Charging handle for a non-rmr

I sure like the idea of the charging handle but I’ve only seen them on guns with rmr, I don’t need it, but if it doesn’t mess with the ride of the gun in the holster and my body I think it would make for a great upgrade. Do you all use one? I’m referring to the knob milled into the slide.

Yall started this

In my kind Glocks should be pure, they 100% work out of the box, why mess with something that’s not broke. Plus I shoot competition guns so Glocks are just solid kit and have a different mission than a race or competition gun.

I have shot Glocks since about 1992, and from then to now upgrades were very hit or miss. Lots of gimmick with no improvement. BUT, I recently moved states and since it was just me initially moving I didn’t bring any of the gun collection thinking it will just be work for a while so I brought a Glock 19 Ccw gun, and a 34 with rmr for everything else. Well I’ve shot a comp gun mainly for last few years and when I shot these the other day I shot well, but they aren’t competition guns. Come to find out things have changed in 20 years and with Ai, I can ask of there is anyway to improve a Glock to shoot more like my shadow 2. Heck yes it says.

I promptly ordered a Johnny Glock combat trigger for the 19 and since I was in shopping mode, why wait and ordered a Timney competition trigger kit. They both should be here this weekend. I had no idea we are able to ramp these things way above their utilitarian nature beyond color and little bits. In all that time I’ve only changed slide locks, slide stops, sights and added a few rmrs on guns I had milled.z.

I’m glad someone created this group, I figure it was you all younger folks fixing or changing things for the heck of it. Oh no, gun technology has greatly improved over the years . I’ll post picks and range report once they get here

Aeammo.com underwood 124gr 9mm blem sale 8.99

124gr 1150fps, blem ammo. Not particularly fast, but standard hollow point speed. Premium duty ammo by underwood. $8.99, shipping is steep at 17.95, so order enough to get free shipping or pal up with a buddy and split a lot to get it shipped free. I just ordered 28 boxes, so have a lifetime supply lol. Will let my buddy partake.

I shoot and carry underwood in all calibers except .45 and .40 and only because I have other ammo for those guns. Underwood is the self defense ammo standard though this load isn’t their faster lighter weight variant.

9mm 21rd magpul mags

They meet the 140mm length for competition and I’ve had a competition shooter say his have been utterly reliable. What’s your experience with them first hand, not internet lore :) I did some swapping with a guy and managed to get 3 thrown into the pot. Going to run them hard and see if they are 100%

Oem extended magazine

Glock 34 gen4, mag catch is slightly bigger than previous versions, but I like the idea of the oem extended one. Gun is mainly for fun, range, sd, or whatever. It’s not likely to get hit while drawing, or use, I’ll have to see how my holster fits it after. It is way to install, and if I don’t like it, put it back to stock. Yall got any experience with them?

Are there any shooter grade for cheap money. I sold my last one, then as I prepped to move I found a couple cases plus of 7.62x54r. Now I need a gun again

Mine lapsed decades again when real mil-surpa were drying up, then if you did find something you wanted, the supplier charged more to ship to my c&r then it did to an ffl, so even with ffl fee it was cheaper.

But now we live in a world of plastic weaponry like Glocks, ar type military weapons that besides not particularly collection worthy, we won’t ever see like days gone by.

Do you still have one and do you use it? What did you buy last? I bought 3 Chinese t53’s were most likely my last c&r purchase from Omega, way back.
