I used to think people were over exaggerating how good the oldest seasons of the show were.

But after finishing Battle of the Sexes last night, I finally see the hype!

The cast (other than Puck and maybe Emily) were all super rootable and fun to watch. Granted Puck was fun to watch on a drama level, but he’s a terrible person.

I had no clue who Ellen and Lori were before this season and now they’re both some of my Era 1 favs. Same goes with Melissa and Genesis, who just missed out on making the final. Also I now see why Ruthie got so much hype in her later seasons. She absolutely killed the dailies ! Ayanna was great as always and Tonya really surprised me that not only did she compete fairly consistently in the middle, but had support from the other girls and wasn’t bashed for no reason.

For the guys, I loved seeing Mark and Jamie get a much deserved win because I enjoyed them a lot on their later seasons. Colin also got a very deserved win, but he wasn’t as entertaining to me as some others like Blair, Shane, Dan, and Syrus were.

The daily challenges for the most part, were super fun and exciting. The only misses to me were the house building, paint ball, and the aquarium daily. I do know that Ellen said she felt the challenges were unfairly skewed to the guys, which is true to a decent extent, but I think the lack of unity is what really made the girls keep losing. Especially with the paint ball daily because had the girls listened to Ayanna’s strategy, they may have had a fighting chance.

The final was solid for what it was, but I just wish the girls had knocked their puzzle over because I feel they could have won.

I know one of the guys said that the girls finished the final 45 minutes after them, but with how clueless the guys seemed on the puzzle, it easily could have taken them that long to figure the puzzle out.

Even if it didn’t take them that long, I think if the girls had a little more time alone on the ropes course, they could have gotten far enough ahead to be able to not be decimated by the time the guys came through.

To me it seemed that when the guys came on the ropes course and started going flying through, the girls started to lose focus and make a lot more mistakes.

Finally, does anyone know what became of the Saturn Ion winner ?? 😂 She appeared in the reunion when Mark and Ruthie “drove” to Minnesota in her car to present it to her. Also we were never shown which username she was, so I’m not sure if she is one of the usernames in picture 9 or not.

I’ve been looking to get some authentic indigenous made jewelry for a while and am scared that I won’t be able to distinguish what is legitimate and what could be native-inspired but masquerading as authentic.

The seller says they sell only authentic pieces and list tribes the pieces are from, but I would appreciate some help on any tells and/or legitimate places I could buy a similar piece.
