Other people framed it well- the final performance showed two paths, the RnB route with two good singers (we ride), or fast beat slop lyric music (PB4P). They didn't choose the vocalist who can make the group RnB, so they will probably focus on making fast paced dancing songs because they aren't capable of performing RnB live. Prepare for more Pinky Ups, Internet Girls, and a flopped group. Katseye is getting carried by controversy, but these girls don't even have enough personality to be controversial, they have to actively work to call eachother sloths, like weird videos, and exaggerating the lack of education of a member to stay relevant. The dumbass fans who get off on defending a group because people on "hating a minor" are playing into these companies hands.

Everyone was incredibly disappointed at the outcomes of this show, at every round. Although there shouldn't be hate to the member that was chosen, it's obvious the people with talent, experience, and fanbase are not the ones chosen. "Hybe has always chosen the better looking younger girls though" then why make it a SURIVIVAL SHOW? It's rigged at every turn, it always has been. Whats worse is that they selectively give "feedback" on what these people can improve, and criticism aka excuses to eliminate very talented people. I mean saying that Sara in round one or Jayla in round two wasn't a good enough singer to their face was just a bald faced lie when you see the vocals of who won. I think these judges marking themselves as authority figures and just believing the audience should take their opinions as fact, when we have eyes and we can see who is a better contestant is insulting to our intelligence as fans, and to the other contestants most of all. Marking them as number one performers and then eliminating them for shock value is actually a joke. Jayla, Ayana, Honoka, Aoi, Sara, all have to leave thinking there's something that they have to improve is just wrong. The judges criticisms are not all skill based once you are in the show, it's purely about image. Son has to act like Ayana's performance was worse than Sakuras when the whole world can see it was better. These judges and coaches are just forced to lie about certain people's improvement when the company decides who is chosen. If they could make a promo TV show in a way that isn't emphasizing skill as the deciding factor, it would be much more honest. Making a documentary about Sakura on her growth as an idol, purely based on her own journey would have had her more fans than comparing her to older, more trained idols in a competition she would never really win. It just created a massive hate train for a 16 year old child, which she doesn't deserve either. In some ways, I want SS (horrible initials for name) to not succeed so they are forced to change their ways. But I want to support the girls at the same time. The best way to show disapproval isn't spewing hate on idols pages, I didn't want sakura to win but adults commenting on a minors instagram is just sad. Instead, not engaging with their content is the best way to show your disapproval, because no engagement is better than hate. They love controversy because at least they get views that way. I thought the music was going to be good because the demos were amazing but they ruin it with their kids bop vibes. The same would have worked with katseye, but instead of not engaging y'all commented hate about gnarly and internet girl and they kept making the same crap because it got hater engagement. So even if you are gonna be a neutral fan, don't listen to something that doesn't genuinely sound good to you as blind support because it'll keep happening.

Singer + Dancer+ Maknae+ Visual+ All rounder if needed. If someone doesn't fit this, they aren't getting into the group.

Ayana didn't fit one of these because there's only 4 members and all the spots are taken except for maknae.

Also since this is the snark page... I never thought they would pick Jayla nor Ayana because they only pick the skinniest looking girls. I think they are the most beautiful personally, but compared to the other members and all the people they pick for their groups, visually, neither of those girls were making it compared to sakura who is 16. Katseye members like Megan posting on their pintrests about basically having EDs just confirms what kind of environment Hybe promotes for young women. Literally only because of this, I thought only Hiori, Aoi or Rinka would have a serious chance at fitting their image, but when it came down to Ayana and sakura well. Also this is why I knew both of the other Honokas (whose singing and star quality IMO puts sakura to shame) were never making it either, their face cards are not as standard pop star as sakura is. "star quality" another cover for marketable beauty and stage presence which sakura barely does have.

Plus my theory when they picked her as the second person out of their performance and she had that little smirk on her face really made me suspicious they scouted her from the start and she knew she had a very good chance of winning. This whole show was just a sakura promo, look she can't afford a mirror so THATS why she sucks at dancing! Like you can't get a freaking 20 dollar mirror I'm sorry but I don't buy that. And every time I hear her singing "turn it up turn it up" it's so cringe. Like the group A performance compared to her is diamonds to coal. I always thought the shows were rigged but this one was extra rigged. And I hate hybes racist and toxic beauty standards and the fact that they exploit minors and manipulate them into working crazy hours, and BEGGING to work those crazy hours because they don't know better. Anyways since they needed a minor to exploit, it was sakura.
