HELP !

[Update] My strap really was the problem😅

Hello everyone!

I wanted to first thank everyone who shared their opinion yesterday on what they would do in my situation.

Verdict: change the strap and see.

Well, I did put back the original rubber the watch came with. And it really REALLY saves it for me.

I think I might even go surfing with it 🥳

It really fits the summer vibes for me 😎

Also, do you think a Tropic rubber strap would be better? I think I might just use that one until it dies haha

Thank you everyone!🤗 That's one watched saved and one more watch I am happy to wear (it was the only one I wasn't happy with)

[M31] So happy!

Just came here to share my little experience of progress :D
I unfortunately jumped from like 3 days of 1 hour of lessons on a 8" longboard to buying a 6,2" shortboard (foam, 44L). Shown on the picture.

Because I did plenty of snowboarding and skateboarding I had no real issue standing up and turning slightly on that 8" cargo ship^^

So.. that's what I told the seller. Unfortunately the guy completely overestimated my abilities and slowly made me buy that board (not more expensive though, he really thought it would be the right one for me I truly think).

So I spent the last 5-6 sessions completely struggling.
First, struggling to just take waves.
Then when I managed to take waves, struggled to take-off.
And now here I AM! Doing take offs more often that not but not regularly enough.

I'm so happy, I really think I can progress enough before the end of summer to be able to use that board at least decently :D

Thank you for reading :)

Athletic and shredded men should wear small watches.

If you workout, exercise, have mouscless and you take care of your body.

Treat yourself, get some vintage 37mm and below watches. It's even better looking than big/normal watches (39mm+)

You'll be instantly class and the contrast with your body is absolutely amazing.

You even go down to 31mm.

Oris Big crown pointer date 32mm!

What's your opinion on small watches?

Is this TOO small?

u/Biche_XXX — 15 days ago

32mm is small yes, but I feel so classy

Hello Everyone,

I fell in love with vintage Oris Pointer Date probably 3 months ago.
The details on the dials just aren't available on the recent versions.
I wasn't sure if 32mm was going to be too small for me, but in the end, I just love it.

Yes, it is small, discrete. It gives a subtle and distinguished vibe that I absolutely adore.
The lug width is 16mm, so wearing on leather makes it even classier. I feel like Muhammad Ali and his little Cartier hahaha

Also I exercise pretty often and I gotta say the contrast of the small watch and a muscular body is pretty stylish (for me at least, and that's what matters).

You can also see how the watch looks on my wrist.
Pretty small yes, only 40mm lug to lug.
BUT, fits really well. Absolutely marvelous.

Also, How do you like the dark blue lizard bracelet? :)

Why don't Oris make white waffle dials anymore?

I am looking to buy an Oris Pointer Date.

But all the brand new models look legit ass (sorry) and have absolutely no soul whatsoever.

Do you know why Oris stopped making waffled and detailed dials like these?

The details are insane in comparison of the boring and plain dials they are making nowadays.

Do you think they will do it again?

And also, why did they stop making Stainless/Bronze two tones?

Thank you for the infos 🤗

Fresh out of the watchmaker!

Finally got this baby from the watchmaker!

I missed her!

Do you like it?

What are you guys rocking today?😉

Too classy for a daily?

60+ years old automatic Rado.

36,5mm.

Absolutely love it.

I wear it daily, even with Levi's tee shirts and straight cut pants.

Do you think it is too classy for a daily?😊

I don't think it stands out when wearing casual clothes. But I'd love your opinion!

[Rado Golden Horse] Crimson and Gold

Probably the most beautiful watch I own.

Rado Golden Horse from the 60s.

36,5mm of diameter.

Slick and thin. Doesn't scream for attention but yet can't get my eyes out of it.

Between classy and casual.

A very good daily for me.

As summer is coming and skin gets tanned, gold is even better.

I'd love to read your opinions about it!

Ps: I don't even like modern Rado watches.. I just like their old models haha

u/Biche_XXX — 2 months ago

Hello everyone!

Wanted to get that Rado serviced because I hasn't been serviced since decades. However I have questions regarding the price.

350€ for:

Entire service and cleaning (also changing gaskets etc)

Changing crystal for similar without cyclop.

Is it too much? The watch is almost 70 years old.

What do you guys think of this and of my preferences?

I think this is it. This is my watch endgame.
Even though it's not that expensive, I just can't resist that look.

My photos really don't do it justice, the dial has an amazing "sunburst" effect. I'll try to make other pictures.

Do you like it? I can't wait to have that watch forever by my side.

Specs:

Rado Golden Horse ref 11748
A.Schild 1701 movement (modified by Rado to have 41 jewels)
Diameter: 36,5mm (crown excluded)
Lug to lug: 42,3mm
Thickness: 11,2mm (crystal included)
Weight: 50g
