How are your Favorite Brawlers Doing in the Meta Right Now?

I honestly am doing this because I want to try and spread at least a bit of good vides.

As for mine: Besides Ash and Meg (and even then she doesn't feel as strong thanks to that wretched supercharge nerf), the rest of my favorites range from mid to outright awful.

Predicting what Brawlers Might Get Buffies in the Next Update.

Before anyone attacks me for Putting Starr Park Hub soo high, Just let me explain.

This is under the mindset that Supercell set for them when making buffies, which fall under 2 MASSIVE POINTS;

  1. Does the Brawlers Kit match up with today's standard of brawler design (or how good they are in the meta); R-T has bin consistantly C tier sense Around Sirius's release and the Twin's not only have major kit issues and missed potential, but are arguably d tier in the meta right now.

And 2. Does that Trio fit with the theme of the Update; If you don't know there's an bit of a brawler build up event called #BrawlX9, which x9 if you don't know means a type of gossiper or snitch in brazillan Portuguese. And throughout the clip is someone stealing so vital information from a suitcase in a office in starr park, filmed on a camera. Along with this, [While this probably means nothing now], Durring the built up for the nanonoodles update, we see kenji and kaze fighting while being recorded by some kind of hidden security camera for a bit before it fades to black, finally. Lately if you bin paying attention in some of the animations, R-T has showed up in 2 of them, Bolt's animation in a bit of a blink and you'll miss it shot, and just flying by durring the Wendy Animation.

All this combined tells me that at the bare minimum, Star Park Hub is getting some kind of massive buff or change to them.

Take this, alongside everything else with a grain of salt, these are just predictions and we'll actually see who gets them in a few weeks.

Do any of you genuinely have fun with the game in it's current state?

Genuinely asking outta curiosity because everyone is just so negative here for lord knows how long.

Boltians, I have a bit of a conflict.

Should I go ahead and get the true gold bolt skin to cement my love for him, or should I wait a bit until later on?

I'm only asking because, as much as I love bolt, I don't know if it's worth all the waiting for.

Can we all agree that this year had the Worst New Brawlers (in terms of balance) in the entire History of the Game?

(pierce and glowbert also released this year, they just weren't in the image).

On some level we all know why they make the new brawlers strong, but it's like after buffies, supercell ramped up the strength of the new brawlers in order to compete with them.

It's actually ridiculous, even if they had a streak of like 4 weak brawlers in a row, this will would Still bet the worst year of brawler balancing of all time.

How many of you guys here have played/heard of overwatch, and if so; thoughts on some of it's inspiration on Brawler Design?

Supercell has bin Slowly Productizing this game for Years, and I think it's time to talk about it.

Note: Productizing simply means making a product more commercially viable for simplicity's sake,

I mean, think about everything the game has had for a long while. (weither we hate it or not)

Buffies/Hypercharge: They were done because they caused huge player base spikes and more revenue, and to create a sense of FOMO because eventually, they'll get to a brawler you love and make them broken for 2 months.

Broken Brawlers Upon Release; On some level, it's kinda understandable why they're being released so strong, but they are taking it way too far to the point where I believe that purchasing them upon release is kinda encouraging them to do it more frequently.

Bad Balance Changes: This is a very vicious cycle that Supercell does a lot; where either they release something very broken and then don't nerf them properly and then repeat until they die out, wimpering, or they just flat-out kill the brawler instantly after 1 or 2 months. This year especially is very bad in this regard, showing that Supercell (for the most part) doesn't care at all about the quality of its meta.

Mini Brawl Talk Hype Events; As much as I want to believe that these are being done because of the lore, I'm pretty sure they're doing it to stir up hype for the new brawler that's going to be released. I mean, Bolt's Community event only happened because they needed a way to artificially create hype for him, because Damian and Starr Nova had events; same with Damian before his release, etc, and as Much as I like a few of these, they legit feel like something that only exists for money.

Oddity Shop: Clearly was done to monetize skins even more aggressively than they were before, and even before that, skins were slowly beginning to get more and more expensive in rarity.

Matchmaking: This is speculation, but I would be shocked if the matchmaking was rigged on some level to encourage people to play the broken brawlers, in order for that brawler to get more revenue and, in turn, encourage more overpower brawlers/buffies and hypercharges.

Rarity inflation; Clearly being done to make it so that some rarities are more monetizable than other rarities, along with ultra legendary purely existing to be a huge money paywall.

Records and F2P Progression Changes; One of the Time To Explain podcasts says it best, but to summarize: "They DON'T want F2P players to be able to have maxed-out accounts and compete in ranked." This is also why things like credit banks will never come into the game.

Events: (note: I'm only talking about the big ones, community events are fine). These events are the biggest indicator that this game is now productized, not only because they happen constantly, but some of them just blatantly reuse older event ideas instead of developing new ones, because they don't care about the quality of the events as long as they make them a ton of money.

Kidification: This is mainly to appeal to kids because they are the best way for the game to squeeze money out of the game.

Bugs: They clearly do not care about keeping the game in a playable state as long as, again, they get a ton of money.

