New joiners / Laptop + TV -> What's best

Hey guys !

I need your help regarding a future set-up for my stepfather.

He is currently ordering some new Sim racing gear to try from scratch and I told him, the best possible way to optimize the current installation would be :

- Steam + Game pass + Geforce Now

So he doesn't need to invest right now in either a console or a PC high end

I just want to be sure I'm covering everything correctly and I need your help and experience to do so :

- He's buying a new TV, guess 4K so it will probably be limited to 60hz/fps which is enough for him now

- He has a laptop, I don't know yet the specs of it, I will ask

And I thought, why not take the Ultimate Geforce Now for 1 month -> Plug the Laptop with HDMI to the TV and boom

But will it works flawlessly ?

Thanks a lot !

LG OLED 4K / Image not crisp / not sharp

Good afternoon !

I need your help guys because I’m a bit disappointed with how things are running :

- host : Pc plugged with fiber / 4090 GTX / Run 4k / Vibepollo

- client : Aurora on LG C5

I setup Vibepollo as someone did here I guess but I’m lacking a lot of options I guess…

Indeed, in Aurora, I set everything up to 4k, 90 FPS, I plugged the TV also and have between 230-250mbs

But the quality in game doesn’t look like 4k and isn’t as Crisp / sharp as on my OLED monitor,

I was wondering if you could help ? Maybe I forgot something,

It looks like 2k and sometimes HD id say, definitely not 4k

- P4 preset
- Windows graphics capture (constant)
- NVENC
- Virtual desktop / Double refresh rate

Other than that, I did not touch anything so maybe something is wrong

Thanks a lot for your help…

New future owner / questions

Hi dear fellas !

I’m building my next project which will be in replacement of what I have today :

- M4 Comp from 2021

I’m looking at the Iron Man / Tony Stark dream car which is the R8 :

- it will be my daily

So I have a few questions for the owners :
- how’s this car as a daily ? I’m mainly doing 15km/day 3 times a week to work and sometimes I’m doing 300+300km to see my family a few times a year basically below 10k/year

- I love the car play but apparently it’s not possible in the R8, is it true ?

- from an engine / exhaust perspective : which one would you recommend ? The 2016 ones or the 2019 ones ?

Thanks a lot, it will mainly be for 1 year as a pleasure

Question / New C5 / no speakers / Shield/AppleTv/Lost

Hello guys !

I spent some time looking for the most accurate answers, unfortunately, I haven’t found the exact same case as me so let’s hope you can help me, fellow users and experts of OLED !

I just received my new C5 and jeez, coming from an old TCL, it is definitely something

I set up everything with :
- PS5 pro
- PC using Aurora / Moonlight to stream video games from my PC (works perfectly, just need to plug it with Ethernet)
- Plex server with the WebOs App to watch 4K movies/series

I don’t have speakers yet, I’m not really familiar with the technical side of TV and everything related to it

I read Apple TV is good, shield pro is good but I was wondering :

Why are they so good ? Is it really an enhancement regarding video quality compared to the TV itself and its applications, for example Plex ?

I’d say I’m looking for the easiest / good looking way to have the perfect setup to watch 4K / Remuxes on my TV

And also, try to add some speakers to it without spending 1-2k$ on it so if you have any recommendations also ? I’m in an apartment, main room is 25m2, nothing to loud is necessary

Thanks a lot for your help !

New TV > want the best > 4K remux

Hi everyone !

Please don’t throw some rocks at me,

I will receive my brand new C5 on Tuesday and I want to get deep into the 4K movies / series

I heard about a lot of things and I’m kind of overwhelmed :
- plex / Infuse
- streamio
- Remux
- I do have a real debris subscription because I’m used or download movies somewhere “zone téléchargement”

Unfortunately I know close to nothing and don’t want to get scammed

From my perspective, what would be the best way to get into it ? Looking for some 4K movies so heard about the Remux ?

Both PC and TV will be on Ethernet / Fiber

Thanks a lot for your help..

Moonlight / Apollo VS GFN for beginner

Evening everyone !

I need your help to resolve my issue and struggle I have.

