If you can't figure out the difference between "you're" and "your," you deserve to be told the difference.

People love to go "leave them alone! Some people aren't grammar nazis like you!" If I say that, in my opinion, you're dumb for not getting it sorted out, it comes from me *learning* the difference *IN 2ND GRADE!* I know everyone wants to think of themselves as mommy's little smart kid, and you think I'm attacking you for pointing it out, but if I was able to figure it out, doesn't that make me better than you?

PSA: "Your" is a possessive: (your hat, your coat, your car, etc)

"You're" is a contraction of "you are" (you're going to the store, you're not smart at all, you're going to drive me crazy.)

Get it?

People need to stop sending me reels

I don't watch them, and when asked about them by the people who sent them I don't have an answer, which seems to upset them. Is this how communication works these days? "Here's a bunch of moronic videos I collected from the internet, make sure you watch til the end!" Foh already.

People who were in the military looooove to talk about it

We get it: you had to deal with the inconvenience of being in the armed forces. You have a rare conversational advantage in that it's hard to find a nice way to shut you up. You don't need to tell us every time how a situation reminds of the military. It's as boring to us as it was for you.

Just a helpful hint here, guys: tell us what it's supposed to say.

It would be very helpful vis-a-vis giving crits. If I'm critiquing a C that's actually a G, that's kind of a problem for both of us.

Found a new spot to catch rollers, it's a little far from the tracks but nothing some editing can't fix.

Stop making your tag your online handle

I see so many posts where ppl say "dm me at [whatever tag] @Instagram" or whatever and it's dumb. First of all, if you decide to change your tag for whatever reason, you look like an idiot being "jam" and having an IG that says "kaze" or whatever, and secondly, if you get popped, they will check your online accounts.

Quit interrupting me like you're my predictive text

"I love that movie. There's a really funny part-" "Oh, the part with the shark!" "No, it's the part-" "the part with the car!" Stop trying to be psychic and just shut up already!

I can't STAND these captions that actually show "um, uhh," etc

If you're going to have shitty captions that get stuff wrong anyway, please, for the love of God, don't have them show "uhhh, um.." and such! It really looks so stupid that I have to change the video immediately.

Why can't people figure out how question marks are used?

I see it all over reddit, and it's upsetting to see, especially since I know everyone here considers themselves to be really smart. If you're so goddamn smart, how can you not understand this? Here's a helpful hint: if you're asking a question, the end of the sentence has a *question mark." If you're making a statement (ie, not a question,) *then* you put a period at the end. I'll get a million downvotes and snarky comments about this, but I don't care.

Reddit bans

If you get banned for a time from reddit, you get this message about the thing that got you banned, except it's already been removed, so it's not like you can know exactly what it was. It's really frustrating, because there are times I *know* that whatever I said was wildly misconstrued. Edit: it seems I am not alone in feeling this way; RIP my inbox

Back from the dead

3-day ban over, I guess. Boy, do I hate this place, if there were a better place to share flicks I'd go there but I hate IG even more.
