How many barbershops and gyms do you have in your neighborhood?

I’m from Northeast Brazil, and at least where I live, it honestly feels like urban life has quietly standardized itself around gyms, barbershops and burger joints. There is a gym next to a barbershop, a burger joint next to a gym, and occasionally a fourth one appearing just to confirm it wasn’t your imagination.

What stands out is how consistent the pricing logic becomes. Gyms usually compete on low monthly fees to lock you in. Barbershops steadily move upmarket, turning basic cuts into “experiences.” Burger joints follow the same path, starting cheap and gradually reinventing themselves as “gourmet” versions of the exact same thing, just with a better name and higher price.

The Winged Hussars

The Winged Hussars (also known as the Polish Hussars) were a type of shock cavalry used by the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Winged Hussars were formed during the 16th century and remained in use until the 18th century, when they became obsolete due to advances in military technology. They participated in many battles, and their prowess on the battlefield cemented their reputation as formidable warriors. They are especially remembered for their decisive charges during battles such as the Battle of Vienna in 1683, where they played a crucial role in lifting the Ottoman siege of the city.

In Mortal Kombat II (2026), Kitana is played by an extremely attractive actress so the audience stays distracted enough to not question the plot, dialogue, or literally anything happening on screen. It seems like it worked on me
