Hi! I wanted to share my experience purchasing a house-unit reading from a fortune teller called Carina, who goes by “Master Carina” and operates under The Curator Galeria. I’m sharing this so others can make their own informed decision before purchasing.

How I came across the service
I came across an Instagram Story from a livestreamer/influencer (whom I won’t name) enthusiastically talking about how her life had improved after having a house-unit reading with Carina.

According to the livestreamer, she had previously been going through a difficult period, but after consulting Carina about her unit number, she experienced significant improvements in her life. She specifically mentioned that her livestream business improved substantially and that her livestream viewership reached an all-time high after the reading.

She also said that she had recommended Carina to friends who subsequently had positive experiences. She explained that she had initially been sceptical about fortune telling, but after experiencing what she described as positive changes herself, she decided to host a livestream session with Carina.
During the livestream, she shared some examples of what she considered to be particularly accurate observations from her reading. One example she gave was that Carina had commented that she was not being intimate enough with her husband, which she felt was surprisingly accurate.

At the time, I was not very familiar with livestream selling tactics, such as storytelling, creating urgency around limited slots, bells/notifications, and bargaining between the livestreamer and seller. I also trusted the livestreamer’s account of her experience.

Based on what was presented during the livestream, I decided to purchase a 20-minute house-unit reading for $188.

For context, I remember seeing other services being offered at higher prices, including a face-to-face reading that I recall being priced at $788, although I can no longer find that particular listing on TikTok Shop. There were also $78 oil products marketed with names such as “Healing Touch”, “Benefactor’s Bliss” and “Celestial Guard”, which were presented as being beneficial for luck and fortune.

My experience with the reading
After purchasing the reading, an admin arranged a phone appointment between Carina and me.

There were several things about the experience that I found disappointing:

1. The appointment started late
Carina was approximately 20 minutes late for our scheduled call.
I did not receive advance notice that she would be late. I waited by my phone for around 10 minutes before receiving a message saying that she was still on a call with the previous client.

2. The phone-number comment
When Carina called, she briefly mentioned that she could tell something about my personality from my phone number and suggested that I change it if possible.
At the time, I did not think much of it. In hindsight, it made me wonder whether this was intended to introduce me to the separate phone-number reading service, which I understand was also priced at $188. I cannot say what her intention was, so this is simply how I interpreted the interaction.

3. My house-unit reading
After I provided my unit number, Carina gave me several observations about my family.

For example, she said that there was a lot of love within my family but that there were contrasting personalities, such as someone being more picky while another person was more carefree.

She also advised me to add certain numbers to my unit number, which she said would help improve the overall luck of the family unit.

I personally found the observations fairly general and they did not resemble the unusually specific and accurate experience that the livestreamer had described.
I followed the advice regarding the unit number, but I personally did not notice any significant change in our lives afterwards.

When I later raised this with the livestreamer, my understanding of her response was that she believed I had to put in more effort into improving myself, as she had done. This left me feeling that her own efforts were an important factor in the improvements she experienced, whereas the original livestream had given me the impression that the house-unit reading itself had been a major turning point.

To be clear, I understand that a person should not expect a reading to magically change their life and that personal effort obviously matters. My main reason for purchasing the reading was actually to seek advice relating to my family’s overall wellbeing, including my parents’ health, rather than simply to improve my finances.

During my reading, Carina did discuss the health of my family, although I personally found those comments fairly general. She also told me that changing the unit number would help improve the health of the family.

4. The reading ended early
The call ended at approximately 15 minutes, even though I had purchased a 20-minute reading.
Carina told me that she needed to attend another call with a client.

As a customer who had paid specifically for a 20-minute session, I was disappointed that the call did not last the full duration.

5. Others
Carina also instructed us to paste smaller number stickers behind our existing unit numbers — for example, if our actual unit is #11-99, we were instructed to add “565” behind it. This raised concerns for me about whether displaying an additional, unauthorised number on a property could create regulatory issues, as well as potential practical confusion for parcel deliveries, visitors or emergency personnel trying to identify the correct unit.

