Criminal case filed but travel ban yet. Can I travel?

I have posted the original case here: https://www.reddit.com/r/uaelaw/s/UvkJEH76r0

But basically I had an accident and the delivery driver put a criminal case, and I just visited the police station and they said there’s no travel ban as of yet. But it may happen in the coming days. My question is can I travel today? What will happen if I get a travel ban when I am outside the country? Will it create issues for reentry or is there risk of detention? What if the court assigns a date and I need to immediately available? How much prior does a court let us know when we need to appear?

Minor accident then criminal case

I met with an accident with a delivery driver and I was given the liable party report and a fine of 500 AED but a few days later the driver filed a criminal case and I was called to the police station. Now I have to travel in 2-3 days, will there be a travel ban? Also, what should I expect after this? What’s the entire process and how long? Will this case affect me in the future to get any jobs or anything like that?

Light period after chemical

So I had a chemical pregnancy last month and bled quite heavily for about a week afterward. Now I’ve gotten my period this month, but it’s extremely light—like I’m not even filling a single pad throughout the entire day. My periods are usually pretty normal, neither particularly heavy nor light, so this is very unusual for me. I’m wondering if this could be related to the chemical pregnancy and heavy bleeding last month, or if there could be another reason for such a light period. Has anyone experienced something similar in the cycle after a chemical pregnancy? Did your periods become unusually light, and if so, how long did it take for your cycle to return to normal? Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences or what you were told by your doctor.

How many of you would be ok to downgrade on salary if they were offered a Hydrid/WFH role?

As the title says. If you currently have a fully in-office job, would you take up a hydrid/wfh role but would have to take a lower salary?

What’s with the extremely long ads in recent games?!

So I thought of downloading a few new games, it’s been a long time since I tried out some new games. I understand that some games have ads, and all the games I have played previously had a maximum of 30 secs ads including unforced rewards ads. But these games which I recently downloaded, almost all of them had such long ads, some even as long as 120 - 180 secs!! I mean wtf! And mind you, these were unskippable ads. And all these games were completely different yet they had this one thing in common! And not just the length of the ad, but also the frequency of ads seemed to have increased. In one of the games which I played a few years ago (it was completely ad free that time), now gave me like atleast 4 ads within 2 mins and that too in between the gameplay. I mean has the market dipped so much or have people just become super greedy!!??

I also don’t mind paying for good games, but nowadays in the games, there’s only an option to remove forced ads but still to buy other game stuffs you do need to watch reward ads. And sometimes the game is completely unplayable or very difficult to progress if we don’t buy these extra items with ads.

Guess I am gonna stick to my old games only…huh😅

Elite sports residence or Seasons community JVC?

So we are finalizing our options for 2 BR for rent. We are confused between these 2 options anyone have any suggestions or feedback on these? Also open to other suggestions if anyone knows better places for rent, our budget is max 90k (can extend a bit if it’s chiller free).

Looking for 2 BR in JLT, JVT, Barsha Heights, Marina, or surrounding areas. Budget 95k

As suggested in the title. Our move in date is end of august (non flexible). It’s for family. If it’s chiller free or all bills included then we are ok to expand the budget.

Appeal to modest fashion brands to please consider sizing for us petite girlies too!💝

Whenever there’s modest fashion, most of the times I see oversized loose clothing (which I agree is necessary), but it simply doesn’t fit us petite girls. We kinda completely drown in those attires even if we pick the smallest size, because usually they aren’t made for smaller frames. Either they are way too long, way too long sleeves, too loose, or too oversized, which kinda makes us look even more smaller and bulky. If any muslim/modest fashion brand is listening, then I would request them to please consider size inclusive clothing! 💖💖

PS: If you know of brands who do make well-fitted modest clothes for petite women then do comment!💝💖

Can I get a work permit from another employer if I have Freezone Investor license?

So basically I was thinking of registering my business through SHAMS freezone and also get an investor visa through it. But I also want to temporarily work for another employer who is set up in the mainland and that employer will need to make a work permit for me. I know that earlier it was possible to give NOC and work for another company. But I heard that currently freezones have stopped giving NOCs. I wanted to check if this is true and if it is even possible in some sense that I could register my business but still work for another employer?

When are we going to stop asking female candidates about their “family plans” in interviews?!

Rant on the kind of questions asked to a female:
I have given multiple interviews in the past few months and even before that. And unfortunately there’s been more than one instance where the interviewer has asked personal questions like “Are you planning to have a kid soon?”. I mean WTF?! And one interviewer even went ahead and actually asked me not to do any family planning at least for a year because they need people to work, like what??!!

While I do understand that businesses may need to fill in someone in case of things like Maternity leaves, but asking this question specifically to a married female candidate who is not even currently pregnant is completely absurd and inappropriate, and that the fact is that it is not even that uncommon!

We are moving towards Women’s Rights and Human Rights but still feel the need to differentiate women based on our bodies and things which could be out of our control. Who gives the recruiters the right to ask such personal questions?! If I am sitting at an interview then of course, I am physically well to take up the job.

And I do not want to mention this, but I have faced this issue particularly with certain nationalities only (not going to mention which). So I don’t know if it’s a cultural issue or a mindset issue or both. But it needs to change!

Is the UAE Child Kafala system available to non-emiratis too?

Me and my spouse are looking to adopt/foster a child, we are both Muslims. I know the law earlier was for Emiratis only, but I heard that they changed it and now non-emirati UAE residents can also adopt from UAE under the Kafala system. Is this possible? And if yes, then is anyone aware of the process?

Looking 2BR below 80k, any area is ok in Dubai

Hi, I am looking for a 2BR in Dubai below 80K. I am fine with any area, but would prefer anything in the South rather than areas like Al Nahda, Deira, Bur Dubai. Looking to move in September.
