Looking for flatbed drivers

Looking for Flatbed Carriers

Hi, this is C&C Solutions (LLC formation planned for Jan 2027)

I am a 29 year old man who has been researching the freight industry.

I’m pleased to announce that I’m starting my freight brokerage business in 2027. C&C Solutions will be focused on flatbed deliveries into West Texas for steel, pipe, and other oil company needs.

I’d love to connect with your carrier and build rapport with you. I’d love to be the liaison between deliveries, and eventually dedicated lanes, and your company.

Please comment below if interested or if you have feedback.

Does it matter if my llc has the word freight in it?

I’m working on a name for my freight broker business in an undisclosed niche, but should my llc have the word freight in it? what if i name it something unrelated for example

_____ Solutions, LLC (name unrelated to freight)
Or
C&C Freight, LLC

Those are the 2 options. Does it matter?

Why do people keep saying to give the 3 1st round picks for trey murphy? its annoying and does nothing for us.

Siakam already averaged 20 the season of the injury, so its not like hes adding to increase our points, nembhard already guards the number 1 best guy on the other team, so we dont need him for that, like damn its so fucking annoying to link him to us. Im good with hali back, kelly oubre , larry nance, and the draft pick. we are literally good but people keep making this dumb idea to trade 3 first round picks for trey murphy who wouldnt do shit on the team. im not willing to give up anyone for him because i dont think its a smart or good fit. let me know if im tripping but it gets me so angry.

Is Dropservicing to the government while 100% remote a smart or dumb idea?

Am I thinking about this the right way?

I'm pretty new to government contracting and trying to figure out if this is actually a realistic business to start.

Right now I don't have a job and I don't have a lot of money to put into a business. I'm trying to find something I can start from home with basically a laptop and internet.

The idea I keep coming back to is government contracting.

Basically, I want to start an LLC, register as a government contractor, find government contracts that I think I can handle, bid on them, and if I win, subcontract the actual work to another company that already knows how to do it.

So basically:

Government → My company → Subcontractor → Actual work

For example, if there's a $100k government janitorial contract, I would find a legit cleaning company that can do the work and get their price before I bid.

If they say they'll do it for $75k, I'd build my bid around that, plus my expenses and profit.

If I won the contract, they would actually do the cleaning and I'd handle the government side, contract management, scheduling, invoices, making sure everything gets done correctly, etc.

I wouldn't be doing the cleaning myself.

I'm trying to understand if this is a normal/legitimate way to operate or if I'm looking at this completely wrong.

What I think I need to do to get started:

  • Form an LLC
  • Get an EIN
  • Open a business bank account
  • Register on SAM.gov
  • Get whatever insurance is required
  • Make a basic website/business email
  • Set up bookkeeping
  • Find government opportunities
  • Find companies that could potentially subcontract the work
  • Get their pricing
  • Make sure the solicitation allows the subcontracting arrangement
  • Submit the bid
  • Hopefully win
  • Sign the subcontract and have them perform the work
  • Manage everything remotely

I'm trying to keep the startup costs as low as possible. I don't want to rent an office, buy equipment, hire employees, or buy trucks. Ideally this would be something I could run from my laptop at home.

Industries

The 3 areas I'm currently looking at are:

1. Janitorial/cleaning

2. Landscaping/grounds maintenance

3. Courier/delivery

Janitorial seems like it might be the best place to start because there are already a lot of cleaning companies that have employees and equipment, so I wouldn't need to build that part myself.

I'm also interested in landscaping and courier work for the same reason.

The part I'm worried about

I know I can't just win a government contract and automatically outsource 100% of the work.

I've been reading about the SBA/FAR subcontracting limitations, especially for small-business set-asides, and I want to make sure I'm doing this correctly.

My plan would be to check the solicitation before bidding and make sure I understand how much I'm allowed to subcontract and what my company has to perform itself.

I don't want to try to find loopholes or misrepresent anything. I want to set it up correctly from the beginning.

Cash flow is another issue

Let's say I win a $100k contract and my subcontractor is going to cost $75k.

I obviously may have to pay them before the government money actually hits my account.

I've been looking into government-contract factoring/receivables financing as a possible solution once I actually have a contract.

My understanding is that there are factoring companies that will potentially advance money against eligible government receivables, but I'm still trying to understand exactly how that works and whether the contract has to allow assignment of the receivable.

My biggest question

Is this actually a realistic business model for someone starting from basically zero?

I'm not expecting to immediately win a $1M contract. I'd be happy getting a small $25k-$100k contract, learning how everything works, performing it correctly, and then scaling from there.

I'm basically trying to build a business where my job is finding the opportunity, winning the contract, managing the contract, and coordinating the companies doing the actual work.

For people who actually do government contracting:

  • Is this a realistic way to start?
  • Would janitorial be a good first industry?
  • Are there better industries for this type of model?
  • How hard is it to win your first contract with no government past performance?
  • How do you find subcontractors before you bid?
  • How much money should I realistically have saved before starting?
  • Does government-contract factoring actually work the way I'm thinking?
  • What am I missing?
  • Would it be smarter to subcontract under an existing government prime first before trying to become a prime myself?