Questions about professional background
Another thing I found difficult to assess was Carina’s professional background.

I was unable to find publicly available information about her formal training or certifications in numerology or fortune telling.

I also asked the livestreamer who had recommended the service about Carina’s background. She told me that she had not personally carried out formal due diligence on Carina’s qualifications.

I subsequently asked Carina’s admin about her professional background, but I did not receive a clear answer.
I am not claiming that Carina has no qualifications. I simply could not find information that would allow me, as a customer, to independently assess her training or credentials before purchasing the service.

Refund request
After the reading, I contacted the company to request a refund. My reason was that the appointment started approximately 20 minutes late and the actual call lasted around 15 minutes despite the service being advertised/purchased as a 20-minute reading.

The company did not agree to a refund.

Instead, they offered me another reading of my unit number and an oil product as a goodwill gesture.
I declined both because I did not want another reading or the oil.

I also found myself wondering how another reading of the same unchanged unit number would work.
When I asked the admin about this, I was told that Carina had selected the combination of numbers she considered most appropriate for me, but that there could be different combinations that could also work.

I don’t know whether this is standard practice in this type of reading, but personally, I found the explanation difficult to understand and it made the process feel quite subjective to me.

Overall
I’m sharing this because this was my personal experience as a paying customer.

I went into the purchase based largely on the very positive experience described by the livestreamer, so my expectations were quite different from what I ultimately experienced.

The main issues for me were:

The appointment started approximately 20 minutes late without advance notice.

The reading ended after approximately 15 minutes despite being sold as a 20-minute session.

I personally found the reading more general than I had expected based on the livestreamer’s description.

I was unable to independently find clear information about the practitioner’s formal training or qualifications.

I requested a refund based on the above issues but was offered another reading and an oil product instead.

I’m not claiming that other people cannot have positive experiences with Carina. I’m simply sharing mine so that anyone considering purchasing a reading can make their own decision and perhaps ask questions about the service, methodology, pricing and the practitioner’s background beforehand.

TLDR: This was my personal experience purchasing a house-unit reading from Carina. If you’re considering purchasing one, do your own research and make your decision based on what you’re comfortable with.

There have been various discussions about whether sellers offering cheap Spotify, Netflix and other streaming subscriptions are actually legitimate on local sg subreddit.

Firstly, how do these cheap subscriptions work?

Take Spotify Premium as an example. Some of these arrangements require you to hand over your account details so the seller can add you to a subscription family plan. The account may then be placed under a different country / region where subscription prices are significantly cheaper.

Problem with these arrangements may not be stable in the long run. If the account no longer meets the platform's eligibility requirement, you will lose the access.

The hell cycle will be like this: subscription stops working -> contact seller -> wait for seller -> subscription gets restored -> repeat whole process

If you're unlucky, you might instead get ghosted by the seller altogether. So that "cheap" subscription can eventually become a massive headache, especially when you're constantly having to chase the seller whenever something goes wrong.

ONE SELLER IN PARTICULAR: @sushitech or sushi

Avoid dealing with this account. Even though the account's overall rating on Carousell may look impressive at first glance, but looking through the lower-rated reviews.. There are buyers reporting issues with their subscriptions and difficulties getting a response from the seller. Hearsay allegedly a TG group was even created because of their irresponsible conduct. The seller will edit their own reviews to one-star buyers and frame it as the buyer not reading T&C.

Sometimes, the few dollars you save aren't worth the hassle of repeatedly losing access and having to chase a seller. The customers who they have ghosted decided to just purchase the full subscription plans which are way better and reliable.

So, to anyone considering buying these subscription services: honestly, don't. Not only is it a grey area not worth the headache... Unless you enjoy getting ghosted when things go wrong and receiving entitled replies.
