i have a question about outlanders

idk how to word this since English is my second language but since I'm seeing that there's apparently "character you unlock" or whatever, does that mean that instead of being able to customize whatever weapon or armor for your own character just like literally every single monster hunter game, they're instead gonna make you choose certain characters with certain sets? or are they more like skins and you can still customize your equipment?

does anyone know how i can get rid of these stupid white borders and rounded corners?

when i first got this phone in February last year all the original icons looked cool and clean but when i did the software update after that all the icons got this stupid looking white borders, i miss the old icons so much.

when i first got this phone back in February last year the icons looked so cool and clean but after the software updates it turns out like this....i tried the XOS icons up but that didn't help much, i wanted the original clean look, no white borders or rounded corners but I can't figure out how to get it back.
