I am so glad to finally write this, though, I am trying to find time to draw Silent Salt's new form.

THERE ARE EIGHT GAMES. EIGHT WHOLE GAMES. AND MOST OF THEM ARE MADE IN A WAY THAT WILL MAKE YOU PLAY FOR HOURS. "But you are not a real fan!" What is this superiority talk? Just because you know who Dr. Wasabi cookie is? Like, are you the best fan ever imaginable because your favourite cookie is something other than most known characters? Like, you want to gatekeep being a fan so bad because it's apperantly your biggest accomplishment that you measure people's worth by how many cookies they know? You think you are THE FAN to decide how much of a fan someone is? THEY ARE JUST FICTONAL COOKIES—with awesome stories—DUDE.

I want to open commissions for my fanworks, which I do spend a lot of time on, but no app I have mentioned is available in my country. How tf am I supposed to sell my artwork?????

I have no life, lmao. These are just cookies in the end. But I am a literature student, so free thoughts on how devsis is handling the plot. They haven't written it badly, but it is rather a well-thought-out writing. I don't like how the story is headed, but holy shit it is entertaining and well written!!!! Little disclaimer: Shipping is totally fine!
(English is my second language, so I hope I was able to explain some things correctly. I am not trying to make anything accept my view or force anyone to think like me. I am just saying my interpretation, and it can vary. Though I just said these because the fandom has been reducing her to ship material when her whole deal is being married to her own goals to the point the world and the cookies around her faded away.)

This has gotten to the point that the fandom can't think of White Lily without thinking of her as some romance material. Every single conversation around her have turned into "but PVC is perfect for him if she just stops and talks!" or "But Pure Vanilla loves him and she just doesn't want to accept it." or "White Lily should just stop and be with Pure Vanilla because Pure Vanilla is forgiving" or "Shadow Milk understands her the best!" or "Elder Fearie had given her all she wanted but she still left omg she should have stayed" etc etc bla bla. I am so sick of her characterisation being reduced to a shipping material. I headcanon White Lily as Aroace because she has been in love with her goals rather than any cookie since the start.

Anyway, I am just so sick and tired of people erasing her whole character for the sake of getting her with anyone she has ever interacted with.

She is a free soul. In fact, she is using her freedom so limitlessly that her freedom has become the restriction of other cookies' freedoms. Her curiosity has caused millions of cookies to die, lives that could help the earthbread thrive. I would say that she is the opposite of solidarity despite being the purified version. She is not better than Silent Salt when it comes to pushing everyone away and keeping her mouth closed whenever someone begs her to explain. She walks the path she makes, and it crumbles behind her steps so no one can follow her. More so that she can care about people and still hurt them. She wants to be alone because she never truly believes someone can understand her the same. She is basically Silent Salt anyway, with the whole morality complexity. It makes her so interesting. She believes she is doing the best for the cookie kind by helping them reach a whole other stage (that's what Dark Enchantress wanted as well). But while doing so, she doesn't care about other cookies' autonomy and their boundaries.

I mean, if she is your favourite character, you can go and say that she is doing everything with a pure heart and she deserves forgiveness and she didn't mean to hurt anyone and she is this saint who cannot do anything wrong deliberately. You can say that I am misunderstanding her because she never wanted these to happen. I also know some people are scared to paint their favourite character as someone bad because the current social media trend is to say, "if this character does something bad and you love them, it means you are fine with that bad thing," but that's just not true. We can accept her flaws and her goods, y'all. Please. If her whole point was "she never wanted anything bad to happen, she was just curious", that would mean all the lives she had destroyed were meaningless, all those cookies who wanted to be by her but were pushed away by her were the best choices for her, and that her curiosity never caused pain.

It did. Just because she had been curious doesn't mean everything she has done is okay.

She had never once taken a lesson from her mistakes and kept walking on her own path, not caring enough about those whom she caused suffering. All she had said was a short "sorry" and that she needed to keep going. She did repeatedly say sorry. But it's like slowly pushing a button that will blow up a city, but you say "I am sorry" while everyone is telling you to stop. You still blow up the city because you need to get to the supposed oil under it that will make the world a better place. You still blow up a city, though.

She can be compassionate.

She can have a pure heart.

She can genuinely want to improve Cookiekind.

She can be horrified by the suffering she causes.

She can love people in her own way.

And she can still be profoundly irresponsible.

Those aren't mutually exclusive.

In fact, I'd argue that making her morally flawed is more respectful to her character than insisting she never did anything genuinely wrong. She did wrong. That's why I love her anyway. In the end, I think White Lily needs to confront what her freedom, curiosity, and convictions have cost other people. Pure Vanilla can be part of that story. He can love her. He can grieve her. He can confront her. He can forgive her. He can even fail to understand her. But he shouldn't become the solution to White Lily. Because White Lily is not someone to be solved. She is someone to be accepted. She is someone who doesn't want understanding; she wants acceptance. She wants freedom. But what is freedom when you don't know what confines you?

She escaped everyone else's restrictions. But perhaps she never escaped herself. And to say that Pure Vanilla should confine her back, that he should be the ultimate and good choice for her, and the fact that the fandom treats their relationship as a MUST as if White Lily can't survive without it is...it sucks. Most people in the fandom constantly frame Pure Vanilla as the person who will eventually understand White Lily, as though the ultimate romantic resolution is for him to finally decipher her. Maybe White Lily doesn't actually need to be deciphered. Just maaaybbbeeee she needs someone to recognize that they don't have to understand what WLC is like this to acknowledge that this is who she is. From every chapter I have seen in this game, Pure Vanilla struggles to "understand" others. He struggled with SMC and WLC a lot. And what I think needs to happen is that Pure Vanilla should stop trying to make sense of others and just start thinking that they are who they are. Otherwise, it leaves both SMC and WLC feeling like they are not accepted as a person and rather something to be comprehended.

TL;DR: My interpretation is that White Lily is more interesting as an aroace, morally flawed character than as romance material. She genuinely wants to help Cookiekind, but her curiosity and pursuit of freedom have repeatedly hurt others, and good intentions don't erase that. I want her to confront those consequences rather than be “fixed” through romance. And I think Pure Vanilla's constant need to understand people like WLC and SMC is worth questioning too; sometimes people don't need to be understood or deciphered to be accepted as people. (If you read this, I still suggest reading the whole thing because I explained these more in detail!)

Which one do I kin the most?

Probably Silent Salt. I kind of have his "there is no hope for this person" personality when it comes to seeing other people. I do think that I relate to his Guide of the Crumbled costume more than his default. Hell, most of the time, I am optimistic in my own problems, realistic about others. If someone complains about someone else's problem, I will be the first one to ask the other party if it is real. I see the solidarity in me. Though yet to be corrupted. So I do kin Silent Salt, what he once was, and what he is now.

Though the "analyzing people" part is mainly Wind Archer. I do a lot of analyzing and, most of the time, my guard is up before I reach a conclusion whether I want to have a relationship with someone or not.

Which one do I wish to be like?

Despite the obvious Wind Archer in my profile, I can't help but yearn to be like Fire Spirit, lol. Sure, he is lonely and struggles to express how he feels truly without masking it behind a cocky persona, but I still wish to be like him. Especially since he is doing something I can't do. I wish to have a personality that seems cocky, even asshole-y from the outside, instead of this mortal shell that is sometimes too afraid to say anything. By being more like him, at least I appear more confident in myself even if I am not, whilst now, I can only show my insecurity through my body language despite being confident myself.
