The manhwa in question is Killer Contract, produced by the creator of Reality Quest. It’s actually really good, but it drives me crazy to see such a blatant copy of Killer Peter.

Before sharing my theory, I’ll first discuss a few aspects of Little Hope.
The first aspect is, of course, the narrative mechanic of following two timelines.
The first timeline is set in the 17th or 18th century during the witch trials.
The second timeline takes place in 2019 with the group of students (even if it’s all in Andrew’s head—though that’s not what matters here).
This allows the player to follow two interconnected stories in parallel, even though they only play as the characters from 2019.
The second aspect is the "New Age" cult, which is briefly mentioned a few times. I believe Supermassive Games introduced this cult so it would feel familiar to players when it reappears in a later game (much like Cassiopeia, mentioned in House of Ashes, which later plays a major role in Directive 8020).
This leads me to another theory: the Season 2 games will share parallel similarities with the Season 1 games, just as we see with Man of Medan and Directive 8020. The first game of Season 1 took place on a ship, and guess what? The first game of Season 2 takes place on a spaceship, which can also be considered a type of ship.
It stands to reason that the same pattern will apply to Little Hope and the next game(The Craven Man ?)
1988 (Prologue):
A "New Age" cult ritual awakens, summons, or unleashes a supernatural threat. The playable character, a cult member, and other members die (a classic Dark Pictures prologue trope).
2028 (Main Timeline):
A new group of characters confronts this threat. They discover audio cassettes (which feature prominently in the secret Directive 8020 teaser). Through these recordings, they witness the events of 2019, and the player can even step into the shoes of certain characters from that era.
2019 (Secondary but playable timeline):
A group already facing the same threat. Decisions made while playing these characters have tangible repercussions on the 2028 timeline.
2029 = game release date (early in the year, or October to tie in with Halloween).
Supermassive Games will thus draw inspiration from the narrative approach used in Little Hope to make the gameplay narratively engaging.

So, if you choose to pursue a relationship with the creepy guy, you learn how to shoot to survive later on.
If you choose the woman, you might potentially be spared in the future by her (supposed) monstrous form, and thus stay alive.

He isolated Mike and Jessica (The bait and the one who wrote the letter), and I don't know what he had planned for Matt and Emilie(The one who supported the joke and the one who filmed it), since they were supposed to go down to get Emilie's bag. But Josh didn't seem concerned about the couple moving away from the cabin.