I'm completely new to this, so I'm looking for honest advice, especially from people who have actually done this. Is this dumb or smart?

I just remembered that I was molested. What now ?

I don’t know why I remembered this 11 years later. But what should I do?

Also at 8 years old, me and my sister were kissing in bed. Full blown make out. I don’t know if she remembers or what. But I feel super weird.

This memory just haunted me. Both at the same time.

In high school someone was sitting next to me, moved their hand to my private area. The person did it more than once.

I don’t know what to do with this info. Should I ignore it?

Is this a smart business idea ?

I’m thinking about starting a residential painting business and wanted to get opinions from people who have experience in this industry.
My idea is to create an actual painting company where I focus on getting customers, estimating jobs, managing the projects, and handling customer service. I would subcontract the painting work to reliable painters instead of doing the labor myself. The customer would hire my company, and I would manage the entire process from start to finish.

I’m looking at starting small with just one painter and one job at a time, then scaling by adding more crews as I get more customers. The goal would be to build a legitimate local service business, not just a lead-generation company. I’d focus on interior painting first because it seems like it has fewer moving parts than remodeling, lower risk of damaging homes, and easier operations.

Is this a good business model? Is painting a good industry to enter right now? Are there any major challenges I’m overlooking with subcontracting painters instead of having employees? If you’ve started or run a painting company, I’d appreciate any advice.

I THINK IM GOING TO HELL BUT I DONT WANT TO

I messed up and became angry with the church because of a situation and in that anger, I forgot God and dont know how to get back and think im going to hell. I fell so far off that its sad. I thought i was the same person but now I realize that I dont know jesus anymore. I dont feel convicted in sin. I think i lost the holy spirit. I gamble, repent then gamble again. i did that like 20 times. im a bad servant of jesus.

Welp I’m officially out of politics due to what just passed.

Democrats and Republicans just voted to merge with Israel. I’m so fucking done. Fuck both sides. This is why I didn’t support either one of these fuckers. Both bootlicking Israel. So now we partner our military with Israel? When have we ever done this?

The US may officially be done soon. Republicans and democrats can’t escape this one because you both agreed to this. Can’t wiggle out because the facts are there. Both of you are to blame for the merger.

Since when does the us merge with another country? Smh all you republicans and democrats keep fighting each other, this is what’s happening behind your back, both sides working together against you. And some of you will still fall for it.

Stop fighting other Americans, that’s what they want you to do, we need to unite and stop this.

I dont like these lying politicians and other generations forcing us to pick a side. In the 2024 U.S. presidential election, approximately 34% of the voting-eligible population abstained from voting.

First off, all politicians lie. Ive voted both democrat and republican but each time my life never changed. I don't like these lying politicians and people that take politics way too seriously. I think people sometimes forget that we all have a RIGHT to choose, even if other people don't like the choice we make. That includes not voting.

As gen z, we need to make these politicians give us a reason to vote. We shouldn't be blindly voting for someone based on the party you align with. Thats what our parents did and look what it got them. We need to stop that. I wish we would go back to when people treated others like humans regardless of party. People today need to know who you vote for before having a conversation or judging you. Why cant we just judge each other based on character not a political party?

I think a lot of people have lost their minds and are super tribal about politics. The 2 party system lies and they don't even care about us. All politicians lie and dont follow through with promises they make.

Im done with politics unless an independent comes along that makes sense for me to vote for them. As of now, no politician really cares about us and they dont deserve our vote. Non voters have the power.

They charged my card $170 but don’t have record of it.

Someone please help me. I just paid my extra space storage unit bill of $170. I went thru paid via card. No confirmation email and when I go to the front page it’s as if I didn’t pay it.

I called the local office and they see no payment on my account but my bank account clearly shows the money taken by them.

Should I wait for them to process or what? It usually says approved and confirmation number but now it’s nothing. I’m scared and pissed.

2 games in a row I’m up big but opponent pauses then I get kicked for “inactivity “

I’m pissed 2 games in a row I’m winning big and they pause in the 4th quarter and all of a sudden I lose for inactivity. wtf is going on?

Why is this happening. Obviously I’m not inactive I played the whole game. But when opponents aren’t active it takes 4 plays for the game to give me the win and end the game. wtf is happening. I’m so pissed right now. How do I stop this? Are they hacking ?

My sister lost her job offer and won’t listen to me when I tell her to give back her $700 monthly car she got immediately after the job offer.

My sister got a Mercedes 2 weeks ago under pretenses of a job offer. It’s a $700 a month car note. She then lost the job offer because of some licensing issue.

I’m telling her to go back and give back the car and then she can get another one once she has a job.

She keeps saying no she’s gonna apply and find another job, etc. and is in Dallas with her boyfriend who also doesn’t work but does track for a living.

She isn’t listening when I suggest to give the car back. I want the best for her. Am I tripping for thinking it’s dumb to keep an expensive car with no job? I’m not saying don’t get one, I just think she should give it back and cancel the loan for now( they give a week or so) and get another car when she has official employment.
