I'm just looking for a "what would you do/what CAN you do in this situation" as I'm quite afraid of what is going on with a neighbour causing a lot of antisocial behaviour and drug dealing on the property which is seriously affecting me, I'm just trying to find out what the process would be for them so I'm not just sat here panicking as I know it's something that's going to take a few days to get a response.

TLDR: sent my landlord an email politely requesting immediate action regarding my next door neighbour (rents from the same person) sent video evidence of drug dealing, smoking on the property, people hanging out in our shared entrance with money in hand (for drugs) frequent short visits from different people, him blocking our shared entryway whilst naked and so on, I have requested if they have anywhere else of a similar rent they can move us too and asked for a plan of action, will reiterate I was polite but direct, I have no issues with my landlord.

I moved in in may, within a month my neighbour threatened me whilst naked, I did send my landlord quite a distressed email about the situation just after it happened to which they just said they've never had reports of a similar nature about him before and he's been there a while, and to just call the police, I did, nothing happened

Since then I reported another event of people trying to gain entry into my flat thinking it's his, and that our shared front door needed fixing so these people would stop being able to get in, I also did tell them there was frequent visitors and loud noises, I don't have the response email but they were really helpful and fixed the door, when they came to look at it they did say it was fine before we moved in and looked like someone had forced it open.

At that point I bought a camera because I fully understand there's not much that can be done without evidence

This has been consistently going on for months, it's gotten to the point I can't sleep, mine and my partner's work is being significantly affected, I am having panic attacks every time I hear a door, I will also add, there is families with young children and babies that live above us, this is not a safe environment for them either and I cant imagine this isn't affecting them too

on Thursday I finally got the clearest video I could've gotten so I reported it to the police and sent an email to my landlord, the police have forwarded to the neighbourhood policing team but I haven't had a chance to give evidence or speak to the person who will be doing the investigation, I assume that will happen on Monday or Tuesday.

I said what is happening, how it is affecting us, sent a Google drive file including all the video evidence I have with timestamps (I have multiple videos of short frequent visits, smoking on the property which is not allowed in or around the entire building, people screaming and shouting for him outside our door, and THREE videos of him being handed something suspicious by the same person in a 24 hour period(they also did the generic handshake thing people do when they think they're being sly) sneaking in dogs (my cat is in my agreement, I know dogs aren't going to be allowed here) pictures of used needles on the path and him blocking the shared entrance whilst naked, they're all very clear, they have audio as well

I just wanted to know how exactly you would react and what the process would be for you in this situation, I know the renters rights act has changed some things, but I've NEVER had an issue with a neighbour and I'd like to think I've always been a good tenant, this is the first experience I've ever had of issues, so far my landlord has been quick to respond, but they haven't yet, I know it's a weekend and I'm not likely to get a reply before Monday, it's just keeping me up and stressing me out as all this evidence is from my window and I am just living in fear

I am also convinced this man doesn't own a washing machine or a hoover or anything to clean I've only seen takeaways go in, I've only seen him with a bin bag once and the stench outside his flat is horrific so I also imagine it's going to be a painful and expensive experience for the landlord as well 🙃

TLDR; reported drug dealer/addict/awful violent neighbour to police and landlord, I know it's the weekend and I'm not going to get a response from either before Monday but if anyone else has done this in the past what happened? Like how long did you wait, what did you have to do, I've sent evidence to landlord, haven't had a chance to with police yet.

I made a post here the other day, I was quite sleep deprived and was rambling so deleted it, It was also just before I'd made the report and I thought this would be more effective on getting responses

I've lived here with my partner & cat since April, the only reason I mention the cat is because that's the main reason why I havent tried to just stay at friends houses during this, and I'm also not in the position to move so soon after I've JUST moved in. It's a flat block, I'm ground floor at the back of the building, me and NFH share an entryway which is just enough room to open the door to get in

