the board.

My favorite EC Artwork aside.

I like reading through all the rules of my armies because I learn something I didn’t know, so focused am I on the hobby angle that I forget the rules and such.

But these are the only 2 things that really caught my attention; Peerless Bladesman basically has a mini version of Dark Pact but for melee requiring a Charge and you can patch up daemons or return Daemonettes in Carnival of Excess. Also, a cute little Nighlords like move in Peerless.

But that’s It. Seriously! Sure there’s some juicy enhancements but yeah, only those 3.

I read through 4 detachments and 3 had 6 inch pile in Strats and also 3 of them had a reactive move. All of them had -1 to hit in melee, -1 to hit in shooting. Etc etc. It all felt rather bland.

Also there’s so many damn means of putting people in strategic reserve it’s insane. I swear there’s a legal way to have 75% of your army in reserve if you do it right. Which; actually sounds horrifying.

I’m gonna keep reading, I’m now on my favorite and go to; Coterie of the Conceited. Let me read through that and the final 2 after that. I have a feeling Court of the Phoenician is gonna be interesting as per all Christmas detachments.

I’m making this post because, well, again, I got so caught up in the hobby, buying, painting and such of Warhammer that I complete leave out the rules, though it kinda makes sense when you have close to $1000 on the board and I barely own $230 (10 Tor/fractors, 6 Noise Marines, a Rhino and a Lord Exultant) and am currently focusing on CSM more.

Playing this game is fun and all but damn, does losing suck.

So this is my track record in games, and I noticed something; I am a 9 match losing streak.

The Murderwing Game against Blades isn’t tallied because I quit, and we couldn’t entirely finish the Duo game because the store we were playing at was closing.

I’m making this post because of my most recent games last Friday. Hot damn. THESE DAMN ELVES. Turn 1, my Balefire is hurt and it’s killed at the start of turn 2, I only kill 2 elves by the end and am TABLED. I swear to goodness my opponent did an illegal charge and fight against my Aspiring Champion getting him 3 health. Then tried to finish me off with a Shuriken Pistol(did the fall back thing) and I literally had to yell at my opponent “YOU CANT SEE HIM!!” Because, yeah, no literally. The Bashee couldn’t even see the top of my dudes topknot but he still tried to shoot him. And my next game, I messed up the Shrivetalon-Grisly Mark in front of a door which costs me him turn 1 and then my Aspiring Champion dies from I swear a BS Torrent because my opponents flamer could see his chainsword. Yes he was on Engage but holy hell now it feels like I need to be a petty bastard and position my guys in a way that it cannot happen again. And everytime, I swear I try to do something cheeky and am told no, but my opponents absolutely can.

In a game a while ago(I won), my Chaos Lord with Jump Pack was blasted by a spell inside a half building on vulkus through a window on conceal. HOW? That still feels like BS. Not an obscured shot either. It’s probably legal though, knowing this game.

As I go on, I fear I’m gonna be this smug, cruel, petty, overly calculating bastard trying to do this most viscous and cruel maneuvers on my opponent to win because that’s how it feels it’s gonna take to win.

I like playing this game more than I do winning but holy hell, 38 games in, only 8 victories, 1 tie and 29 losses starts to weigh man. Especially on a 9 match losing streak right now.

Maybe I’m also being too hard on myself, my last games were my second fight against Blades and my first fight against Battleclade. If I fought a 6th match against Tempestus Aquilions and lost, I think I’d loose it since well, I fought them so many times but still lose.

Eh, this post will likely get 70 downvotes with all the comments being “Get Gud” “Sore Loser” “38 games in and complaining” “Guy picked Murderwing and is still losing” “Wow you sound like an awful opponent and whiney bitch” etc etc. eh, I felt like sharing this. The more and more I go on, the more and more I swear I’m gonna turn into these jaded guys. Wanting to punish every mistake, wanting to the most cruel maneuvers, making every fight seem really personal. (My first fight against Blades of Khaine was super Personal. My opponent bloody hates fighting Jetpack boys and took full advantage that this was my first game against Blades)

I’ll try to explain more context to everything if people ask like the Duo game and what not. This thought train has been eating me alive and needs to be popped.

If several Imperial Books are considering Imperial Propaganda, what books would you say are Chaos Propaganda?

So I’m listening to this book and several moments just feel like Chaos Propaganda. Like wow, these guys are evil, chill and seem like the worst of best homies.

Also it’s kinda funny that despite being released 4 years ago, Huron’s whole Command Squad is here. Garreon is mentioned several times, Katar appears, Garlon appears, Huron deals with some Turailions(which is what the Enforcer is) and finally I’m on chapter 17 and Captain Sargotta is mentioned! Huh. These weren’t asspulls. Interesting. I like it.

Why might be some reasons to have elite Astra Militarum turn traitor?

