The Switch and Switch 2 have been amazing for rhythm games. Which ones are your favorite?

This has been the best platform for rhythm games imo, and there have been a ton of really solid games in the genre released on the Switches.

I’ve been playing the hell out of Final Fantasy Theaterhythm Final Bar Line recently which is a great game and a really solid piece of fan service. Taiko no Tatsujin, or known in my house as the drum game, is my other favorite on the Switch. Simple gameplay, a huge variety of songs across genres, and a really nice art style.

What are some rhythm games you’ve enjoyed and would recommend others check out?

Was doing some cleaning and found the last of my PS2 game collection. Not pictured: Silver slim PS2.

Some classics, a few obscure games, and a stinker(EOE, if anyone remembers that one). I might hook the old girl up and give some of these a spin.

Crimson Sea 2 is a really fun hoard TPS, sort of in the vein of Dynasty Warriors, but with space bugs.

CV Curse of Darkness was as close to a 3D SotN as we’ve gotten and I think it’s a bit underrated.

Shadow Hearts is a classic series that should be played by everyone.

Does Donkey Kong Bananza get less…mindless?

So I just picked up a Switch 2 game bundle(yay!) and went with DK as my game. I know it was made by the Mario Odyssey team, which is an easy 10/10 for me, and I’ve seen a lot of glowing reviews, so my expectations were high.

I’ve been playing DK for about 45 minutes and I’m honestly a little confused as I expected a little bit more. I know I’m early on in the game, but it’s just room after room of digging and burrowing and punching with zero thought or mental stimulation other than collect shiny things.

The physics are cool, but does it get a little more interesting, creative, and challenging as it goes on?

[Request] Is it possible that this person had any impact on slowing down, turning, or stopping this boat and trailer from hitting the parked truck?

There was a debate where this was originally posted regarding the person’s ability to turn the boat by grabbing the trailer hitch.

Edit: can anyone provide any math? The debates are great but I’m interested in the literal physics. Thanks!

Radiant Manor: Greenhouse Wing. Can someone explain how this section works?

Note: I’m just screwing around a bit here to show the specific area, so I don’t need critiques on gameplay lol.

This area is a bit confusing to me, and leading up to here I was attacking gaps and a platform would appear, but I have no clue how this section works. I am stuck on the part in the clip above.

Thanks for the help everyone! Hopefully this post will help others out in the future because my Google searches had no answers.

Is Kindlewood: Overgrowth the best bone farming location?

You can make 450 bones in 15 seconds and your underlab is right there to reset enemies.

Septemburg: Stormwatch Way might be one of the most unfun levels I can remember playing in a game

First off, I’ll say I’m really loving the game so far. It was a little clunky at first but once you get going and sync with the controls it’s a blast.

But my god, I’m absolutely hating Septemburg right now. It’s not poorly designed, it’s just incredibly annoying. Between the changing winds, those mother fucking mandrakes lol, the Carving Man following you, the lightning(even when wearing the Voltaic guard), and getting swarmed with the scare crows who throw sickles and the ones who throw fire, it’s been a slog to get through.

Again it’s expertly designed because it’s quite clearly designed to be aggravating, so kudos to Yacht Club games.

And just to really get it out of my system, fuck those mandrakes lol.

Alright, back to it so I can finish this section and never, ever return to it.

I have over 700 hours on numerous platforms and this is the most broken build, and highest score I’ve had.

I’m not even sure what these numbers mean at this point.

A simple breakfast burger

80/20 patty, egg, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, black pepper, ketchup, potato bun. It was amazing.

Just a quick example from the Prophet boss on biome 1. You have plenty of time to fire off a power shot, activate the shield to absorb more bullets, then get another power shot off, rinse and repeat, without taking any damage.
