ome life sims give different countries real mechanical differences (salaries, life expectancy, crime), others treat birthplace as cosmetic. When a game does simulate it properly, does it actually change your decisions — do you emigrate for the salary multiplier — or do you pick your country for the vibe and ignore the numbers? Trying to work out whether that depth ever gets noticed in practice.

Challenge idea: the Reverse Inheritance. Start rich, die broke, but your kid's stats must all be higher than yours were at 18

Rules as I've been playing it:

• Gen 1 must start with the richest possible parents (reroll until you get them)
• You have to die with less than $10k to your name — giving it away counts, gambling it away counts double
• Before you die, your child's smarts/looks/health/happiness must all beat whatever yours were at age 18
• No God Mode

Hardest part is tanking your own money without tanking the kid's happiness. Anyone got a cleaner ruleset for this? Curious what people would add as a gen 3 condition.
