Is PSI accreditation required for UCD master in applied psychology program?

As an overseas student I wanted to ensure if it is needed before applying because it takes 20 weeks for processing.

Though my degree ticks all the required boxes and is verified .

Zoloft and apathy?

I've been not giving a fk alot. But it's not reckless like Im not doing rebellious things it's more of like I am not putting up with people's bullshit. And this comes so naturally that I don't have to force my self anymore to not take in there bullshit.

I don't smile every other now but that's because I only do it to people I genuinely like. I some really toxic relative but we always were very courteous towards them. However this time I threw my courtesy out the window because these relatives are lecherous and ungrateful ahh.

I also have been very hyper present which is really great. I'm controlling myself in real time. The twitches are new because I've been on these meds for 5 months now.

[IRL] Can anyone suggest good 1 year programs in psychology?

I'm an international student and have done my undergrad in BS psychology with a 3.8 GPA, looking for programs in IRELAND. My interest is toward the clinical side. Though I'm working in education sector as a researcher. However I am planning to began my masters and set into a more clinical side of psychology. I have also heard it important that I find programs that have placements, but can't seem to find any in ireland.

SO FAR, all the programs I've looked at seems to be similar to what I learned in bachelors.

[IRL] What has your experience as an MS Clinical Psychology students in Ireland as been like?

Hi everyone,
I'm an international student who has completed there Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from a recognized university back home, and I am now looking into pursuing my Master’s degree in Ireland. The aim is to pursue roles as AP clinical psychologist, researcher in mental health, Or maybe go into neuro in the future. I’ve been trying to research online, but I'm finding it surprisingly hard to get clear details on a few things. I figured this would be the best place to ask!

If anyone has experience studying or working in this field there, I’d love to get your thoughts on a few questions:

Scope of Psychology: What is the general scope and outlook for psychology in Ireland right now?

Job & Internship Market: How difficult is it to land internships or entry-level jobs after finishing postgraduate studies there as an international student?

Global Recognition: Will an Irish Master’s degree be widely recognized if I want to move to another European country or elsewhere in the world later on?

PSI Accreditation: As an international applicant, do I need to get my prior qualifications aligned via the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) before submitting my university applications, or is that something handled during/after the admissions process?

Program: what type of program should I look for?

Scholarship: If i apply for GOI-IES, They only offer 1 year of fee waiver, so im restricted to find one year programs. Is there any way this can be exceeded. Has any one applied for it before?

Any insights, tips, or even warnings about things I should watch out for would be hugely appreciated. Thanks so very much!

Applying for masters in psychology

Ireland was my frist option. A one year masters not sure how that would be helpful. But I have relatives there so housing could be easy. But the thing is as an international student they have this psi accreditation that costs a lot just to see if my degree alligns- course wise it obviously does. But there are alot of loops to jump through.

Is ireland really a good option. Has any international student done there degree in ms psychology from Ireland.

It's Friday and it's 14th August

I would like for all of us in this subreddit make a collective prayer for pakistan in our jumma prayers. Reach out to Allah from the depth off our hearts to pray for a better pakistan.

The state of pakistan right now is pitiful - I am though grateful to have my own country and for the sacrifices made by the founders and all those that believed in this dream of having a separate nation.

Honestly not a single one of them might have had a clue how it would turn out.

The situation we are in is a dire one. We can't rebel like the people in Nepal nor like the people in Bangladesh. Our situation is different. The servants that were suppose to serve the civilians have become political.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah stated,

“Do not forget that the arrmed forces are the servants of the people. You do not make national policy; it is we, the civilians, who decide these issues and it is your duty to carry out these tasks with which you are entrusted.”

[1] Staff College Quetta, 1948.

We honestly Need Allah by our side as always. Pakistan wa established on name of Islam and we will reclaim pakistan in the name of Islam.

Allāhu Akbar. Allāhu a`azzu min khalqihi jamī`a. Allāhu a`azzu mimmā akhāfu wa aḥdhar. a`ūdhu billāhi ‘l-ladhī lā ilāha illā hū. almumsikis-samāwātis-sab`ian yaqa`na `ala ‘l-arḍi illā bi idhnih. min sharri `abdika [name of the person]. wa junūdihi wa atbā`ihi wa ashyā`ih. mina ‘l-jinni wa ‘l-ins. Allāhumma kun lī jāran min sharrihim. jalla thanā'uk. wa `azza jāruk. wa tabāraka-smuk. wa lā ilāha ghayruk.

