This app is unusable without an ad blocker

Forgot to turn my ad blocker on. Just got hit with an ad that had literally no option to skip it or close it. No time counter, no X in the corner, literally the only button was to go to the company website. Tried the old trick where you click on the chat notification to return to the game, and get this screen. Well, at least my next hand would have been pretty good. Wonderful piece of software this is. Just give me a button to mute the stupid chat and let me close an ad.

Saw a new Kickstarter board game, feels very AI despite the protests from the creator

The way the main chef is holding the pot seems very unnatural, like he is making a fist below the handle, but I'm struggling to see more examples.

Was I too harsh during our session of Flip 7 last night?

Last night, me and a few others were playing Flip 7 and one guy in our group had never played it before and he has the bad luck so many times in getting almost 7 numbers then losing them after getting a duplicate.

We finished with him being the bottom scorer and he wasn't helped by the fact that on the two occasions I got a freeze card, I gave it to him.

Considering it was his first ever time playing Flip 7, I'm wondering if I might have been a bit too harsh giving him freeze cards when he had so few numbers.

Can a third party force a madness break?

Played a game recently with an Artist and a Pixie Artist. Pixie was adamant that they were the real Artist. Real Artist came out on Day 1 and said that they were the real Artist, had already asked their question, and the Pixie had to be the Pixie. Pixie denied this, claimed the Artist had to be lying. We execute the Artist, Pixie dies in the night, came continues.

End of game, had a very odd discussion with the storyteller. They said that it was unfortunate the Pixie died, but didn't matter since he wouldn't have gotten his ability. The Pixie was confused, as they never intentionally broke madness, and asked what they did wrong. ST replied that once the real Artist came out and accused them of being a Pixie, it created enough ambiguity about that the Pixie wouldn't get an ability. The Pixie (and now a good chunk of the rest of town) were now very confused, as I don't really know if that's how madness works. The Pixie adhered to madness; I was on the fence about which one was which. But the ST just said "well, sometimes things don't work out,".

Now, this had literally no effect on the game, so ultimately this is just to help me understand the concept. This feels very at odds with how the rules are written and how I've seen others run it. Can madness be broken solely by the actions of another player (ie calling out or undermining your bluff) even if you are making a sincere attempt to be mad? Can a Cerenovus just say "Boy, sure is weird that Jim was claiming one role all game and has just changed, bet he's just mad!" and get their target killed? Can the insinuation that your Pixie is a Pixie cause them to not get an ability even if they fight you? Do you have to convince a certain percentage of town that you aren't mad? Does town have to play along and publicly go along with the charade? I know madness is ultimately a judgement call, but it seems like a real "feels bad" move to have no control over whether you are adhering to madness or not.

Hey All,

Garage Sale season is upon us, and I feel like I'm constantly seeing signs for sales that happened just the day/weekend prior.
I have two questions.

  1. Is there a place to go to see a list of weekly yard sales? When I was a kid it was common to use the classified section of the newspaper, but those days are gone.

  2. If not, could we maybe do a weekly thread here to help track sales?
