I know this came up the other day and there were many comments saying this specific scenario was a non-starter because the transfer is valid as long as you board within the window. She specifically told me that, even tho I had tapped at 10:43, my transfer expired at 10:56 (original tap was 8:56) and it was now 11:05. I had to get off anyway so she let me go, but just a heads up.

I know this is a long shot but:

- We ordered an open-box fan from Hunter Canada on June 6.
- It arrived a few days later without any hardware (screws, etc.)
- I called the number in the instructions and spoke w someone who said they know nothing about Canada
- After pressing them for a bit on it, they finally figured out a way to track down the order.
- They told us they’d open a ticket but that they have no way to contact Hunter Canada and couldn’t provide any estimates on timing
- We called on June 15 to see if that had progressed and they said nothing but that they’d be sending out the hardware and it would take 2-4 weeks to arrive.
- We pressed again, explaining that we have had a hole in our ceiling and no fan for weeks and would like them to expedite the shipment.
- The manager we spoke with claimed that they can’t do anything to expedite because Canada. Ok fine. We will wait.
- Today is two weeks since June 15 so we called to check on progress.
- Come to find out they still haven’t shipped it. No real reason why. That’s just the way it is. But they do apologize for our frustration. It’ll be 4 weeks before we see it.
- We escalate to the same manager asking about how to get us this sorted because in 4 weeks, summer in Toronto will be over halfway over.
- We press again because this is getting out of hand. Ask if a human being can pick up the package and bring it to a UPS store to send it to us.
- We are told there are no people to talk to, no more managers to call, nobody in Canada to call, nothing.
- We inquire about getting some money back on the purchase and are told we can request a refund from Hunter Canada, which has to be done on the website…which also says no refunds on open-box orders.

So we’re left with nothing to do but fume. And ok it’s not the end of the world etc etc but I guess I’m putting this out there to see if anyone knows anyone at Hunter or Hunter Canada that we can contact, because I refuse to believe there are no humans involved in this process who might actually be sympathetic to this silliness.