My first interaction with him was a month after moving in when he was running in and out of the house every 30 mins from 11am, at 4pm I decided to check on him, at this point I didn't think I had any reason to be scared of him so I opened the door to ask if he was okay, I hadn't realised he was naked or on drugs, I just assumed he was ill and needed fresh air, but lo and behold, he was angry, aggressive, definitely on drugs, threatened me and slammed my door into me

Police and landlord were told immediately, nothing came of it

Since then

Groups of people gathering outside our front door at ALL HOURS, and I mean all, sometimes evenings sometimes daytimes, waiting for the neighbour when he is not home, these people are well known around town for being drug users (crackheads) and although I have a lot of sympathy for homeless people, the ones outside my house are drunk, aggressive, and usually banging on his door relentlessly, I've confronted some before to which I've just been screamed at or they've ran away, police have been made aware but obviously as this usually happens when he's not there, they can't say it's his fault without evidence and or the people leave before the police arrive and then don't follow it up.

They do this when he is in as well, sometimes he just ignores them or doesn't answer for hours but at those times I'm too scared to tell them to fuck off incase he hears me

Repeats of him running around naked but I haven't been stupid enough to attempt to leave the house whilst this is happening.

Persistent cigarette smells among other unpleasant odours entering our flat through the entryway, this wouldn't bother me if I didn't choose to live in a non smoking building because I have a cat and it's not fair for them to be around it

He has cONSTANT parties every week where it's just essentially 3 day benders with very questionable people inside, hanging out outside and blocking my door

Its gotten to the point I can't sleep, every noise makes me shake like a leaf, I'm too scared to leave my house, if I see anyone going in and out I have to wait til I know they're gone before I can leave because I'm terrified to walk into anyone which makes me late or I just end up not going if it's not work, I've cut down my hours at work, my mental health is deteriorating SiGNificantly, I've recently also gotten sober and thought the move would help to get me away from people like that and I'd finally have a safe apace and I've just ended up right next to the thing I wanted to avoid and it makes it even harder to keep going with it

my partner is having his work performance affected as well, I do what I can for him in the house as he works nights, but he's also stressed and he's trying his best to support me through this too which isn't fair.

I'm definitely missing out some big things too, I've had people trying to get into my flat as well thinking it's his, so much shit

I have spent all this time trying to gather evidence with my camera as people kept telling me it was never enough and the landlord wouldn't do anything unless I did, I finally caught him on it picking up 3 times (you can't see the bag, might if you zoom in but it's 3 times, 24 hour period, same person, same clear shot of a generic handshake dealers do when they think they're sly handing over a bag) I've got ones of people sneaking dogs in (which again, not something I'd want to report otherwise but there's no way in hell that flat is a safe space for a bulldog that already struggles to breathe) I've got ones of crackheads banging on the door at stupid times, I've got one of him blocking the entrance naked and visibly incoherent, ones of people smoking in the flat and so on, I have a lot.

I reported this to the police on Thursday, they've sent it to the neighbourhood policing team, I also called again on Friday because something else happened, they said they are going to contact me early next week, I haven't had a chance to send them any evidence yet though

I emailed my landlord about it all too, I went to a few people about how to word it and it's as clear and concise as possible, I sent a Google drive link to all the evidence, put emphasis on how he's committing antisocial behaviour, potential drug dealing taking place outside my flat and the awful stench whenever I open my door, I have politely demanded immediate action, requested that if they have any other places of a similar rent we can move to if they can't fix it without putting us in any danger and that I don't take any pleasure in writing this but as a woman who spends most evenings alone due to my partner being at work and it predominantly happening then, I genuinely fear for my safety and look forward to hearing from them & their plan of action

No idea if that was a good idea but I'm SICK of living like this, I have panic attacks every time I hear a fucking door being opened

I'm currently in bed watching films trying to keep myself calm and I can hear him banging around and being sick because he's on a comedown because he's had drug dealers and sex workers and god knows who else around this weekend, I really don't want to live like this, I just want somewhere safe, I don't even care if I have loud neighbours who party a lot of ones with screaming kids, that's fine, that's whatever, but this, this is not.

