Salvation Army Prices

Anyone else shocked at how high the prices are at the Salvation Army on Council Rd? Their shelves are jam packed with outrageous prices on everything.

Found the Rickey from a $40 Facebook purchase.

Bought a bunch of cars off Facebook for $40. Just found the 1980 Topps Rickey Henderson RC.

Love dealing with FB buyers.

Love the assumption that I’d take $10 in a $50 item.

Got my 1964 Topps Roger Maris.

Putting together a run of my favorite player Roger Maris. I like to do it by finding them in person. Buying off eBay is too easy. Picked this PSA 3 up for $47 at an antique store/flea market.

Have you ever declined an offer out of spite?

Have a really nice antique toy up on eBay. A complete one with original box sold for $180. I also have the original box but am missing 1 piece, a bar to connect 2 items. Everything else is there and in excellent shape for being close to 100 years old.

Since the one like mine but complete sold for $180, I listed mine last night for $150. This morning I got an offer for $135 with a note that said “missing bar connection”. Yes, I know that, I made sure to mention it in the description and priced accordingly. Would you decline the offer out of spite or take the $135 win?

6 month update: I have now seen 22 plates starting with JIC.

I posted over 6 months ago about hunting for plates that match my cars JIC. I had seen 15, and am now up to 22. I’ve seen over 2% of the plates starting with JIC.

Saw a whatnot live streaming at a Flea Market

Wife and I went to a Flea Market today. Saw a gentleman live streaming sales in someone booth. If someone bought the item online he’d have the booth owner set the item aside to purchase.

Thought?

Got one over the Salvation Army. 1935 16mm film of Betty Boop & Grampy for only $5.

Found this for $5. As I was checking out the 2 guys weren’t happy it was only $5. They thought it was a training film. I told them what it actually was after I’d paid. Was worth it to shove it in their face. They love to google lens and price things high.
