▲ 15 r/Oscars

Our 2026 acting quartet ranked on how I think is their likelihood of scoring another nomination/win.

  1. Buckley. This really isn’t a contest. Well before her Oscar win, Jessie Buckley has been consistently been giving critically acclaimed performances. With her new win for Hamnet, I expect her to continue in spades, and I wouldn’t be shocked if she ends up holding another Oscar sometime in the future.

  2. Penn. Honestly, the others are kind of in a three-way tie because looking at their current career trajectories, I don’t see any of them getting nominated again any time soon. I would say Penn just has the edge because he has three Oscars now, so I won’t be surprised if he gets another nomination/win that he won’t show up for. But his recent filmography is pretty sparse.

  3. Jordan. The guy’s a modern film star, and while I’d love to say he’s likely gonna get more “Oscar buzzy” roles in the future following his win…I’m not that confident. I don’t think he NEEDS Ryan Coogler to get him a second nomination since he has the acting chops to get one without him, but I also don’t think he is likely going to get one without him either since Coogler does bring out the best in him. Though I would love to be proven wrong, of course.

  4. Madigan. Oldest nominee, not exactly a household name, will definitely see a career boost with the win but I don’t see her getting another Oscar any time soon. But like Jordan, I’d love to be proven wrong.

VTUBER RETIRES DUE TO HARASSMENT FROM HER OWN MOTHER Wakarase Choro, a Japanese vtuber, left the agency Sinsogumi after confessing that she suffered severe psychological damage.

Her controlling mother monitored all her streams, sent her anonymous hate messages, and even sent people to investigate where she lived in order to ruin her independence.

My respects to her for prioritizing her mental health and getting out of there.

Ana de Armas (as Paloma) in No Time to Die (What a shame she doesn't appear again afterward). In just a few minutes, she establishes herself as one of the most memorable James Bond girls in the series’ history.

Jesse Plemons (as Militiaman) is truly exceptional at conveying danger beneath an air of normality. In an instant, he creates an atmosphere of intense tension. Civil War is a very good example of that.

In Wings, the first feature-length film ever to win the Academy Award for Best Picture, Gary Cooper (as Cadet White), through his mere presence in a single scene, makes it hardly surprising that he would go on to become one of the greatest male stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age.