Allah is the Most Great, Mightier than all His creation. He is Mightier than what I fear and dread. I seek refuge in Allah, Who there is none worthy of worship but Him. He is the One Who holds the seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His command.[I seek refuge in You Allah] from the evil of Your slave [name of the person], and his helpers, his followers, and his supporters from among the jinn and mankind. O Allah, be my support against their evil. Glorious are Your praises and mighty is Your patronage. Blessed is Your Name, there is no true God but You. (Recite three times in Arabic.)

Ps: pray surah kahf, do good deeds and think hopeful and let's us care about not only ourselves but everyone else in pakistan. That is the way we can reclaim pakistan, pray for all your brothers and sisters - think as ONE.

Is this system overkill?

I work with data, spss, apps like python, power bi and alot of documentation stuff. I also like gaming and would like to get back to my gaming life ( has a sh***y laptop before )

So I was thinking of getting this : Dell Precision 7730 Mobile Workstation, Intel Core i7-8850H, 16GB, 512GB SSD, 17.3" FHD, NVIDIA Quadro P3200 6GB, Backlit KB, Windows 11 Pro

One note I may apply for masters and not sure if this would be portable but I guess I won't be taking it every day. Just once or when needed.

Thoughts?

Selling my passion project!

Hi girlies 🤍

Selling this Lehenga Choli made from my heart and soul, sweat and tears.

Breakdown:

Cloth: 13k

Dupatta (dyed + lace): 3k

Lace, beads, pearls, tassel: 6k

Stitching + cutwork: 11k + 3k

Let's not even talk about travel costs T.T

Selling for **25k (**negotiable)

The Details:

I wanted to make something that would look classy and graceful. So here our the details.

- The choli is kept plain on the front and back- I love minimal styling, and since I'm a hijabi, why add work where it won't even show? Instead, I poured all the love into the sleeves: heavy embroidered net with customised cuffs finished with the cutest little pearls. Since sleeves are what really shows for us hijabis, I wanted them to pop out. There's also a cute custom tassel on the back,

color-matched to the dress, plus a side zip for easy wear.

- The lehenga is heavy, with beautiful cutwork on the trims (made sure every detail was done just right ). I wanted this piece to really stand out. And it did be because I made sure the balance of plain and heavy was maintained. ( honeslty I don't like dresses that are overly heavy, idk but this way dresses feel classy)

- The dupatta took forever to find. I searched high and low for the perfect minimal, graceful net dupatta, then I found it finally, had it dyed to match the dress and finished with the same pearl lace. Worth every bit of the hunt.

And the hijab! Finding a ready made one in this exact shade was never happening, so I got matching fabric cut and stitched to size just for this set.

P.S. I'll throw in the hijab AND the can-can but at a fixed 25k 🎀

Anyone super interested, DM me sister 💙 I'll share every detail till you're 100% satisfied.( ik buying from strangers online can be daunting so if this is what you like ask away any questions you have in mind)

Need to have someone hold me accountable because I keep loosing my discipline and motivation for applying to grad school

I'm in the trying for grad school and it's overwhelming, all the essays, LORs, transcripts, the whole mess and honestly it's a lot easier to stay motivated when you're not doing it completely alone. Looking for someone who's in a similar boat doesn't matter if you're applying to the same field or programs, just someone also grinding through this process who wants to check in. A weekly text/call to go over what we each got done and what's still pending. Sharing deadlines so we can nudge each other. maybe swapping SOP/essay drafts for a second pair of eyes, if that's useful to both of us. No pressure, nothing formal, just some mutual momentum so neither of us falls into "I'll do it tomorrow" mode for the fifth week in a row.

Or someone could guide me where I could find such a support to keep myself on toes.

I work in a non-profit and the work pace has gotten very slow

I don't know what to do with my situation. There's no pressure or anything at work. My boss basically tells me to capitalise on this because these months are slow. But it's been slowfor quite some time. And I get handed some random ass task. The thing is I'm 25 I just graduated and I need to apply for masters ( which has always been my goal). Because after masters I'll be able to step into roles I want too. My learning curve has reached its limit here and its just be doing nothing and just chatting with people and drinking coffee. But I think I'm loosing precious time not growing here. I've been applying to new jobs but the market sucks. And I'm like what do to. I'm getting paid though but the distance is crazy its like 45 minutes from home.

I don't know what to do with my time here.

Has zoloft reduced hair growth in anyone?

I'm a girlie and I'm taking 50 mg and I've notice my mustache hair hasn't been growing at all. It's like I hardly shave off my mustache now in comparison to before. It's weird
