Heres a rare species, Zektzerite is almost exclusively found in Washington, it has this cream to light pink color that is absolutely amazing. This crystal is THICK coming in at 7mm thick and about 13mm tall. It is translucent and semi gemmy on the side. Under uv it shows its signature blue white glow and the microcline shows an interesting dark crimson.
Species: Zektzerite (with Microcline)
Origin: Washington Pass
Size: 13 x 9 x 7 mm

Dont use Instagram all that much so I just use the website. This popped up today and has been this way for hours, not sure whats going on, anyone else having this issue?
When ever Benitoite is talked about, its inevitably mentioned that its "only found in California", however this is not true. California is and will likely forever be the best/premier locale for it, however it is found in a handful of other places, notably Japan. This example is grainular Benitoite in matrix, though full crystals have been found at a different Japanese locale (Ohmi River) as well. All the tiny little blue specs are Benitoite. This locale is not yet listed on Mindat, however this piece came from an analyzed batch of material confirming it is Benitoite.
It my be hard to believe for Sugilite fans, but the original Sugilite from its type local (Iwagi Island, Japan) was a very unattractive yellow brown color (shown in close ups). This piece is also accompanied by a rare mineral called Katayamalite (type locale also Iwagi Island), the Katayamalite glows a bright blue under short wave uv (shown in uv pic). These two are on an Albite matrix that glows a bright red pink color, that also has black specs of Aegirine.

I just got in 3 micromount examples of the highly elusive species Henmilite! Henmilite is only found in one mine, the Fuka Mine in Japan. This species is so incredibly rare nowadays because the mine is, and has been for a while, extremely restricted, with the only outside access granted to 1 single university in Japan. I got these specimens directly from Japan, they make for awesome example pieces, and even better, they are cheap! Typically when you see examples being sold outside of Japan, they are incredibly expensive, but Im selling these at Japanese prices right here in the states!

Can't get a good picture, but basically, I was testing some stones, one of them had a weird reading. The RI checked out as what I was expecting, but the area above the RI line was white with rainbows. The reading it self was pretty clear, but Ive never seen this happen before, anyone know what causes it?
Definitely a crazy locale to say the least, this piece was collected during the Ganovex I mission back in 1979/80.
Heres a nice example set of German Hauyne. Prized for its electric blue color, the material from the Eifle region of Germany is top notch. This set has a handful of rough crystals and 3 faceted gemstones. The facets are around 1.5mm each

Finally found a specimen, definitely not one thats common or easy to find as the species tends to only form tiny crystals. This one comes out of a some what recent find in Afghanistan.β

To sweeten the deal on this Hauyne, I will throw in a neat 0.45ct pink to purple hackmanite from the same find. I also do split payments (no extra fees) meaning, you can pay portions of it over time if you dont have it all up front.

When you think of hackmanite, you typically think of dull purple changing to dark purple, or you may even think of the rarer orange specimens. This however is a rather peculiar example of a bright pink to dark purple change. This piece also has nice clarity for the species.

Not a variety you see practicly at all, Ive personally seen less than ~50 specimens of various quality and size. More often than not these are more green tinged, making true yellows quite rare. Theres only 2 examples that have prices disclosed publicly (averaging $2600/ct) and I reached out to a Japanese dealer who sold some to a private collector and they said they had theirs at $3000/ct. I can guarantee you will not find any others of this size+quality any time soon, this piece would make a great collection piece or a great item to flip.

Heres a variety you dont see hardly at all any more. This Chrome Bearing Clinochlore shows a nice green color in white light, and a bright red purple under incandescent. These specimens where only found once 30 years ago in the Saranovskii Mine of Russia. If you look closely, you will see another interesting aspect, tiny neon green crystals of Titanite, this example has 3.

The largest crystals near the bottom are dark green and blue, while the cluster of small crystals on top are purple & blue!
