I have good news, men. I have spoken with the other nations, and they have agreed to let the soldiers of this subreddit represent themselves with their respective User Flair. Now I can't force anyone here to stay, but just know that if you decide to defect, you may officially be declared an enemy of the Green Nation. Issue:
So my issue specifically relates to the steam deck dock. The audio seem to work fine when in handheld mode, but when using the steam dock to connect it to my TV the audio would cut in and out. Usually voice lines would be fine, but whenever there was a pause then the music would cut out. If I was just playing the game normally then all of the audio would cut out then cut back in randomly and frequently. I nearly crashed out hard trying to figure out a solution. I tried everything I read online like going to properties and forcing a proton compatibility, trying to run a launch script, opening a web browser and playing a video in the background then muting it and switching to the game (the idea there being hopefully the audio would route itself), etc.
Solution: What I ended up having to do was:
From here I would start tinkering around with the sound settings including, raising the volume, switching between audio outputs, etc.
I don't know what exactly I did, but after doing that with the audio settings it fixed itself. The audio now plays correctly in docked mode on the TV even after restarting the system and relaunching the game. This was a nightmare and 90 minutes of my total play time were spent on this issue. Had I spent another 30 minutes still trying to figure it out I wouldn't have been able to even refund this game.

So kind of the inverse of what I've been doing, I put a customized version of Krystal's Assault outfit over her Adventures model. Unlike Assault, Adventures does not support Zero Alpha, meaning I was unable to remove any elements, such as the cloth or arm guards. But I think it still looks cool. At least at a distance because up close her fur is still very visible, and her outfit is not supposed to be furry.

See the multiplayer version on the left and the singleplayer version on the right. It turns out that ALL of the characters have differences in their story mode versions. Fox is the most obvious having a mix of red and green. Peppy's jacket is the classic off-white and his reds are a different shade. Wolf has more blue and it's a different shade. The rest are a bit harder to see unless side-by-side. Falco's reds are highly saturated and his boots are fully grey. Slippy has some more yellow in his suit and his hat stays red. Krystal seems to be unchanged except for her blue being slightly altered.

This one is a deep cut. On screens in the Corneria map in Star Fox Assault there is a female news reporter. Her model is a reddish edit of Krystal, so fans have dubbed her "Ruby". Considering retextures are what I do I thought this would be a fun one. And considering I already did clothes like a coat before it would be easy! It was not. 💀 Her actual model is not in the game, and therefore also not her textures, so I had to make it all manually. Plus her two images have the scanlines built-in it seems, meaning I couldn't take any shortcuts.
In case anyone is wondering what those news broadcasts say:
"Corneria has been invaded by Aparoids and is suffering heavy damage."
"Aparoids have the ability to attach themselves to both organic and inorganic materials and infect that material. Please be careful."

I know the Remake JUST came out, but I think the question that was on everyone's mind was, "What is the next Star Fox game going to be?" I was speculating beforehand on what made sense to release on short notice to tie into Fox McCloud's appearance in the Super Mario Galaxy movie.
Instead we got a Remake, which makes sense now considering the at the time rumored Ocarina of Time Remake, and still rumored Super Metroid Remake, Remakes of the best titles in their respective franchises. The only issue with Star Fox is that it's gotten multiple remakes... of the same game.
But now what? Should there be more remakes? A brand new sequel?
So I think a sequel to the remake would make the most sense, and I'd much rather that than another remake, but if any game got a remake I'd want Assault.
But what are your thoughts?

This is likely my final retexture for Star Fox Assault. (At least for a long time considering how long it took me to get around to making this one.) With the missing members of Star Wolf, plus Katt Monroe, Bill Grey is now the last new character I was able to add over an existing character, this time over Peppy. I think it came out pretty good. Since until the Switch 2 Remake we haven't gotten a full body view of Bill, only torso up in Command, I took some creative liberties with his design, which has been inconsistent across the series. Mostly it's just a recolored Peppy (outfit), but that's fine by me, I think it looks good.
My friend just released his mod using some of my Retextures, and someone else asked if I could rerelease his mod(s) alongside mine, so maybe tonight or tomorrow I'll post a download link to everything!

Star Fox, eh? Work 'em over!
I debated for quite a while whether or not this one would be worth it to make. I thought that Falco's shape would work the best if anything because of the shoulder pads, but his head doesn't match up with Oikonny's texture. Peppy was a decent idea, but he looked ridiculous because he was a really fat Andrew. XD So I tried out Wolf because he also had the shoulder pads and it was looking decent. Then I found a way to remove the shoulders and eyepatch and I think it looks better and more distinct for it.