Anyone who has reported any of this and had a response and what exactly happened, please tell me everything, good or bad, I just wanna know what I'm expecting as I've never done this before

Have had issues with my neighbour since I moved in in may, first occasion was him off his nut naked running in and out of his house and standing at my door, I didn't realise he was naked, opened the door, he got very aggressive and threatened me,(happened at 8pm) I spent the evening panicking, I did call police and tell the landlord, police turned up at 4am, he didn't answer, nothing came of it

Introduced himself to my partner the next day as if nothing happened

Has also introduced himself to my partner about 3 times since then (I've gotten really lucky/been paranoid enough to never have had to walk into him since, we share an entrance, this is hard)

He has a number of different people visiting often at different times of day, sometimes multiple times, originally the entryway door didn't shut properly because it had been forced open(landlords words) so a lot of these people would attempt entry into my flat thinking it's his, this has died down a lot since June but hasn't stopped entirely

I've found used needles in the alleyway that leads behind the block we live in that leads to our shared door

Had a group in the shared entrance before the door fix, all knocking relentlessly from 2-4am when he wasnt home, all with phones and money in hand

Had MANY people outside the fixed door screaming to get 'sorted'

Undrugdealer related but he is so fucking loud with his door, the front door and his latch at all hours of the day, he and the people he has over are incredibly disrespectful

Partner came home from work at 5am(nightclub) to 3 people waiting outside with booze, he politely asked them to keep it down if they're partying as he just finished work, they laughed in his face

I have a few videos of some short visits, sex workers (the audio in the vid confirmed it) him blocking the doorway naked(2 months after the first interaction) some people screaming and knocking, and yesterday I caught him on video being handed something small, very suspiciously, by the same person, twice, it is very very obvious what is happening in that video. Also our rent agreement is this is a non smoking building, the entrance absolutely reaks of cigs whenever I come home

There is probably a lot more in forgetting and will likely end up adding in comments to people when I do, but do I have enough now that if I was to report this to actually get them (my landlord&police) to do something, I called the non emergency police earlier to make a report, explained everything I did in this post & more, I hadn't sent any video evidence, they said they'd contact me first to talk to me about it and then send me something so I can send them things, I have also drafted an email to my landlord politely demanding they take action and either move us to another property or him.

It's affecting both mine and my partner's work, our friends and family don't want to visit because of it, I have 2 baby sisters I would've like to be able to have over sometimes, I can't sleep, my mental health is the worst it's been in a long time because I am in a constant state of panic every time I hear the door incase it's someone drunk and aggressive who is going to threaten me and I'm constantly in fear for my safety when I have to come back home after work at night

There are also other families here, my upstairs neighbour I'm certain has just had a baby (or they were very quiet before last month for some reason) and this is not a safe environment for them to be in either

8 weeks ago I had the worst mental health episode I've ever had, I stabbed myself in the arm

I had 2 tendons repaired and 1 was so badly frayed it couldn't be, and I don't think I'm going to ever regain the strength in my arm/wrist, so now I have the most embarrassing and horrific scar across my arm, ive had to quit my job because of alcohol (pub) I'm also now no longer able to go to the gym to do the things I want to do, I can't play video games that well, I can't even lift up a tub of butter without pain.

Please don't be stupid like I was, I don't know how I'm going to work on getting better emotionally when I've lost things to help myself physically too

I had the game working perfectly over 6 months ago when it said it's unplayable, I uninstalled for space for newer games, trying to play again, now it's saying it's playable but I'm just getting an immediate crash on startup

My crash log says AMD anti-Lag2 failed to initialize for d3d12 and then fatal error if that helps

I've tried proton ge, proton Cachyos, 10-04, experimental, hotfix, tried them in desktop mode, also tried putting dx11 in launch options, I probably missed something somewhere

