Quick help for a beginner, what should i be packing healing wise?

Went ahead and bought the supporters edition and i. Enjoying my time so far quite a bit. Game could use a bit of a "de-clunkification" patch to make it a touch smoother to play, but overall a very fun and intense and immersive game. Im still early enough that im fine with straight up deleting my character if i die and lose all my cool supporter stuff, to restart with said stuff if i lose it.

Anyways, one thing im still bit unsure about is precisely *what* i should be bringing along with me in terms of healing. My slow and methodical playstyle means i haven't actually *needed* any healing.... ***YET.***

All it takes is one fight going bad and oh no! I forgot the anal cream or something and now ive lost everything. So please, what should i bring?

I know ammo and weapons and gear, well, you basics anyways. If there is any particularly useful gear or tools you should have on if love to know about those as well.

So.... Will I like this game as a pure solo player who has been long looking for a solo friendly tactical game?

Edit: Alright i got it lol. And yeah, taking my time now, no 2 hour limit, and its starting to click more. I got the supporters edition and i don't really regret it. I'm still in a period where i'm just going to use whatever i want but im going to reset if i lose to much of the supporter stuff to early. After awhile though i won't do that and ill eat the loss. Any tips for critical stuff i should i always be bringing? I understand a lot of minutiae with stuff, for example i knew about NGV-Sight compatibility beforehand and was happy to see that was an option, and i knew how to interact with the inventory to equip things like NVGs i n the first place, or to configure your weapon. As a quick aside, it would have been nice to include literally one single extra MLOK rail piece in the supporters edition lol. Just need to know what i should be bringing, especially in terms of survival.

Love the OG Ghost Recon games, love the entire ArmA series, love Ready or Not. Love playing slow paced tactical games. But all of those games each have glaring problems that make them fall short as far as the solo experience goes. OG Ghost Recon is old, ArmA is more of a multiplayer game and struggle to deliver a polished single player experience, and Ready or Not is amazing... as a close quarters CQC SWAT experience, not a large open field experience.

I bought the game on sale and put 107 minutes into and i enjoyed it. I died but it was my fault, fortunately it was early enough that'll ill just reset my character, if i go back to it.

I have zero interest in playing PvP or Co-Op. When i say solo i mean it.

And if the base game is worth it what about the various editions? I know that if you die with the stuff equipped you lose it, I'm fine with it since you get it again with resets. But are any of the version worth it?

What is the best version of Jak X?

I have it on PS5 and i can get it for the PCSX2 since i still have my old original PS2 copy after all these years. The game runs super well on the PS5 and looks pretty decent to boot. But as im going through the whole game again with OpenGOAL its nice to have everything in one place.

Can you make the game look just as good as the version the PS5 uses? I'm not actually sure if it's some kind of PS3 version of the game that is simply compatible with the PS5.

If you can make it look good how do you do so? What are the setting do you use?

How do you use the new secrets in OpanGOAL for Jak 2? And how do you use the debug menu for cheats for Jak 2 and 3?

I never really got far in Jak 2 when i was younger because i just plain struggled, mostly thanks to the awful checkpoints. Turns out im still struggling to play even all these years later. I've decided that for particular trouble areas i will use cheats. It's my playthrough i can do what i want. Mainly i plan on only using it if i fail 10 time in the same general area, which has now happened lol.

[Book Spoilers] Just realized something that a tiny bit horrible that Grace avoided.

Just got the part where they are watching the launches for the hab module. When the other characters start referring to Grace as the "First Officer" of PHM. Grace is obviously befuddled and confused but what really struck me is how what we know from the end, that it is very likely that Stratt was made a scapegoat, in the wars and famine to follow they would obviously balme her for taking up so many resources and who else? While her super helpful if slightly confused "First Officer"! What's better than one scapegoat? Two scapegoats! I'm only on Chapter 18 in the book (the Hab launches) so im wondering if Grace wonders this as well, but right now it would have been a pretty raw deal since Grace isn't as "at peace" with the decisions being made.

Is there a way to STOP weapon XP gain in Rift Apart on PC?

Yes, stop XP gain. One of the smaller but no less easily one of my favourite things in Rift Apart is the animations that occur that when you hit an enemy with a weapon. From the way they get bounced around with the Ricochet, to how they get zapped or cut with the Lightning Rod and Buzzblade weapons, or how they just get blasted by the Executor. With the Blackhole Storm it's no different... Except when you max it out, now when you defeat an enemy they disappear in a large, screen obscuring blackhole. Powerful, useful, but no less not as fun as just riddling an enemy with bullets. I've already got 100 percent on the PS5 and as much as i love using the Blackhole Storm i get a super tiny pang of regret when all i get from an enemy kill is them being vaporized, i prefer them being ragdolled by the bullets. Now im on PC with mods and memory editors and stuff, the WAND tool has an editor for Weapon XP but you can only increase the multiple and not lower or remove it. Also for the Pistol, Blackhole Storm, and Headhunter i just flat out prefer how the un-upgraded versions look. So... there is that.

Struggling to enable XMP

I've been told my RAM speed is slow and that means something inst enabled. I've followed every guide i could find but i cant get it to enable in the BIOS. i select the Profile 1 A-XMP and it wont work, i manually set the speed to 3600 and the voltage to 1.35 and it just fails to boot. Most of the time the search results, reddit thread, or Gemini AI will tell me to enable a setting that isn't there, like "Extreme Memory Profile". Im in the "Advance: view of the BIOS menu btw.

