Left my crockpot on low on top of an upside down cookie sheet to protect my countertops. Is this a bad idea in anyway? Noticed that there was some heat on the countertop after it was running on high for about an hour, so decided that it would be safer to place it on an upside down cookie sheet. Would’ve put it on the stove but the outlet sets too high for the power cord to reach.
