We are in the middle of packing up his mom's stuff since we are buying this house. Once we buy it, we are tearing up the carpet and painting. Devin and I discussed making an area for the cats, where they can play and rest.
Anyway, thank you again. Thank you for the kindness. Last night, Devin's brother was using the toys to play with Knight. A lot of laughter. 😁
One of the gifts to me from my cat is a bridal scrapbook with paper, a bunch of stickers and photos. I decided to help my cat make stickers for the reproposal, that I'll put in with the gift.
This was fun to do.
This isn't a meme, but rather a sweet story involving an old administrative assistant from my elementary school and Creative Memories. There isn't any story tag, so there's that.
As you all know, Devin and I are getting married and having a wedding shower. We decided that we wanted to remember our grandparents and we got gifts from them, then made cards with what we knew they would say of our upcoming marriage.
Well, the gift is going to be a swimming themed Creative Memories scrapbook. One of my friends let me use her pool one Saturday and I took photos. I ordered the photos and the Creative Memories album last Friday.
This was my first time ordering (since my neighbour gave me all her CM albums and supplies from the early 2000s) and I saw I could order from a consultant.
This one consultant's name looked familiar and I thought, "I wonder if this is the kind administrative staff from my elementary school days who was nothing but kind to me."
I ordered and an hour later, she emailed me thanking me for the order. I asked her if she was the school AA and she replied that she was. We chatted for an hour or so, caught up, and gave some life updates. She retired. I'm getting married.
It was so sweet and we agreed to keep in touch. She can't wait to hear about the wedding and see the photos. Ironically, she has been selling CM since 1998 and I was still in elementary school. I wonder if that is why we got along so well.
I have found a lot of teachers, librarians, and attorneys are creative, and love memory keeping. I worked in a library for 18 years. I've been in law for 10. Seems like I work with like minded people. 😁
But I wanted to share that sweet story with y'all. Such a small world.
I love Tuesdays and I love our craft circle. So glad Sharon was there tonight, as well as Marissa. She brought one of her friends.
Her friend is going for a master's in higher education at Villanova and she has to write a story or poem relating to higher education.
I told her I'm a writer and gave her some ideas. Villanova in Latin means a "new home" or "new village." She could write a story or poem around that idea.
I'm almost done our birthday album! I'm thinking of getting a piece of ribbon to hold the book shut. I love that idea.

I didn't take any photos of breakfast that morning and with Trump's America, I've been very careful about selfies with strangers. I didn't want to make the family uncomfortable and fear I might be calling ICE.
Instead, I have an old typewriter and I typed out this sweet story. So glad I have coffee stickers..

When Devin reproposed with the engagement ring in the bridal set, he asked one of the diners to take photos. She took a video instead.
While I was able to screen shot some photos from the video, I do want to attach the video in some fashion to the scrapbook.
I could put it on a flash drive, but I don't know if that would preserve. I don't have a DVD burner anymore and even if I did, it's on my phone. I could download it from YouTube. Does anyone know if I could have this video put on something?
I want it to be put on timeless media, but I don't think that's possible with how much technology changes. Any idea of what I can put the video on and include it with the bridal scrapbook?
I'm friends with Mark Parisi and he let me use his birthday comic. I love Off the Mark.