So im up at my grandfathers cottage to help with yard work and stuff and im back in the basement. Oooohh the many *many* hours ive spent in this cozy basement making lego and playing classic XboX, seriously brings me back.

They now have this LG UHD Smart TV but when i hooked my PS5 up to it the picture is extremely dark. Im used to adjusting settings so i know what to do and how to do it, but no matter what i try i cant get it to even out. Jacking up the brightness obviously washes it out, the baclight is at 100, power saving is off. Ive been fiddling with, well, *everything* but i just cant get the brightness up. The games them selves have all been adjusted for the TV at home which i got to be just right so the settings in every tends to be the default since they dont need to be adjusted.

Also i think its up to date, auto updates are on, its connected to the internet, and it says no update found when looked for. It says its version 05.70.50 and the specific model is a "webOS TV UH6100"... i think.

I was listening to a bunch of long form critiques and retrospectives for Deus Ex Mankind Divided and one thing most of them have in common is that the DLCs for the game are given less the positive reviews. I can see why, especially with the two smaller ones, its flat out embarrassing that they were just sliced out of the game, the smallest of the bunch being particularly embarrassing. Even the prison break one could be inserted into the game in the form of an optional conversation with the therapist you can do at any time after Golam City. You would have a quest objective to go talk to her, you'll get a popup warning you that its a large side story, then you seamilyy slip into the DLCs framing device of it being a therapy session.

Ignoring all of that i still like the content. For the small one i play it frequently when all i want to do is a nice focused vertical slice of stealth insertion gameplay. I like to try different approaches, including ones i rarely ever do in the main game like a full on loud combat fight. Ironically it being completely separate from the main game is a plus in this specific niche case.

For the Palisade bank one the fact that it's so obviously a cut chunk of the Prague open city is really sad and a bit embarrassing (to be clear, these insults are strictly dedicated towards Square Enix and not the devs, the same guys who wanted Breach). My absolute most favourite gameplay moment in DX:MD, amongst many many absolutely stellar moments, is getting into the vaults in the Property Bank. It feels like a genuine bank heist sometimes, you enter the public areas, case the security measures, do recon, probe for weakness, make you insertion and get the loot. The middle DLC is this but more, and while it lacks a satisfying vault to break into its still a (data) bank heist.

And the prison break one is just fun, good story, cool undercover angle, good challenge if you choose canon mode, and a really neat unique environment. One small thing some games and artist do that can annoy me is set a location somewhere cool but then set it in a underground lab or cave or some other out of the way location that can be anywhere, basically not taking advantage of the location at all. The DLC takes place in Arizona and instead of that only being a super small pointless detail actually incorporate he heart and desert in the environmental designs. Also the incredible art design is still in full force instead of it just being a bland concrete prison.

The neat thing about each DLC is that despite it being super annoying that they were cut from the main game in order to farm customers for money, the separation mean you can sort of enjoy these precise vertical slices. The first one is a pure "insert into a secure facility" challenge, the second one is a small hub that you can explore and gear up before the big mission, and the third one is basically a full on "you leave the city hub for a mission", uh, mission.

I've been playing DXHR ever since the press preview of the game leaked before its official launch. I've been doing a recent playthrough of the game again, and for some reason it suddenly became super unstable. I've literally never ONCE had an issue with carashing across multiple hardware configurations, patches, literal games, hundreds of hours. I'm saying all of this so you understand that despite so many things surrounding the game changing the game itself has been unfailing stable. Just all of a sudden the save seems corrupted or something.

Literally as i was writing this i think i might know what it is, can the game become corrupted if there are to many objects dropped onto the ground? This playthrough is notable since ive been making liberal use of the dev menu. This isnt a new thing, Ive been "using" it on and off for small tiny things even on the base game, but in this case i have been storing a lot of stuff in my apartment....

By "struggle" i mean that a lot of the technical jank of older games gets to me, i need my widescreen and proper key re-binds and higher resolution. It doesn't have to actually change anything about the way the game is played or even the visuals. Though i do love a good "that's how i remember it looking" style of texture overhaul. that just makes things look a bit cleaner overall.

I know about The Dark Mod and own all the games on Steam.

EDIT: I went and got a proper Ph neutral car shampoo, now we will see what his reaction is.

Me and dad, who owns the car, are having a bit of a disagreement over this. He owns a 2020 GT53 and he washes religiously, loves the car and has a lot of respect for taking care of it. He is fine with me driving it however the unspoken rule is that i wash it before he needs it again. I went to wash it today and it just sort of struck me, he is very careful to use all the right cleaners for the other surfaces, a leather cleaner and a glass one, but it occurred to me that standard kitchen counter top cleaners and other household stuff may not be the best choice for the exterior.

Here is the exact order we clean in:

-fill a clean bucket with water

-add a small amount of the cleaner, just a few drops is fine

-use a microfiber mitt to wipe the exterior with the soapy water

-rinse the water with the hose

-dry the water with a microfiber towel

We make sure the towels are clear of debris.

The cleaner is ""Nature Clean 99% Natural Multi-Purpose Cleaner"