This is the context :

I’m not a tech guy / I own a main rig with 4090 / will receive a LG C5 next week / I have the internet fiber

Im looking for an easy solution :
- I have a steamdeck and want to have my library with the best possible quality
- I want to be able to play on my next TV (C5 LG) my Steam / Xbox libraries
- if possible, when I’m not at home but at family and have internet / fiber I’d like also to play on my steamdeck with the best quality

I tried GFN and loved it with my steamdeck, it’s easy, beautiful and I can launch it from anywhere
On the TV, there is also apparently a native app so it will work
There is a big sale going on BUT

I read a lot of things this evening about : Apollo and Moonlight as it could be the best of the 2 worlds

I have it on my steamdeck but probably did not setup properly in the past because quality was awful (sunshine and moonlight)

I saw on the LG tv I can have the Moonlight app as well,

So from you guys, what is the best solution for my case ?

I want something easy, plug and play

Thanks a lot for your input

First sim rig / need help

Hi everyone,

I will try to not be boring :

- I’m looking to begin the sim racing world
- I don’t have space for a complete rig
- don’t want to overkill it as I may not like it the way I want
- want to try a wheel stand first
- I’m at the age where I have the chance to buy what I want so I want to please myself

Big question :
Of course, due to FH6, everyone is talking about wheels, sim racing, etc…

As I love FH6, I was wondering if there are some other games, maybe allowing you to do some free roam ? I looked at AC of course, but seems to be mainly races ?

I play on PC,

I’m aiming for :
Moza R3 bundle
Next level racing 2.0 wheel stand

I’m deep into the « best image quality possible » so I’m also looking at VR (Beyond screen 2, Pimax etc) but first thing is to know if I will like it

Do you have some recommendations for a really beginner ?

New gaming device + SD Oled

Hi everyone !

Alright with everything going on and 2 years with my beloved Steamdeck,

I'm beginning to check the other competitors because of multiple reasons :
- Size of screen
- Performance on AAA games

Are the 2 obvious one for me

I don't mod, I'm not a dev, I don't dig into my SD, I just play with GFN and when I'm traveling. I'd love to actually play my AAA games with some decent graphics hence my question

From your perspective, what would be the best pick ? Not to replace it but to have an other one.

Thanks a lot for your help,

New buyer Pro : Quality image horrible

Good evening fellas,

Alright, I’m having a real problem and just don’t know what to do. It’s been 2 hours and I’m not having the blast of my life with the glasses.

I was kind of amazed on how videos looked on iPhone and YouTube in 4K but I tried on the steam deck and god it’s awful, blurry, like a 720p games…
So I tried to stream it from my high end pc, exactly the same, really bad quality,

Do you know maybe what I do wrong ?

I switched nose pads, setup my IPD and lense support, in anchor mode or the other, it’s really bad,

Do you know if maybe I do something wrong or miss something ?

Of course I wasn’t expecting the same image quality of my OLED tv or Monitor but still, not that bad

Thanks a lot, I’m still excited but if I think I’m missing something

Xreal Pro / First time buyer / Need help

Hi everyone !

Alright, I'm lurking on these glasses and especially with the new that are coming out. Unfortunately, the main difference is the dock coming with only the new ones.

My main needs will be :
- Gaming in my couch so either from Steam Deck or a Mini ATX I'm building aside
- Gaming will traveling on plane or train or car with the steam deck

What are your thoughts on this please ? I want to avoid making a bad buying choice...

And also, for those who play with steamdeck, do you play locally or sharing cloud with your main pc ?

Thanks a lot guys !

3a / 3b > Stock investing ? Beginner

Morning guys,

I’m struggling as I don’t have enough experience and I kind of read everything and it’s contrary so I really need your help.

Of course Helsana shared with me some 3a-3b option and thanks to you, I will say no to focus on Finpension.

BUT

I’m a huge fan of the stock investment / compound interest as I only did that even in France and now in Switzerland.

I want to optimized everything the best I can and I want to have your feedback between :

- keep the maximum amount you can invest in the pillar to 7Xxx CHF > deduct it to your taxes

- put this amount in the stock investment

Which one is the best ?

Thanks a lot,

Morning dear Fellas !!

I just received my first BMW ever, my dream and I had the chance to drive around 2.000km with it (mainly because I had to travel 800km to get her back home and 800 round trip to my family),

I was just wondering how much do you usually drive your bbeauty ?

I plan to keep her for at least 1 year / 1 year and half and I want to enjoy it as much as possible,

Am I the only one that doesn’t really care about how much miles / km I’m putting on it ?

Thanks a lot
