Will I regret declining the offer? In the payments team, I have another offer- another offer is not as good (in terms of money) but it has much better WLB. Will I regret loosing almost $50K on the table?

Specially with 5 days a week in JPMC vs 3 days a week in other place (non banking). JPMC may have better tech but well it comes with a price.

What would you do?

Is it really that bad in JPMC like is it really too toxic and PIP culture?

Hey guys, life happened and I got laid off from my current job but thankfully got another opportunity with PNC (Tech) but the problem is commuting to Pittsburgh. Is anyone in my situation who was able to make it work?

Or for PNC folks - how difficult is to work with your bosses to convince them to allow them to work from NYC/NJ office if they have any.

If I were to travel then what is the best arrangement? I’m thinking of doing may be 3 days a week Tuesday- Thursday. That means I have to stay somewhere in Pittsburg for those days. I can think of hotel but open for other options if you know about them.

For traveling - flight is the most reasonable option.

Anybody in my situation or have any insight?

Reason I cannot move is because my family is in NJ and wife and kids may not be able to move for atleast till early-mid next year.

I thought I did fine in LPs but did bad on technical half - technical stuff was not DSA but work related where I had to code. There I would rate myself as 5/10 as I missed some syntax’s.

It’s been 2 weeks, I didn’t get the response from anyone. Last week I had emailed HR but never got any response.

Now my question is that now I see there is another opening in ring and twitch. Should I apply or am I in cool off period. How to know? And how long is it he cooling period for failing this interview?

Mind you that I never applied on Amazon job website for Zappos’s so I technically don’t have Amazon job portal application status.

First round happened on Friday 6/12 - it was the first round with hiring manager after recruiter call. No OA was there.

Should I send an email now or wait for few more days?

Now questions is that if it’s DSA round or more of LP and project round?

I’m curious as it’s 60 mins but also it says that engineering manager.

Anyone here went with this phase? What was the EM round like? Specially being the first round after recruiter call.

Long time lurker but finally something is happening which I need expert guidance.

I have a J1 which I was a full time employee and laid me off few weeks back but still on the garden leave for next 3 weeks say June 12 but I got an offer (contract role) which they want me to start latest by May 29.

I told them my situation that I cannot be on payroll until June 12 else I will lose the severance so they are okay to let me start the onboarding process where my start date will still be May 29 but they told me to put 0 hours till June 12 and after June 13 onwards I can bill them 80 hours for unfilled 2 weeks.

Now my question is that still a breach of my current employer contract as I’m not billing till June 12.

So I have annual fee posted and statement got down Today - and now I have 30 days to close this gold as now I want to move to personal gold (unfortunately I won’t get sub because I already have personal plat). Now question about charges - as I will continue using my card for say next 25 days and then I close it (my statement date won’t hit) but what will happen to the points for the charges for next 25 days? Will I get 1 points per spend or will I get regular 4 X on top 2 categories as usual. Reason I’m asking because people who use business gold know that 4X you get only after statement gets closed. Anyone here closed their business gold and I will appreciate their data points on what happens to the points.

Additionally any pointers to get gold personal sub even having plat - a person can always be hopeful 😊
