I'm gonna take a shot at using Synth V for spoken dialogue. I'm aware the Rap function is usually the best for this, but I tend to struggle with finding the right notes to make it sound natural. Anything that might help?
I bought this Model 1 unit as it had more games bundled with it than another listing I initially purchased which came bundled with just Sonic 1 before cancelling. Both listings seem to be the same hardware revision, but I'm slightly concerned about the washed-out colours and the scratches on the back of the console with this one. Do those mean much?
Yesterday I helped my grandfather out with taking some old computer parts and metal down to be recycled, but as we were about to leave I spotted his old CRT TV, a Matsui TV/DVD 1410, in a black bin bag. I tried to explain to him old tech still has a use today, but he wouldn't listen. Just as we got to the dump, however, one of the staff noticed the TV and told him he should think twice about tossing it away. Got no idea why he listened to the staff and not me in the first place.
So now I have this thing in my room (still need to find the remote) and a Mega Drive with a few games plus cables hopefully on the way (as well as a genMDM for using the sound chip as a synth). I haven't tested it yet, but wanted to ask if this is a good display for retro gaming.
I interpreted the ending of the game as a form of seizing the means of production, in a way. Isola first tries to take Hyperion's core from Nicholas Webb (the wealthy CEO who doesn't bother to fix his flawed AI due to it not being profitable) after shooting and killing him, but Bond destroys it before he and Isola are arrested and imprisoned by MI6. After cyborg Damien storms the building to make off with Theia, and is ultimately drowned with Bond, Isola comes back to take Theia's core, but then goes to the trouble to rescue Bond, then kisses him before leaving.
This made me see Isola as a genuinely good-natured person, who wants to take this crazily powerful AI from the hands of those who want to oppress the public and preserve their own class interests, and instead use it to improve people's material conditions, but can't tell Bond the truth because he's an MI6 agent, who exist to, among other things, uphold the imperialist status quo and protect capital, and would likely sabotage her plans if he found out (even though she sees good in him as a person). It's (probably) why she initially claims to work for the DGSE, as France is a fellow ally of the UK (and vassal state of the US).
There is also that scene where she speaks in Japanese to the submarine, but I'm not quite sure where to place that in her character yet. Thoughts?

I had a look at this analysis of the song, which said the tempo was 86 BPM, yet when I tried syncing the vocals to the instrumental in FL Studio, I couldn't get them to match.
Aside from that, how's my transcription/tuning? Anything I could do to make it sound more realistic/flow more smoothly? (certainly doesn't help that it's in multiple time signatures lol)

For me, this woman is the reason I picked up Cyberpunk (very good decision in hindsight!). The voice acting in this game alone carries the whole thing, IMO. Absolutely out of this world.

I've been doing some production work for uni, and one of the tracks I'm working on is a pop-punk/anime-inspired song (I find myself making music in that style often). For this one I thought a lot about tracks by the group Flavor Foley, and how they use metaphors to tell a story; Weathergirl, in particular, was a sizable influence for this track, which uses a star metaphor as a way of conveying feelings of inadequacy where everyone else around you is doing really well for themselves.

I had initially intended this to be the backing track for a commission I was going to ask Cherami Leigh (the voice of female V in the game) to perform vocals on, with the lyrics being about the plot of the game from V's perspective. Unfortunately, I have no prior experience with working professionally with others, and got too pushy to the point her agents told me to fuck off (in more polite terms than that). If there are any female vocalists around who can mimic her V voice and would be happy to work with me, I'd really appreciate that.

Hi, I just got a PS Vita today, already modded, and started over from scratch (reinstalled CFW, formatted the system). I've been trying to get PKGJ working, but when selecting refresh, it throws the error "can't get list, list is empty. Check for new version" even though I'm on the latest version, 0.57. Anyone have an idea of what to do?

I'm a cisgender man but wanted to get the opinion of people here.
Today I showed my mom the song Ego Renegade Boy by Flavor Foley, asking her what she thought of it (personally I think the trial allegory in the lyrics is quite creative). She complained of its violent lyrics of execution in the chorus (which I think are references to the tribulations of the song's protagonist?) and said she thought whoever wrote the song was mentally ill.
That comment surprised me, so I tried to explain to her what the meaning of the lyrics was, but she didn't seem to understand, although that might be because I have a hard time articulating things sometimes.
Is it just a me problem, or is my mom transphobic? (she was also firmly on the side of JK Rowling while that whole debate was flaring up btw)
