Alabama Volleyball

Let's be real here... Rashinda Reed is an awful coach.

Hired in 2021 and went

4-14 in SEC play in 2022

1-17 in SEC play in 2023

3-13 in SEC play in 2024

5-10 in SEC play in 2025

Thats 13 of 54 conference games or a 24% win percentage. Sure they can beat easy smaller colleges out of conference, but that doesnt matter because there is no challenge.

With the loss to TX yesterday she has started the SEC play for 2026 at 0-4.

Whoever decided to extend her contract last year until 2028 is an absolute dumbass. Alabama is a prestigious sports college with Football, Basketball, Softball, Baseball and Gymnastics making it to championship games nearly every year. Why on earth are we paying this loser of a coach $250,000 a year to continue embarrassing us in volleyball conference play??? I could coach these girls to a winning season for half of what the university is wasting on her salary. She's terrible and needs to be fired. I have been following the team for years and used to enjoy going to the games, but she has no discipline and just wants to be friends with all the player and be happy that they "like" her. She is way too soft. Any other sport at UofA and she would be gone by now. Its time to give someone else a chance.

First casualty of the year....

A schedule 40 pvc pipe going to the booster pump for my pool broke. I have extractor bits but not one big enough for 1/2" pipe so I decided my Civivi Elementum in Nitro V would work to get it out. I hammered it in with a couple of gentle taps. Then I used pliers to grip the blade and when i started to turn it to reverse it out, it snapped on me. Oh well, time to upgrade my beater knife. We had a good 3 year run!

Toolbox accent lighting, yay or nay??

Had some LED strip lights i didnt know what to do with, so I added them to my toolbox & work bench in my shop. Went with red for the photo op because of my Milwaukee toolboxes but I can change them to any color.

I have a detached shop with a kitchen, bathroom, couch and TV so I thought it would be nice to accent it at night time if I was out there, but wasnt wrenching on anything. Thoughts??

This is Delilah. I got her in the mid 2000's because she needed to be re-homed. I didnt now anything about boxers and when I went to see her, she had a very deep laceration on her leg that required staples. I didnt want to leave her with her current owners because they obviously weren't taking care of her, so I took her. I immediately took her to the vet and had her patched up. She ended up being the sweetest girl I have ever owned. That was many, many years ago and I am now on my 3rd boxer and it is the only breed I am interested in owning all because of this sweet Delilah girl. Bonus pic of #2 and #3, Teela and Cyrus

Just got my Skell and can't fly.

I just unlocked Skells around the 40 hour mark. I was so excited about being able to fly around and unlock new frontier sites but apparently I need a flight module that isn't available until chapter 9?? Is this true? Why even take the skell anywhere if I can't fly. I'd rather just keep exploring on foot but now I dont really want to even continue the game if I can't fly. What a time sink.

Moles/voles

I live in central Alabama and have never had a problem with moles/voles but this year they are wrecking my lawn. I have tried everything but traps so far. Anyone else have any experience with getting rid of them?

A few of my favorite plates from my collection..

These are a few of my favorite plates in my collection. The oldest plate I own is 1950 Nebraska followed by 1951 Alabama, both in excellent collection. Believe it or not, I am still missing states and have 75+ plates. My goal is collection a plate from every state.

Mine has to be this statue of Marilyn Monroe my wife and I bought a couple of years ago. We call her "Muertalyn" and she just lives in my shop now.

Finally beat the arcade version of one of my favorite SNES games, U.N. Squadron

Was still a lot of fun but level select and plane upgrades are better on the SNES version as well as the music is more nostalgic.