Now look, companies need money to survive; that is just a fact of the matter and im not too annoyed by that, but there's an understanding that a company needs money, and turning a game into a money-sucking product just to keep your buisness afloat. This was something I was able to pick up after only a few months of buffies being out and I'm not even a business person at all. Slowly if something doesn't change soon, the game will eventually shut down and be deemed unprofitable in the future unless they change their ways, but I know they probably are not going to do that any time soon

TLDR: Every issue this game has is a direct result of Supercell's gradual productization strategy over time.

Genuinely, what are our thoughts on Adrian?

Honestly, on Some Level, I do feel bad for all the hate he's getting, considering I think he has to abide by Supercell's greedy business practices for new brawler/buffie releases, and he's basically getting pinned for all of the game's balancing problems.

... but on the other hand, his balancing is horrifically inconsistent and somewhat frustrating at times, and it genuinely is not helping the game at all when he has to make new broken abilities and balance them every update.

As a result, I do think he's both overhated and perfectly hated at the same time, and at this point it wouldn't hurt to have more people on the balancing team who actually know what they're doing when it comes to game balancing.

[Fluff] Average Post Quality In A Nutshell.

In all seriousness though, can we get some more genuine post variety, I legit almost wanna go back to doing those trashy talkshow style posts because at least they were unique.

Now that it has Bin a Bit sense the Nerfs; Thoughts On Bolt?

Honestly, I'm starting to see some of the pros say He's B Tier now and less people are using him.

Probably because of more op brawlers, But at this point I don't think we can say he's broken anymore.

August Data & Meta Tier List — Pro Scrim Data (V5)

------Info------

The tier list is simply my interpretation of the data, feel free to draw your own conclusion.

All data shown on the last two slides are data purely from scrips, total scrim dataset: 1045 Sets.

Wendy & Nori: Neither has had enough time to truly fully be played in scrims and be tested properly. I grabbed the Nori placement from SpenLC's most recent Tier List. Wendy to me feels like another prime L&L candidate (slightly weaker but still around that level of brokenness).

Grom: is the only brawler right now that has NO scrim data, deserving of his own tier if you ask me.

------Spreadsheet------

I've been wanting to make the "scrim data" publicly available for a while now. However as you can see on the last slide I have no idea how to do it outside of spreadsheets, so I've been putting some time into making this look good: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bQKjQV9pw-sZCTBYDLiPE4TfbQghJXrF-ygzf5Gm8Kc/edit?usp=sharing

I plan to keep using this spreadsheet even with new metas and will attempt to update the data daily. I hope this allows you to see the data better and make your own opinions on it :)

------V5 So late------

Not sure if anyone cares but I was on vacation and missed so much data that I didn't feel like it was worth it in June & July to post. Now I'm back and life started again so I won't miss out on data.

Ranking Brawlers based off of how motivated I am to play them.

Take this with a grain of salt; most of my passion for this game is dead, and with how many people despise brawlers like bolt, even playing him doesn't feel fun.

Quick Question: How Many Of You, Genuinely understand The Plot Of This Game and What's Going on?

TBH, I had this opinion that I have been hiding for a while, but at this point, I cannot keep it hidden anymore.

This Fandom has probably the biggest illliteracy problem I have ever seen come from any community.

It has gotten to the point where sometimes, I have to ask if we have read the same story, with how illiterate you guys can be.

I know not everyone is able to keep up with the story, fully and understand every bit of info they give you at once, and the messages they are trying to give out, but there's a point where that illiteracy flat out turns into just plain old spewing out misinformation.

And the amount of chaos this illiteracy has caused, especially in just this year alone, is just unfathomable, from not understanding the Beasts' backstories to much to the point where you take the most simplistic traits they have (ex: eternal sugar-loving hollyberry or Burning Spice being bored) to everything having to deal with White Lily in episode 15 of beast yeast (to presummingly Timeline Of Fate Episode 8, I don't even want to fully know how bad that's debait is going to be in a few hours).

All these illiteracy issues legimitely makes ya'll seem so hostile and toxic, and when the game is in such a dire state right now, that's the last thing we need right now.

Now I'm not saying you have to rewatch the entire storyline from start to finish, but when discussing a character or plot beat in a story that you love, try to actually understand what they are fully about in the context of the narrative instead of the community's notions. And please try to have civil discussions of it if possible (if you genunely cannot for whatever reason, that's perfectly okay, but try to be civil about it and not go off in emotional sprints of logic and reasoning), that's all I ask.

TLDR (for those who just...skipped to the end of the post for some reason): Try to Actually Understand the Game's Narrative instead of saying something/forcing a toxic opinion that might not be trule.

Boltians, Do any of you even care about Hitting Prestiege 3 on Bolt?

Artwork Link Right Here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DXl6xdAgVUr/?img_index=2

I'm only curious because at this point, I feel like it's basically impossible to push prestiege 3 on any Brawler unless your either a god at the game, or have a good team of friends that can help you.

And yes, I did try to cheese it by using a lower trophy account and it still feels impossible.