I’m a Chaos guy but have sorta fallen in love with the idea of my marines having traitor guardsman either permanently shacked with them or temporarily with my boys. But that’s brings up the question; why might these elite and interesting guardsman turn? Why would Kasrkin turn? Why would Tempest Scions or Aquilions turn? Whole tank crews of Baneblades turn?

I’m asking you guys since you know your little green men best. And I have feeling some of you have whole traitor guardsman armies.

I am genuinely shocked. Huh, I thought they’d do the greedy thing, but they did not.

I thought they would sell the Murderwing Raptors as 5 and since the Chaos Lord in necessary and make you buy the $40 Chaos Lord by himself to play the team. But no, they just put him in there and raised the price to $84. I’m fine either way since I want more Raptors.

Also the name they picked is funny. I love their little poetic titles they give the Killteams. “Veteran Heretic Astartes” “Rampaging Beastmen Warherd” etc etc. I’m actually shocked they didn’t say “Heretic Astartes Aerial Shock Troops”. Still funny though.

u/Arthur_EyelanderTF2 — 12 days ago

I magnetized the Champion for Killteam, this is an illegal load out but I plan to put the Warptalon on the next 5 I get.

They are Black Legion but with thunderbolt markings.

u/Arthur_EyelanderTF2 — 13 days ago

(BL Raptor unrelated) but I’m asking cause I plan to paint my friend some Night Lords but she’s super indecisive but so am I. I’ve worked with gold and brass but no copper and copper is really tempting. But I wanted to ask the experts.

So these are the equivalents of my Chaos Warlord of my 5 Warbands. The Fierce, The Jinx, The Clad, the Bloodseeker and the Wise. I want to give them each an impressive feat but I don’t know what’s impressive or nots like killing a small knight, or killing a Meganob, or killing an Exarch, or killing a Patriarch, or killing a Hive Tyrant or killing an Emperor’s Champion, or killing several Victrix Guard. I’m asking because honestly? I cannot tell if I should do poetic, for instance, should my World Eater Lord kill an even more impressive Melee fighter in Melee combat? Or a powerful Psyker? Should my Death Guard lord kill an equally tough foe? Or stanch up a speedster and kill them?

Besides I’m not only one who likes to chef up lore for their
Little dudes.

Also I don’t want to have some nonsense about how my injured Lord Exultant killed a Knight Errant in single combat in an equal duel where his power spear was parrying the massive chainsword. That’s BS. Not impossible but definitely BS.

u/Arthur_EyelanderTF2 — 18 days ago

I wanted my Chosen to all be unique and have different bodies and helmets, I was tempted to use Legionaries and Raiders but that plan fell apart because, neither are Ornate enough for my tastes. So I think instead; when I eventually get my hands on a Night Lord’s Combat Patrol, and get the Chosen; I think I’ll just use those bodies still but give them all unique helmets and melee weapons; and unique power packs. I originally planned to use Possessed Heads anyway for the other 4 unique helmets I need(I would just paint the flesh as metal tones) so using the Powerpacks too would be cool.

Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone did the same.

I swear I’ve never seen the first model; it looks like a chosen or ironically a Raider but with such a staff.

The Word Bearers has that cool helmet that might just come with the Chaos Sorcerer and the cool incense staff but I’ve never seen it before!

The third is clearly a Legionary but I’ve never heard or seen that head before! Also where’s that cool Khornate icon on his Powerpack from?

▲ 280 r/Necrons40k+1 crossposts

So, there are 3 factions I have a hard time mentally imagining interactions with my Chaos Marines; the Orks, the Tyranids and the Necrons.

But, I have a way to have the tin boiz and my chaos lads to interact: Mercenary Work. Most of my Chaos Marines are desperate and “””open mind””” enough to work for Xenos if the Xenos don’t screw them over first and if the Xenos have something they want.

It’s hard to imagine interactions with Necrons because their weapons are eerily powerful and the lower castes are mindless androids. Whilest the upper ones are very arrogant just like my lads and such egos will clash.

▲ 237 r/40kLore

For more lore fluff for my Chaos Warbands, I want some of the members to be “Traumatized” or rather the closest thing Heretic Astartes can be to traumatized by what they saw in the worst places in the Galaxy. But I would like to only pick 1.

“Brother Davis(pronounced ‘dav-is’) went to the worst place in this galaxy, he doesn’t speak about what he saw. Only stating he did what he must in the name of the Warmaster. He has an odd habit of overly cleaning his boltgun… perhaps some quirk picked up by what he saw. Hm. He fights fiercely but ever so silently, neither shouting for The Despoiler or to destroy the enemy. He will kill, shoot, and be shot and cut in utter silence.”

Something like that. You know?

I know that this is very “my guys’ lore” question but honestly? I don’t know what’s a worst place in space. The Halo Stars are described as awful and so are the Ghoul Stars, but asking which is more horrifying to behold for a Heretic Astartes.

And there have been lore instances of Astartes being traumatized, so there’s that.
