If a movie is on and we're both watching it, launching into your favorite talking points during the movie is pointless! I don't care, and I'm trying to listen to what's being said. I have a buddy who will see something happen in a movie that's on and immediately it's "that reminds me of blah blah blah" like dude, shut up already.

Bonus peeve points if they contradict you with stuff they obviously made up in their head.

I see so many things where people say something like "these thing's" or whatever and it hurts my head to see that. If it is a pluralism, it doesn't get an apostrophe! Only possessives get them. If we're talking about something that belongs to "Albert," then they are "Albert's" possessions. If we are talking about several guys named "Albert," then are, collectively, "Alberts."
