Question about J2 while on garden leave J1

Long time lurker but finally something is happening which I need expert guidance.

I have a J1 which I was a full time employee and laid me off few weeks back but still on the garden leave for next 3 weeks say June 12 but I got an offer (contract role) which they want me to start latest by May 29.

I told them my situation that I cannot be on payroll until June 12 else I will lose the severance so they are okay to let me start the onboarding process where my start date will still be May 29 but they told me to put 0 hours till June 12 and after June 13 onwards I can bill them 80 hours for unfilled 2 weeks.

Now my question is that still a breach of my current employer contract as I’m not billing till June 12.

Data point and cannot get better than this 14X paze plus $300 travel credit

I can confirm that I got 14X points by directly booking United flights through paze. (Not in Chase portal but directly with United). And deal could not get better as also received $300 travel credit which is the best part of CSR where I don’t have stick to their portal but any kind of travel expense count towards it.

People may have question about another United where I didn’t get 14X is because I had some travel credits so had to use it with United and unfortunately United doesn’t allow combining travel credits and paze - so had to split my booking. But it worked out very well.

Edit: I spoke too early - math is not adding up for 14X - I may have to wait till the points come out of pending to update the real calculation. I got excited just by seeing 14X also charge is not right - looking back at the tickets it seems I paid around $2119 for it so something is fishy. Will knee it posted.

So technically I should be getting 15000 (paze has cap of $1500) + 8478 (2119.5X4)

So it appears to be issue with calculation as I am over their capped 15000 amount- that amount itself is missing

Is there a glitch in how points acquired towards $50 bilt cash is calculated?

So I have around 81K points - out of which 50K is from SUB and around 6500 from Rakuten.

Now why am I still seeing around 7800 points more I need for $50 cash? Ideally it should have been only around 500 ish points as 81k-50k-6500 (Rakuten) = 24,500, so only 500 left to hit 25K.

So all these accelerators extra 1X or dining 5X don’t count towards their calculation?

I don’t have time to count one by one but based on my monthly spend which is around $5500 excluding $5800 mortgage seems like I must have acquired accelerator - around 5500 and then random dining bonuses around 1500-2000 which is close to that number of missing points around 7000 ish

Question about Amex gold closure - what happens to points?

* Business gold - cannot edit title anymore

So I have annual fee posted and statement got down Today - and now I have 30 days to close this gold as now I want to move to personal gold (unfortunately I won’t get sub because I already have personal plat). Now question about charges - as I will continue using my card for say next 25 days and then I close it (my statement date won’t hit) but what will happen to the points for the charges for next 25 days? Will I get 1 points per spend or will I get regular 4 X on top 2 categories as usual. Reason I’m asking because people who use business gold know that 4X you get only after statement gets closed. Anyone here closed their business gold and I will appreciate their data points on what happens to the points.

Additionally any pointers to get gold personal sub even having plat - a person can always be hopeful 😊

Question about Rakuten BOA credit card offer. Why is it showing $0

As Rakuten is offering $300 on BOA’s travel credit card. Why is it showing $0. Is it the same for everyone? I just applied last night.
