Is there a way to see the exact door number of a house without calling up the EA?

I see a house has gone up for sale near where I am currently in the process of buying from. I want to know the exact door number but they are the same estate agents that I am currently dealing with. To be honest, I don’t want them to know that I am interested in finding out the details of it. Is there a way to find the door number (without driving past as it’s not local)? I just want to see the previous sale price under that property and the year it was sold. Thanks

Why do people who are selling their house change estate agents?

What is the main reason? I am seeing a lot of houses on the market that are not selling but they have changed estate agents, what’s the reason for this?

Where can I have a dining table?

The original dining room used to be the other end of the kitchen when it used to be split into 2 separate rooms. However, we want to put a 6 chair dining table and believe there is only space for a small 4 chair one. We are thinking of a garage conversion, space on side and space at the back in the garden. Any thoughts? Thanks

What is the pros and cons of being first time buyers looking to buy a house to give on rent?

Is it best to be first time buyers and live in it? Or are there advantages of being first time landlords. Thanks

Should I leave my mum on her own?

For context, I’m from UK, hubby is from India. I am the youngest of 4 daughters who are each married and live in their own homes. We have no brothers. We have been living with my mum since we have been married and have 2 kids. She helps out with everything and I am forever grateful to her. However, we are looking to buy a house locally. I don’t want to leave her on her own but we are thinking to buy it and give it on rent. But then again at the same time we want our own home as the kids are getting big and there is not enough room. I know everyone has an opinion on this as daughters are supposed to go to their in laws but they are in India so we visit when we can. Mum doesn’t want to move to a new home but we want our own property. I look after her and take her to all her appointments. What is the best thing to do as we are in a good financial position to finally buy a house? Thanks

How small is a box room?

Would a size 2.67m x 2.62 considered a box room? It seems to be the smallest out of 3 bedrooms. What size bed could I fit in this room?

Sikh Gurdwara Wedding Theme?

We have been invited to a wedding and the theme is pink. I don’t have this colour for a wedding outfit so will it matter if I wore something different? We are not immediate family but I know most of the girls side is wearing it. My outfit is blue which is the grooms side. Will it matter if I wore this colour or is it not an issue? Thanks

How many times can you view a property when are in the process of buying it?

I assume there is no limit as the next time we go to see it we want to take a builder with us. We have seen the house twice already and love it but would like to get an opinion from a builder on some aspects of it. Searches are ongoing and we are nearing the end. Is it better to just wait for the keys or still view it for a third time just for that second opinion? Thanks

Advice on shared driveway?

We currently share our driveway with our neighbour and are looking to get it done up. Would it look odd if we did our side and not theirs? Could we offer them a quote and it’s down to them if they want to get something similar? I have attached a pic to describe my issue. Thanks

Can’t finish my food

Just started 10mg and realised I can’t finish my food at most meals especially at dinner. I am having to waste it and throw it in the bin. Anyone else do this at 10mg? Guess I must be overcooking if I can’t finish it.

At what age can you determine whether your child is a lefty?

My child uses his left hand more than his right hand. He is 2 years and 5 months old. Does this mean he will be a lefty?

What do you store in the space under your stairs?

We viewed a house today and they had a washing machine there which seemed like an odd place to put it. Ideally what should be stored there?

Floor plan advice please?

Hiya all, we are looking to buy a new property and have attached the floor plan here. In my opinion the reception room looks small and the current owners have their dining table there in this room near the door that leads into the garden. I’m not a fan of it but is it possible to use the space from the garage to convert that into a separate dining area? Would planning permission be needed? Thanks

Parent and child car spaces, does your child need to be using a pram?

I got questioned today for using a parent and child parking space at Sainsbury’s for my 6 year old. I ignored them but am I missing something? Are these parking spaces for babies in prams? Baffled that it even happened.

How do you stop yourself from viewing other properties when you are already in the process of buying one?

I have this bad habit of still looking around when I am in the process of buying one. Am I alone? Do others do it? How do you stop? I am thinking of deleting the apps. Thanks
