I'm struggling to hit the tone I'm looking for, so I'll ask you all for your opinions. I know some people still like using a pitch too, while other people will use the vocal configurations. I want to know what it is that you like best.

Alright, we're overanalyzing again. Also, I'm not going to be speculating on Brushista here.

The Steam page says gives two descriptions of The Abyss we'll be entering:

Beneath the surface lies a forgotten place full of abandoned sectors, failed systems, and creatures that were never meant to exist. These walls are colder, more volatile, and far less forgiving. Every step forward demands caution, because everything down here is watching.

Nothing is safe. Nothing is promised. The truth behind Banban’s Kindergarten is closer than ever, but reaching it means surviving a place that no longer follows logic. Keep moving, stay alert, and understand this: the deeper you go, the less of yourself comes back.

Then we have the quote from the bonus ending where we seeing The Nanny's eyes:

Your face is familiar... A long trip waits ahead. Turn back before the search becomes a trap. Leave the abyss untouched. It does not forgive curiosity.

So, that's what this blabbing is based on, and of course the trailers we've seen.

What is The Abyss? : Well, it's being described as a "forgotten place of abandoned sectors, failed systems and creatures that were never meant to exist". It's far more abandoned than the other places we've been. These places were meant to be more empty, more secure and off limits. Whatever else is down was never meant to come out, even more so than the others like Toadster and Bittergiggle.

What's "the truth behind Banban's Kindergarten"? : The apparent "truth behind Banban's Kindergarten" doesn't seem to be about school mascots anymore. There's no way a kindergarten could have such big funding and such facilities. I believe there's a much bigger investor with an original darker purpose for the Givanium. I think that while the mascots were an important thing and maybe bonus, I think now that the mascots were mainly testing and a front for the real purpose of the labs working with Givanium. These "creatures that were never meant to exist" are probably outside the bounds of what the Kindergarten presented.

Nothing be "safe" or "promised" : We've been looking for our child, who we were originally assured were 'safe' due to Stinger Flynn's needing of them, but he's been separated. There was supposed to be a grown up with them, Ms. Mason based on our child's notes, but we don't know if she is still with them. If they're that far down, they might not be safe. The "promise" that we'd be able to find them may just be lost.

"The deeper you go, the less of yourself comes back" : This place is meant for things that are never meant to see the light. The deeper you go in the facility is like a spiral, it changes you. You're seeing things that weren't mean to be seen. You can't forget what you'll see, what you've already seen. There seems to be the unspoken motto of "what goes into The Abyss stays in The Abyss".

"Turn back before the search becomes a trap" : Our search is causing us to walk into a trap. I don't think it was ever a trap meant for people, but for the out of hand situations they wanted to hide. Creatures that needed to be secret, research and the truth of what Givanium could be and who came up with the idea. It ties back to "the truth". Sometimes, the truth is a trap. Our search for a child is leading us into a trap, we're so focused on our child that we're not even realizing how far we've gone. The loss of our kid, the grief and determination to find them, is a trap in itself.

"Leave the abyss untouched. It does not forgive curiosity" : No one is meant to go down into The Abyss. Once you're in, you won't come back. Whatever is down there will destroy you

"Your face is familiar..." : This is hard for me to really speculate on. Obviously, we're recognized, but why? It's possible we worked there, and that now that could be a big part of the hostility, but while The Nanny seemed to recognize us (at least in the quote) it seemed like other characters like Banban, Toadster, Bounceilia didn't recognize us. That gives me two ideas: We either only worked the top floor of the Kindergarten and had no clue, or that we were involved with the deeper truth.

I think we were involved on a deeper level. So deep that the majority of the experiments never even saw us. There's parts of the facility some experiments haven't been to, so it's possible we worked there and never had interactions. And while we are just a player in the game, we seem awfully competent when handling the Givanium for making Nabnaleena. Yes, we had a guide, but still, it makes me suspicious.

