Terminustale is an au where error kills ink during a fight, throwing him into the void between universes. As he laughs, he notices that everything is starting to lose colour. A neighbouring au collides with the au hes destroying, immediately turns black, and melts. More aus start colliding, and all melt into the same black substance. Finally, error notices that the au he fought ink in, was not just a timeline, but it was in fact the original timeline. The multiverse collapses, and error realises what he has done, standing in a corrupted version of snowdin. He notices that the substance on the ground starts moving, trying to recreate the original timeline. Error runs into the ruins and hides in the uncorrupted patch of flowers. Some of the substance makes it in and turns into a merged form of gaster. Terminustale!Gaster offers to create a copy of the human to bring everything back, and Error sells his soul to him.

Terminustale!Gaster enters the void and brings Ink back to life, also using some of his power to create a human with a fragment of a soul. Terminustale!Gaster drags Ink and the human into the corrupted timeline, and Error slowly distances himself from Ink. Terminustale!Gaster grabs the two and accidentally knocks them out by forcing them together, so the human is sent to start the mission to recover everything. When they reach the end of ruins and reach corrupted snowdin, original sans rushes at them and forces a tough and intense battle the human must survive until Ink and Error come to rescue them. Original sans is recovered.

The au is based around the human, called VESSEL, recovering the entire multiverse. Normal enemies can only be killed. Bosses, which there will be a crap ton of, can be 'recovered' only if the aus needed for them to recover are there, or else they will need to be fleed from. Killing a boss will make Terminustale!Gaster revert the fight. VESSEL has a map of who they can recover and who they cant at that moment. The map shows a web of aus starting from the original sans and branching out into 'base' aus like Last Breath, Dusttale, Horrortale, Underswap, etc. Saving the original sans will allow the human to recover the 'base' aus, which let them recover aus based off them. VESSEL levels up by recovering many characters of an au with no single main boss (alphatale, godverse, etc.)

Trio, quartet, octet, etc, aus are not counted

God404 can only be fleed from until 404 is recovered

404 cannot be saved until Fatal Error is recovered

recovering 404, Alphasans (needs 404), Infected (needs 404), and Omni (needs 404), counts as recovering Alphatale, and VESSEL levels up.

recovering Insanity, Horror, Dust, and Killer does not level up VESSEL but allows them to recover satsujinki.

recovering Dust lets you recover Dustdust (i think you can see where this goes)

Ending

>!After going through a massively expanded underground, they finally reach the throne room. There, Ink and error are snatched up by an entity made of hands and eyes. Ink's skull is crushed by a string from the entity's hand, and is revived by gaster. Same thing happens to error, but the entity groans in pain when error's skull is crushed. Gaster notices that error's soul seems to be incomplete, the entity (The Console) seems to have a soul which fits the other half. Error concludes that it must be the evil of his soul that has materialized, and a brutal battle begins. Ink and Error help block unblockable attacks with their own, and VESSEL can finally attack without penalty. Slowly, the aus VESSEL saved come to assist them, and VESSEL does more and more damage. With the final blow, VESSEL deals infinite damage, and Error collapses as his soul also takes the hit. Ink desperately tries to grab error, but realizes that he is fading away. Error smiles as black liquid starts to leak out of his mouth, and he returns to his original sans form, before fading away. Ink stays where error was, thinking about what had just happened, while Gaster takes the remnants of error's soul. Hopeful music plays as Gaster inverts it and recreates the multiverse. The multiverse will never be the same, some aus have been lost beyond repair, others are highly corrupted and their inhabitants having to flee to others. Ink returns to the doodle sphere and fixes it up. Terminustale!Gaster rips open a hole in the doodle sphere and invites Ink to see the beauty of the multiverse he saved. Ink looks up at the many AUs, filled with creativity and passion, and smiles. Despite Error being his enemy for so long, a happy tear rolls down Ink's face as he finally recognizes him as a friend.!<

anyways would the two be discouraged from having children until a cure for the A.S. is found?

since both sides have the solver wouldnt the kid be prone to being the next host of the solver?

would the children just have a strange branch version that even the og A.S. doesn't like?

so yk how helptale is when multiverse too big and *pop* collapse, well i think thats what happens when error cant fight back anymore. so what about if ink fails to make aus as fast as error deletes them? maybe something called Nulltale where you have to restore the aus and remind error at the end that his purpose is not to destroy, but to maintain balance with Ink
