how do u deal with the uncertainty?

the path is lengthy and expensive but the outcome is not guaranteed

what if i went through this path just to be rejected at the end

sorry if this sounds pessimistic

Starting Spravato in September — Looking for Positive Experiences (Especially for Anhedonia)

I'm in a pretty dark place right now and will be starting Spravato in September for treatment-resistant depression.

I know everyone's experience is different, but I'd really like to hear some positive stories to give me a bit of hope while I wait.

What improvements did you notice? How long did it take? Did it help you enjoy things again or make life feel more worth engaging in?

thanks in advance

is it worth it to discuss with my psychiatrist increasing the dose to 300mg

we have been on 150mg for maybe 2 months but im still symptomatic. i don't know if there is subtle change that im not noticing. i take a lot of meds it is hard to tell which one is doing what

have u noticed a significant difference changing from 150 to 300?

What do u think of the theory that says...

you feel more dopamine and pleasure from things like food, games, TV series.. other things supposed to be fun

you feel more dopamine if u are more fullfilled in other areas of your life (study, work, relationships,...)

suspicious addition by my psychiatrist...

so basically i suffer from depression which is mainly anhedonic with suicidal ideation

i have tried previously many serotogenic agents which only worsened the situation

i didn't tolerate a TCA before (imipramine) due to extreme sedation and constipation

also had emotional blunting persist with sexual dysfunction

it took so long to withdraw all serotonin meds and start me on non-serotonin regimen

currently i use : Bupropion, Methylphenidate, Lamotrigine, Cariprazine, quetiapine(low dose)

and also just finished my 2nd ECT course with 10 sessions

my psychiatrist decided the last 2 sessions will be better if done after a month

also he added to my regimen Clomipramine despite my history

I have another month for our next appointment

i wonder why he did that
