Is it just me or can I feel Starfield making more conversations all around than I expected after the Bethesda posts!?

This game is so great even with the negatives.
The gaming news and media just slaughtered this game and it never got the chance it deserved.

Sure the things they pointed out were true to a degree but if you just give it time, this is a Bethesda game through and through! And I LOVE IT WITH ALL MY HEART!

Many of us Skyrim and oblivion fans are old sci-fi nerds too. And to have “Skyrim in space” is a true fantasy come to life!!!

Again I understand the complaints…but all they have to do if figure out those couple things (loading screens blah blah,)(stuttering! for real fix it)and they would have the foundation of a true masterpiece quality game franchise

Not to mention a massive Juggernaut threesome!

By no means am I asking for any kind of load order.

Just starting a cool conversation bc I’m new here.

I’m starting fresh for my first real playthrough modded, and it’s a Large LO.

I’m worried lol but it got me curious.

What are some of y’all’s big load orders.

Not the mods

How many….stable mods can realistically be pushed in Starfield. I understand it’s a nuanced question bc of all the types of mods, heavy textures, scripts, and so on.

But just as a general question to the audience…

What are you guys pushing👍🏼

Hey guys, loving the g-17x mod. It seems fairly popular, but I can’t seem to find a patch for it and magnetic holsters. Am I just missing it or does it not exist? Does it just need to be ported? I’m still fairly new to modding Starfield.

Are there any mods that’s change the “three speed walking” profile to a full walking gradient like Skyrim?

It just feel so much more natural than feeling like I’m choosing which “gear” i need to be in.

Also I see a bunch of resolution output mods.

Do any of them actually work? Do any of them loon decent and allow me to run a smoother 60fps in the bigger cities and hot spots?

If I download high res texture packs does it kill performance also?

I’ve been modding Skyrim on Xbox one and series x for years. I love the soul eating rabbit hole just as much as the next person. It consumes my life for long periods of time (bad thing bc I’m a 41 yr old dad with a house , wife and 3 kids😬) lol
My current LO is close to 300 strong and 60fps “almost” everywhere.

I’ve been shelving this game (Starfield) since it came out. I played about 6 hours. Then moved on to someone but never because I hated it. I was in the middle of several games that just hit better at the time tho I always watched it from the sidelines to stay up to date with the creations side of it.

Now I understand it’s in the best place that it’s been in a while with plenty of space to stretch our CAREFUL modding legs.

So….as a new comer.

What should I know baseline about the current scene. Any MAJOR key points to watch out for such as older versions vs newer “UPDATED” versions so I don’t brick up my entire menu and UI. Mod authors to watch out for bc they don’t update or support anymore. Major outlying conflicts and compatibility issues for any reason.

You know, what’s the down low lol

Also if I can bug you all great pple for one more thing…..

A simple list of 10-20 MUST HAVE MODS.
To accomplish updated textures for landscape, architecture, vehicles, npcs, lighting both interior and exterior.

An updated one stop shop to modernize this game with visuals, performance and compatibility in mind.

Elsopa’s HD steel plate armor

To a finished state so it can easily be downloaded.

It is hands down the best looking steel plate armor I have seen and I want it so badly….Ive wanted it for LONG time now.

If ANYONE can do this, I would be forever in your debt.

A quick way to un-equip items such as helmets, masks and such.

Maybe when you’re in the wheel there is a dedicated un-equip button.

Or you can “quick flip” your joystick to it like you can with the lantern, to un-equip.

That way, if you’re anything like me , you don’t have have to cycle through thirty-two helmets to get to the empty slot because you refuse to put any of them away lol

I bought the GOTY edition a while back. Didn’t know all this was going on. Didn’t see any of the DLC installed, my mods menus were acting up, and I noticed there weren’t many GBs for storage.

I know this extra space hasn’t dropped yet but I’m wondering have they fixed all the other crap so this expansion actually means something?

I’m checking this thread 15 times a day just like the rest of you and I notice all the people who would love to see a highlighted path on the mini map leading you towards the destination.

DON’T PLEASE!

Or at least give me option to turn it off if you do kindly.

I feel like it would detract from the more natural feel of the exploration and having this yellow or whatever color road on my mini map would just remind me of GTA or something( tho I’m aware many games do it, just and example) I’m also aware that this game borrows from many others so what’s just one more but still no thank you.

I actually love the fact that if I’m riding my horse into uncharted territory, IM NOT SURE If this is the right path. Just like you wouldn’t in real exploration. If you make a wrong turn, guess what big guy, go back and try again. Learn something. See something new and unintended but wonderful! That’s the entire point of the game being built the way it is.

So…if you do give them the highlighted path, at least let me turn it off.

On your hip. The logging axe can clearly be seen worn on the hip and it look bad ass. Though when I switch to anything (except swords) one handed he just puts it in his “pocket”. Clubs, axes, maces and some super cool uniques just go into a pocket but would look SOOO good on the go of Kliff. They would show off your work and compliment different builds and looks! Even dual wielding while showing BOTH on the hip at the same time!

Man it would look good!!!!

I’ve played just about every major RPG/ action adventure game there is.

Here is my very simply phrased analysis….

Let me pre-phase this, I don’t mind the controls, in fact I wish I had the option to remove HUD bc I’m used to them by now. Also, the story doesn’t bother me. There are plenty of shallow but amazing games out there. That being said… here it is.

The controls are complicated but the story is not…..Switch the two and you would likely have the best game ever created.
