External Transformer on Ecobee (essential, enhanced or premium)

Since Ecobee thermostats do not have separate Rc and Rh terminals, do they support using an external transformer for power? Thx!

Smart Thermostat - 1 system w/ 3 zones

I have a 3-zone HVAC system:

  • Zone 1 (main): 5 wires
  • Zone 2: 3 wires
  • Zone 3: 4 wires

I want to replace the Zone 1/main thermostat with a smart Wi-Fi thermostat (ecobee, Nest, Honeywell, etc.).

The main thermostat currently controls the system mode (AC or Heating).

Can I replace it with a smart thermostat? If so, would ecobee, Nest, or Honeywell work with this setup?

Thanks!

Business class movie list: Rationale?

Curious, what’s the rationale for having a dedicated movie list for Business Class? It’s not as though it costs more to stream the same content for the entire plane.

After ANA's The Room and JAL's new BC on A350-1000, SQ feels dated

13 years later, SQ’s Business Class hard product is definitely due for an upgrade to stay competitive.

Still love SQ. Flew on four A350 LH and ULR flights over the past three weeks, but after flying ANA’s The Room and JAL’s BC on A350-1000, it’s hard not to notice the gap. 😅

Looking forward to the new BC product rolling out next year. Hopefully, it’ll be worth the wait!

Sheraton Surabaya - Indonesia

While exploring Indonesia, found a very decent Sheraton where the top two floors used to be the owner’s penthouse, but they’ve recently been turned into a lounge that opened just last month.

SilverKris Lounge (SIN) Shower Queue Around 7 PM

Will be flying from NYC to CGK next week with a 5-hour layover in Singapore for a quick meeting.

Anyone know what the shower wait time lately at the SilverKris Lounge between 7–9 PM

Last time, when I had an evening departure to FRA, the shower waitlist was almost 2 hours 👀

Trying to plan ahead this time. Thanks!

JFK - Is Global Entry Slower Than Regular Passport Line?

On two separate trips over the past few months, we arrived at JFK during day time and in both instances, a single immigration officer was responsible for processing both GE and diplomats.

Because diplomats were consistently prioritized and their processing did take longer, the Global Entry line moved slower than the standard passport control line.

Do other airports having the same issue? Has anyone experienced the same at JFK?

Update: Adding more detail Terminal 1
