why do some people look aweful in other clothes and some dont ?

for example I dont look good in silk pointelle or any of those see through button shirt but can work with certain camp collar shirt

same with certain shoes/sneakers. same can be said for different colors. same can be said for berets, fedora, dad hats, etc

and then there's people who can rock ANYTHING. Like dad shoes, chunky shoes, flats, bomber jacket, puffer jacket, etc what explains this?

how do ya look put together & perfect all the time

curious for both genders. like I see people outside who just have their outfit well put together (everything goes together from top, bottom, sneakers, jewlery. things could be fitted or baggy and it still looks great. hair is always well maintain and healthy even if its windy or they had on a hat and takes it off. In addition their skin is always glistening.

How?

I know using the two third rule for outfits but in terms of everything else like moisturizing legs, and keeping skin glowing? Like I know women put fake spray tan that can lift their looks but what about guys in shorts and who don't have a lot to accessorized

is it just trial and error? is it purchasing a few key pieces and seeing what works? try many different haircuts?

How to navigate feeling excluded?friend?

so long story short, i created this group to make friends. being the host/connector, idk I feel like people would include me in things but I guess that was just unrealistic expectation. I guess people formed their own small group and literally pick and choose people they want to hang out with.

anyways, I heard from a friend in the group that this guy and her are planning a getaway road trip and she wanted to include me. But I don't think I was ever a part of the plan.

maybe she invited me there because she thought it would be weird to hang out with him, idk. But I sure didn't get an invite from that guy.

maybe its to split cost for lodging etc.

maybe she felt obligated to include me because I'm her friend and I started this group

Anyways, I can't help but felt excluded and feel insignificant and that I'm not really making friends whilst everyone else is connected through something I started, which is fine but I can't navigate feeling awful

tell me what to do as a 36 yr old with no career or prospect

i found a similar post here https://www.reddit.com/r/findapath/comments/1g2gh9z/collegeeducated_36yearold_with_no_career_or/

but they had more going for them than me (and only recently got my bachelor by fulfilling one class that was a make it or break it. Literally skin of my teeth because overall gpa was like the minimum 2.0.

since then I've been focusing on my business and building it. it has it peaks but now with tariff and saturation it is very hard and am planning to sell off all inventory (for a loss)

So now what?

I've looked into things that I have some interest in like finance but I don't think I'm made to work in an office and its quite tough to get in without major connections

teaching , nursing I've considered because ideally I want to start working as soon as possible and it provides stability but that wont happen in 2-3 years and ill be 40. On top of that I dont think I can deal with high stress and people pooping and vomitting.

I'm thinking of just going full throttle and doing something digital or making my own business and just really take a chance on myself. maybe a business idea, maybe opening up a ice cream shop. maybe do content, idk

anyone in my situation and can give me hope for a lost soul?

Unable to maintain friendships throughout my entire life, cant help but think im the problem

I'm in my mid30s now, but cant help but blame myself for never maintaining friendships throughout my entire life. I rarely ever get a random text message about hanging out or asking how i'm doing and its sad.

even in my small group friends, people would text eachother to either have a phone call or hang out and I'm left out. Like in our monthly calls I found out that people reach out amongst eachother to catch up.

also people I know seem to still keep in contact with other familar people I use to know even when they moved away because they had that "history" from maybe hanging out together or getting personal with eachother, whereas I didn't.

I wouldn't say i havent made an effort. for eg. this one person I think I gave a lot. invited them to my place, when they moved- gave them gift, even went out of my way to send postcards and never received one back. We still keep in touch because of the group dynamic but really I shouldnt even be in touch with them anymore..

I feel scared that it is too late because time is against me and people have already met their "tribe" and I feel like I'm starting from scratch and can't help but feel some envy that people are able to maintain friends/have a bunch of friends just because they put in "effort" or "initiated / reach out. I'm just not that type of person because I'm not a needy person and I always believe in a two way relationship. maybe secretly I am just unlikeable..

Does being unemployed vs employed keep you aging well?

both have their drawback. unemployed you're stressing about making money but you dont have to deal with everything that a corporate job gives you. but again, having a job mean you dont worry about paying for stuff.

so who has it better?

For anyone who is a teacher/ therapist/nurse?

how demanding is the curriculum? Would you say its worth it?

I am currently self employed and have a ton of free time on my hands and the least stress (minus low unstable income). I want to pivot into a career that is meaningful and something I can tolerate. I cant see myself working a office job. I like to be doing something but I could do without the stress.

I'm in my late 30s, so I dont want to compromise my health. I do want a stable career with perks and a good income to live. I am male if that matters. I do like working with people 1-1 and i love children

I did some research and it seems for nursing an accelerated program is like 2 years with pre req science courses. I havent been in school for >10 years. Does gpa still matter?. do nurses really work long hours and high stress? dont they get 3-4 days of the week off?

for therapist, is it just getting accepted to grad school and then open own practice and as far as money goes its a tough climb?

for teacher, if i want to do children under 10 or secondary school or even a professor (trying to avoid teenagers) , i get the whole summer off? do I get compensated well? Is it stressful?

like what if i havent been in college for over a decade? What if I had poor grades then like 2.0.

what if during all of that time I was just running a small business with no relevant work experience?

do I have to take gre, any specialized credentials? Also what is the estimated cost for school/additional certifications? I want to know my options.

I only have a bachelors.

I posted this a month ago

https://www.reddit.com/r/Leadership/comments/1s7souu/i_started_a_hobby_group_and_im_getting_imposter/

anyways for context, I hosted my first event- it went well. However, I think the group is kind of in limbo because there is no consistency. Like for me to book something It's not always guaranteed.

I'm looking into other alteratives and want to send out a message that we will make it consistent every weekend (for eg) but I don't want it to sound controlling.

Right now People in the group are now asking others if they want to go book something elsewhere sort of impromptu like tomorrow and taking over. I'm fine with that because I don't want everyone depending on me. Is that okay? Or do I still have my place in this group?

I don't want to be controlling or make the group feel like its rigid, but then again I hear the opposite that in order for the group to continue they need some sort of direction and I'm the person to do it. But like how do I send a message? Like I want the tone to be like I'm open to ideas but at same time steer towards a direction where people know what is happening

The chat is all logistic and I would eventually like us to feel free to post more fun chats, memes, do stuff outside like socializing and the likes.

Thoughts?

claudeeee or gpt?

I only used the free version. which one would you advise? I dont mean to just ask them to give me code to copy and paste although that is a plus. I mean learning step by step and then ask follow up question to understand what I'm doing and how I can get better incrementally. opinion?

which is best for my investment as I'll need to pay 50$ per month just to use the basic version
