[ECHL] The Florida Everblades defeat the South Carolina Stingrays in five games to advance to their fourth Eastern Conference Finals in five years
Florida is headed back to the East finals for the fourth time in five seasons. They went out in the second round East finals last year after three-peating the Kelly Cup from 2022 to 2024. Said threepeat was the first in North American major or high-level minor-league hockey since the Islanders’ four-peat.
This team is genuinely inevitable.
Edit: I’m an idiot, this is their fifth straight.
In a full-circle moment of sorts, game 3 marked Dylan Coghlan's first career NHL playoff game
Despite spending time with three powerhouse orgs in Vegas, Carolina, and Winnipeg, Cogs had never played an NHL playoff game before tonight. His one full(-ish) NHL season, with 59 games played, was with us in 2021-22, otherwise known as the one year we missed the dance entirely. Remarkably, it also marked his first playoff game of any kind since the 2019 Calder Cup playoffs with our then-AHL affiliate Chicago.
Good for Cogs!
Edit: I’m a dumbass, he played for HSK in the playoffs this year lol
