first off, i have always been interested in philosophy but never actually read any books on it. So, i’d like to change that and get some good book recs plz!
secondly, by politics, i mean more like a book to teach me both sides (liberal vs conservative, etc). i’d like to be wel—educated on both sides of the political spheres, especially in this day and age. ty for any recs!
also im hoping the books aren’t toooo advanced if that makes sense lol
i know the wrist technique, but it’s hard to me for some reason.
also my fingers always slip when bending… i’ve tried putting them over the string, putting them below the string, putting them directly on the string… still slips
also when i bend and try to add vibrato, the note cuts out even though the gain is up and i’m not muting anything

Hi, basically i have an addiction to doomscrolling. And it’s getting bad. And it’s scaring me. It’s messing up daily routines, stopping me from things I have to get done, and habits/passions I love. It seems like all I can do is scroll. So, I’m making the executive decision to break it, bec I cannot keep living like this… Anyways, I’ve heard meditation helped some other ppl with breaking a doomscrolling addiction. So I want to try it. But I have no idea where to start and some advice from ppl who actually know this stuff would be great. Should I start w 30 minutes or smth? Ty for any advice!

hey, basically what the title says. I’m an absolute beginner and I have no idea where to start. I’m actually a guitarist first and foremost, and I’d say I’m intermediate level there. But I thought, “why not add drums to complement the guitar?!” basically, I’m not trying to master the drums or anything. I just wanna become an intermediate drummer, since guitar is my main instrument. Plus, it‘d be fun to be able to write my own drum tracks and play guitar over them + show them to my actual future drummer.
Anyways, sorry for the yapping, but where should I start? I’m just drumming on pillows right now bec I don’t have a kit. Is your shin supposed to hurt when keeping your heel down and lifting your toes for the bass drum (or in my case, the floor)? Any tips are greatly appreciated!! Thx
