When your nine-year-old wants a perm and highlights. You

  1. Say no because they are in elementary school , and it's too many chemicals.
  2. Do it.
  3. When the perm turns out poorly, you record your kid everyday while they're upset, embarrassed, and don't want their classmates to see their hair.

Magnolian Pig

My Department Head's aunt died. She wanted to make sure the pig didn't end up in the dumpster or donated into the unknown.

Welcome Ophelia Hamantha Pygmalion aka Hammie or Ms. Pygmalion.

Tuxie is barely bigger than a kitten.

Don't fall for this! She's a feisty and tough girl. She even enjoys going to the vet for fun!

Good show at representing talents and short-comings.

One thing that I like about the show is that is kids all have strong points and shortcomings, but they aren't used to explain a disability or disorder. They are all regular kids attending school and treated as such.

A few examples:
Fern is an advanced writer but struggles with self esteem and shyness.
George is Dyslexic, but he is excellent at carpentry.
Binky struggles with academics and needs a tutor, but he is the best musician in school.
D.W is verbally gifted, but her temper tantrums make her difficult to live with.
Brain is deemed the smartest kid in class, but had to be held back because he was deemed immature for crying all the time in kindergarten.
Francine is the best at sports, but struggles with anger management.

I could go on.

*I know Carl is Autistic and Marina blind, but they were brought in several seasons in and aren't the regular characters.

Prim and Goat are best friends:

Unless there is only one person at home to pet them.

I woke my human up by jumping on her stomach.

I've been meowing and trying to nip her all day. I also hissed at my sister.

I'm still my mommy's favorite.

I met Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch

He's at the puppet museum in Atlanta. Its his 1996 version? I can't believe this was used as a prop on a major TV show.

Switch for dummies

The last video game system I owned was a Nintendo 64. That was 30-years-ago.

I got a Switch yesterday. Can someone get me the most basic information on what to know? I can figure out things like how to access internet game, play with others, download games etc.

I'm even having trouble figuring out what the letters on the controllers are and what to use to run and jump in the Mario Universe. I have two months to kill in the summer, so I have no problem spending time to learn it.

Normally, I'm one to snark at these families

But I'm weirdly proud of Maddie for growing up and exceeding all of our expectations with school. Nobody expected that when she was 16.

Does anyone remember any Disney shows that most people have forgotten or never speak about?

As a kid, I loved Oomba Makomba.

I can't remember anyone speaking about this show past 1999 or so. I was so mad when that show was cancelled but Jeff Corwin stayed.
