Is clear lake really worth it?

I have seen that Clear Lake is the “bass fishing capital of the country” and noticed I live 3 hours away. I fish for mainly crappie, big bluegill, and small bass. But I also prefer fishing smaller lakes, rivers, and ponds, and clear lake is massive and seems like a boat is your best choice there. Sadly I live in the Bay Area and the bass fishing sucks here, so a nice break from 2 dinks a day to get some real action would be nice. If it won’t fit my criteria is there anywhere else I should look or any YouTube channels I should look out for?

Thank you!

How can I lift the front wheel up on a DJ after getting used to an enduro bike?

I got a dirt jumper today and I realized that I suck riding it, I can barely lift the front wheel up because of the suspension and I feel like I can barely get any airtime, is this just a practice thing or am I doing something wrong, and how would I fix it? I used to compress myself but also the suspension would get compressed so I would have more energy to take off. Any tips?

Pivot point for 5’5 person?

A Mikes bikes near me has a pivot point on sale for 1,100, but the pivot size chart says 5’7 is the minimum , I normally ride medium size full suspensions so I am used to a bike being a little big and I usually do stuff like small stem and short cranks. Should I buy?

Rod suggestions that are 6’0 - 6’6 and can cast 1/64 oz jigheads?

Snapped my ugly stik gx2, so I have been needing a new rod to pair with my shimano sienna size 1000, max I wanna spend is 130 and ideally 100 bucks, I have heard great things about the Diawa Presso, TFO Trout Panfish 2, and B&N TCB. I will be fishing the Trout Magnet a lot but also like fishing inline spinners and small crankbaits and jerkbaits a little more. I am planning to pair the rod with 2 pound test mono. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: I want 2 peice, forgot to mention that originally

Thank you!

Car turns fine stationary but when it starts to move it barely turns?

I tried the basics like re calibration, steering angle at 900 for both ends, and Moza pit house check, and I still can’t get it, any help?

Edit: Speed sensitivity was really high! Have no idea why but thank you to the people who suggested that

Do all trail builders who build unsanctioned trails want them to be secret?

I understand why trail builders keep their trails secret (ah em, surrons and government) but I also know that trail systems like UCSC and Pacifica are quite popular and yet, unsanctioned. Did they just get too popular and no point in trying to hide them? Or do some trail builders not mind the trails leaking out and let people ride them? Because I see all the time UCSC and Pacifica mentioned and even though they are unsanctioned, they aren’t hidden and even trail builders tell me where the trails are (I’m not a fed, I swear)

So why are unsanctioned trails so known, and are the trail builders okay with that?

Should I get a Habu STS after flying a Turbo Timber 1.5M

I have been flying my Timber for around 2-3 months and some flight sim practice, and I want to get my first jet, I have heard the Habu is a good entry into the EDF world and I was wondering if I could fly it if I can fly a timber, I practiced with the Habu many times in Realflight and it seems like the same skill level but I was wondering if anyone had any real world experience with it or if anyone flew both planes and knows if the Habu is even easier? (I know some people say it’s a trainer aircraft but I heavily disagree)

Help is appreciated, thank you!

Is Mule fishing worth it over name brand lures?

I want to do a tackle box restock because I’m running low on soft plastics, and I have heard the name “mule fishing” thrown around a lot on this sub and I was wondering if their higher price tags are worth it?

I normally fish stuff like the bobby garland shads and strike king slabalicious which are around 4 bucks, but 6 bucks + shipping for the mule stuff seems steep. Any idea if they are better than the stuff I normally fish? (slabilicious, baby garland shads, 6th sense clobber minnow with Zman flashback mini)

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

Edit: Blew 80 bucks on lures, jig heads, and his tackle box! Thank you to everyone helping me!

Should I get a small or medium frame? I’m 5’4 but still growing

I’m a teenager, and 5’4, and my parents are so damn generous they are getting me an ibis Ripley AF for my birthday (thank you parents, so grateful) but I may start a growth spurt soon, and I am not sure whether to get a size too big or get one just right, but it may not last as long. My dad is 5’10 and I am expected to grow taller, I like a bike a little bigger but I usually countered that with a longer stem and cranks. What would you do? I am coming from a small frame right now with a 50mm stem and 175mm cranks and I think it fits me perfectly, thoughts?

thank you for help!

Are Panther Martins worth it over Rooster Tails? (1/16 RT vs 1/8 PM) for streams and creeks?

I fish for small bass, bluegill, and trout in slow to medium speed streams, and I have been using rooster tails for a bit but I have noticed they don’t sell gold bladed ones in my local bass pro. But Panther Martins are 5 bucks! Seems quite much, are they worth the extra money over a rooster tail? The streams I fish also are quite rocky so I snag about 1 every trip or 2 trips (ouch) and I have found a slower, steadier retrieve works best.

Any thoughts? Help is appreciated!

Edit: Prices are: 3.50 for RT and 5.50 for PM

Does any brand make a mask like this that is Z87 rated?

I was going to buy the 6mmproshop pilot mask but seeing it’s only z80.3, I hoped that there is an alternative option?

Is there such a thing of a GBBR that is good for around 350-400

I know just how expensive GBBRs can be, but I really want to know if I can get just the gun and maybe a mag for 400 max or I need to save or just get something else. I don't want to get something cheap, and I want a DD Mk18 replica and I see some for around 400 but are those built like crap? I’ve only used GBB pistols and AEGs so I have very minimal experience with these, SMG’s and AR pistols are also a consideration if those are any cheaper

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

PS: I will not play airsoft, this is for shooting only!

I may want to get this and swap out the air shaft to 140mm, I will be doing medium trail riding (stuff like flow, braille, sweetness in ucsc, or enchantment) and some very light jumps. I was wondering if the frame would be capable of doing that, and if going 140mm is a good idea, this looks like a killer deal in my opinion. But I am okay with other options, looking to downgrade from my 160mm enduro bike because I feel overbiked. And I want to have a good climber to ride with my neighbor.

owner is listing for 1100! And I believe it is the SX which I am not a fan of, but the ohlins 34 fork is the m.2 gen!

u/Away_Professional793 — 4 months ago

I think my enduro full suspension is boring and I am overbiked, so I want something a little more fun. I ride mostly in Santa Cruz so those kind of trails (small to medium jumps, flow, chunk, singletrack) I want it to climb well but not full xc or downcountry. I want a complete bike, no custom builds please!

Some bikes I am considering are an RSD Middlechild, Santa Cruz Chameleon, Cannondale Habit HT, Commencal Meta HT, Trek Roscoe, and a San Quinten 3

Any help is appreciated, I am open to buying used as well but local (100 miles) near Los Gatos