And that is me overanalyzing these quotes. Please feel free to share your own thoughts, or add onto to what I'm thinking about.

This is long, so bear with me.

To start, The Nanny was one hell of scare. I don't think any of us were expecting something like that to happen, even if just as a secret bonus ending. And while it's not the 'real' or 'official' ending, I think it's probably really important anyways. Maybe it's just because we're all eager for the new chapter to drop, or that we don't want to think about how creepy The Nanny was, but I feel like that part is getting glossed over a bit.

PART ONE: The Nanny eating the plushies. It's something that can just be written off and creepy and unsettling, one character eating all the other ones. This is something no one probably predicted ever seeing considering how calm the earlier appearance in Chapter 4 was. We see them eating the plushies of Jumbo Josh, Banban, Banbaleena, Opila Bird and Stinger Flynn one right after the other with no hesitation. The Nanny had no issue with eating and possibly figuratively disposing of the other characters. But right at the end, that suddenly changes.

PART TWO: The Nanny has a far different reaction when presented with the plushie of Captain Fiddles. Obviously, they're refusing and freaking out over seeing it. While it could be a shock/scare factor, I think there's more to it. The Nanny is refusing to eat the plushie of Captain Fiddles. Clearly, that idea is sending them into a freak out. Hell, I'd even say they're angry about it.

I think it comes right down to the name: The Nanny. Nannies are the ones who look after children, they take care of them. In the case notes we see Captain Fiddles described as "very obedient human toddler" along with the alias saying "The Child-Monkey". I wonder if compared to all the others, The Nanny views Fiddles completely differently. Captain Fiddles isn't another monster, it's a child. While all the other characters we fed her obviously have their issues such as aggression or wanting to even use the kids, Captain Fiddles as so far seemed to be a 'perfect case' and was the only one approved for Bring a Friend Day.

It looks like The Nanny, the kind of name for one that would be given the task of caring for children, clearly has an issue eating the character that is described as acting like a small child. The others can be seen as threats, but Fiddles was overall a 'good kid'.

Anyways, take my view with a grain of salt. This is just something I haven't seen discussed here on Reddit too much and wanted to toss it out. Can't wait to over analyze the end quote next.

Alright, this is me probably hoping for something we probably won't get, but I'm gonna babble about it for a bit anyhow.

Now, obviously we see Banbaleena fall into the Givanium vat at the end of Chapter 8, and I think some people just assumed she had died. I know I did. But, now that I think about it, a part of me wonders if we're going to see her again. We already know that added Givanium can bring out a 'Hellish' version, as we saw it when Banban injected Nabnab with it at the end of Chapter 6. So, even though Banban's 'Hellish' form comes from his temper, we know that extra Givanium triggers it too.

We saw Banban and Flumbo fall into the vats and have come out as the 'Unnamed Devilish Amalgamation' (from what I've seen it called on the wiki). I think the only reason they would've merged together was since they were holding hands and went in together at the same time. Flumbo threw him over the railing, and Banban held ona and dragged him down

And yes, Banbaleena did fall into the same vat as well, but she didn't fall in with someone else at the same time. I think that would cause a mutation to be singular instead of her merging with Banban and Flumbo.

I think it'd be cool if she made a surprise appearance with a new form since we never had a 'Hellish' version of her before. It's true she had an 'enraged' version with red eyes, but I wouldn't call it a full 'Hellish' mode. I wonder if maybe she's being kept some secret the by Euphoric Bros in order to give us a 'surprise' alongside having to fight the merged Banban and Flumbo.

I also kind of want to see a normal, grown Banbaleena with Flumbo and Banban. I assume now things are going to be real tense at least with Banban considering what he and Syringeon did, obviously using her as bait and dumping her was crappy and honestly would be a trust breaker. However, I wonder how she'd react to Flumbo, since she didn't seem to be awake/aware when they had her strung up. I wonder how she'd feel seeing after so long, and since I think he has a crush on her (he did have a heart doodled by her drawing in the closet) how he'd be.
