Altercation at park

This is a long and convoluted thing, so if you read the whole thing, thank you. I am going to try and explain this as straight forward as possible and without bias.

So, I(26f) was at the park with the 3 year old I nanny (B) and my wife, (36mtf). We had a great time, but all of a sudden we saw an individual peeing at the edge of the playground. They were very tall and we were a bit far away (also, I have some vision issues) and could tell more than they were tall, and they were peeing right in the open. I grabbed b and turned her around, another guardian did the same. They went for a good long time, and b was getting wiggly but I just held her there. I noticed the kid peeing had gotten out of a car with a guy sitting in it.

The other family loudly said, ew how perverted when I told them what was happening cause they didn't realize at first. I said, yeah that's pretty gross.

It put us off, so we went to leave, and the other family did too. As I walked up to my wife in the car, I said, "that guy just whipped it out and pissed right by the playground--pervert." I buckled b in, and then realized there was also a woman and a small child in the car that the peeing individual walked back to. They were like 2 parking spot away.

Once I finished setting b up with a snack, the man walked up. He said "you should be careful about who you call perverted!" And i said "what?" Then the woman approached and said "that's my kid! He has autism! Dont talk to my kid like that!

Background, I am a special education teacher, for kids with very high support needs autism.

Anyway, I didn't bring that up, but I said, "well in that case, you shouldn't let your kid piss on the playgr8und when there are bathrooms 20 feet away."

She said, "I was with my other kid, who also has autism. I cant control what my kid does! I didn't know he was doing it!"

I said "You are the grown up. If you were busy with the other kid, this guy was just sitting there. He could have helped"

At this point I walk around my car and start getting in. My wife is yelling at them, and says, "you know someone could have called the cops, and it is a felony to expose yourself."

Very VERY important information *** we are white, except b. This was a black family.

I said, "we will not call the cops." When my wife said that. At this point, the gentle man had been yelling back and forth with my wife, calling her a man. It was really just them going back and forth about minding business.

"I said, at the end of the day, my three year old could have seen your son's dick, and that isnt appropriate at a park."

Mom said "she can see it anywhere, YouTube, school, the street, who cares?" I just started getting in my car. The man approached and said "call the cops! Not all black people are scared of the police!" He was in my window so I started shutting it. The woman said "if my arm wasn't busted, I would fuck you up." So I just finished getting in the car and left as we did they called us gay.

My conflict is--

Should I post on the local Facebook page, with no details, just the following.

"Hello. At ---park today I had a confrontation with a woman and a man over their child's behavior and how it affected mine. I would like to apologize for the distress my or my wife' handling of this situation might have caused. If you could privately message me, I would like to discuss the situation with clear heads, and offer reconciliation and apology."

The reason I want to do this is because I am very aware of the racial power imbalance, and weaponization of police that came into this. Additionally, parenting a child with autism is hard, and I dont want them to feel shame or like they should not bring their autistic teen out in public.

Would this post be stupid, or potentially white savior-y?

I feel all of us adults could have handled it better. Myself, my wife, and them.

Middle ground

Hello!

We are now the proud downstairs neighbors of a family of 4 small children and 2 dogs! I am a teacher, as is my housemate. We have pets of our own, and totally understand tiny humans being tiny humans.

However, the stomping is to the point it rattles our wall hangings, and makes our hanging lights shake. It wakes up my rock of a sleeping wife. Like, she sleeps so damn heavy.

How can we be good neighbors and let them live their life, while preserving our sanity. It went until 10 last night, and started at 7 this AM. They have pretty young kids, infant, toddler, children, aged kiddos.

Advice is welcome, particularly that prioritizes kindness to them, and doesn't come off rude.

Did anyone else get mail about a lawsuit for Ortho ny and getting money? Is it real? I looked it up and found some things but not a lot of reporting.
