Growing at the edge of a supermarket car park. What a difference it makes when someone does something like this! Unsure what variety these are, but they are stunning and the bees and hoverflies were having a party 🎉🥳
Not rare I know, but wow they are stunning! So many in my garden currently, basking in the sun between trips to the buddleia.
Saw this on a friend's FB... for me there's something a little uncanny about the hay bails. Can't quite put my finger on it. Thoughts?
These aren't my pets... Although I wish they were! I hope my post doesn't fall fowl of the sub rules.
Also, HONK IF YOU'RE HUNGRY.
The guy IS a piece of shit for doing this though. I SAID IS!!!!!
Puffin, razorbill, fulmar, kittiwake and guillemot at Dunnet Head and Duncansby Head; ptarmigan and golden plover in Wester Ross.
Black Isle, Northern Scotland. It's been in my garden for the past few days and really loves perching on this bamboo cane. Good timing too as there are a billion flies here currently.
Black Isle, Northern Scotland. Is it a spotted flycatcher and if so, is it a juvenile? It absolutely loves this bamboo cane rn and spends most of its time sitting there when not catching flies. I'm on the edge of arable farmland and mixed woodland. Never seen one before so would be stoked to confirm a new lifer! TIA 🙂
My photos... From an abandoned taverna on the north-east coast.
He's wearing a tux and he's clearing away leftover food.