I genuinely feel so unsafe in my own home, after a month of living here the neighbour was having a meltdown, naked, blocking the entryway and threatened me when I went to see wtf was going on outside my door (I was polite, I wasn't going out with any aggression and my partner was at work so I was alone, I made a post about it mid panic attack but have since deleted it) I called the police and got nothing from it I have literal crackheads I've seen in town in alleyways and doorways in big groups and fighting etc etc stood right outside my door knocking consistently for hours from anywhere between 2-7am and he doesn't answer so it keeps me awake and I can hear their snorting and shaking and most of them sound completely incoherent, I have videos of them knocking and stood there, from last month I've started making notes with times and tried to video it, I'm looking into getting a peephole camera so it isn't obvious and then I don't have to stand on the other side of the door trying to video it THROUGH the peephole but I'm poor right now so can't, and I don't want something as fat as a ring camera because I feel like it's begging for trouble from them

This morning there was someone knocking from 6am-6:30, I had enough so I shouted through the door that I'm trying to sleep and he's not gonna answer if he hasn't already, no response, heard another knock so I opened my door with the latch and said basically the same thing, id never seen the man before, he looked ILL when I opened (as in, drugs) tried to say he was knocking on him to get him to go to work(blatantly a lie & the neighbour got back at 4am slamming around) after I shut the door, about 1 minute later he then proceeded to slam the entryway door and shout "thanks for fuck all (neighbours name)"

A time before that one man started knocking at 1:30 am, was aggressive, it went on for half an hour til a woman had turned up, then another one, they were completely incoherent and nothing they said made any sense(I was videoing through the door) one had a phone in one hand, money in the other, swaying loads and yeah

So I can't really help but think what I am thinking, I obviously have notes and a few videos of the people stood in the hallway, they've brushed off every time I've tried to call about it so I desperately want to know what I need and how much longer to this needs to go on before I can live in peace 🙃

Also, I wouldn't give a fuck about any of this if it wasn't literally making me feel so unsafe in my home, I've lived with people who do drugs, I used to do drugs, most people do drugs, who CARES I just want to not have violence, shouting and danger outside my doorstep, that's the only reason I am doing this.

I played dd1 religiously & have only recently had a chance to play 2, I've discovered high fiving and playing catch(and they're so much better at it than 1)

The town I live in is pretty bad for crime, I live in a flat block, been here 2 months, ground floor entrance is at the back, I share an entrance with 1 other neighbour, they've been weird before, erratically running around naked and threatening me, he did apologise to my partner the next day and that was our only interactions the entire time, he's rarely around, has quite dodgy people over quite late at night (multiple short visits up to 4am, I work nights so not bothered by noise, just weird and theyre all clearly not sober, doesn't seem like a party kinda vibe either)

Just had someone quite aggressively knock on my door, it's a light door so the knock might not have been as aggressive as it sounded, I'm not sure if I heard my neighbours latch(he puts it on very loudly when he comes in) or if they're anything to do with him, my door was locked but they did try to open the door

I looked out the window and it looked like a big man wearing a high vis, I'm not expecting any deliveries, the only possible thing I could think of is that I get letters from TV license(I legitimately don't need one) that's all I can think of,

I am just a bit freaked out by the attempt to open my door, I was watching YouTube on my playstation loud enough to be heard so i thought it's obvious someone is in, I just refuse to answer the door to anyone unless they're expected.

(I could possibly be overreacting, I've had the worst nightmare neighbours before so I try my hardest to not interact or bother anyone and I know I can be paranoid, I've had ones at my door screaming and threatening me because the flats walls and floors were thin (and carpeted) and she thought my cat having zoomies was me stamping on her head, there was no chance in even speaking to her about it properly, she even turned up at my work, so I am fully aware I have nightmare neighbour PTSD 😅)

I want to buy a shirt and hoodie from an American musician, rough estimate of the weight is probably around 1.5kg and costs $60 for both items, his website is made to order and only ships to the US, I just wanted to know if there's any way to know the average shipping costs in the US and then whatever tariffs/tax/duties etc may be? I keep getting hugely different answers when I google it so was hoping someone had some experience or advice, I am very new to this & haven't ordered anything from the US before even if it ships to the UK itself, It's unlikely I'll be able to get his merch any other way as he's a small independent artist so any help would be super appreciated!
